Brian Cadd has enjoyed a 40-year ride through the music industry, in Australia and internationally… what a wild ride it has been.
Here, for the first time, are exciting historic events, poignant and revealing personal moments, plus all the fabulous anecdotes and road stories from a lifetime on stage and in the studio - all told in Brian's unique raconteur voice.
In this joyous, tumultuous and sometimes hysterical odyssey - from his early years in Perth, through his coming of age with The Groop and Axiom, continuing through his phenomenal solo period in Australia, his 20 years in the USA and Europe and his induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame - Brian carries you along on the ride in language laced with intelligence, wit and humour.
You know the wonderful songs Brian has written for everyone fromJoe Cocker to John Farnham and his own timeless classics like'Little Ray of Sunshine', 'Ginger Man' and 'Let Go' In this, his first book, he shows us a whole new side to his writing talents.
Maybe I should make a new shelf - "skimmed" - because that's pretty much what I did with Brian Cadd's autobiography. For some reason it didn't hold my attention like I thought it would. So possibly my 2 stars is a bit stingy considering I didn't "read" it properly.
