Brice Morgan thought love at first sight was some ridiculous notion of school girls and old ladies who read too many romance novels. At least he does until he meets Bailey Bishop at a friend’s wedding and falls hard and fast for the intriguing woman.
Bailey Bishop attends her cousin’s wedding with no intention of extending her brief visit to Oregon. Married to her career as a paleontologist, Bailey tries to ignore her intense attraction to her cousin’s best friend, Brice. Ready to return home to Denver, Bailey instead accepts the opportunity to explore a new dig site not far from the family’s ranch in Grass Valley.
Can she keep her feelings for Brice from derailing her plans for the future?
As the autumn season arrives, love falls on willing hearts at the Triple T Ranch.

Cheers to another GREAT book, The Cowboy’s Autumn Fall, by the incomparable Shanna Hatfield!! Brice Morgan never believed in love at first sight, that is until he sees his best friend’s cousin Bailey Bishop, a woman who believes love and romance have no place in her life. Brice and Bailey’s story is one that’s very hard to put down. This Grass Valley Cowboy series is nothing short of Amazing. Continually, Shanna Hatfield’s cowboys and strong resilient women make for wonderful reading.
Another book I loved in this series. I loved Bailey and Brice and their crazy romance. Poor Bailey just couldn’t allow herself to follow her heart where Brice was concerned. Brice is head over heals in love with Bailey and she with him so you would think that this is a perfect match. One problem though, she is married to her job and just can’t see how people can have both marriage and a happily ever after and still be devoted to your job and do it well to advance to be the best. After all it’s all she knew and dreamt about her whole life was to be the best in her field and nothing was going to get in the way.
Ah a perfect romance or is it. One I thought was made just for the books. But then…well until it still is but won’t happen. Hum, I think you better read this one too as the other books in this series to find out if there will he that HEA. Maybe this one just can’t be. But it is such a good story and I loved it like all the others I have read in the Grass Valley Cowboys series. Yep, it is a must read for sure.
It took Brice and Bailey both well into thier 20s to fully realize that true love was not a hideous thing. Bailey being the odd one out, typically never entertained a desire to join other her age in the games children play, thus becoming socially inept and illiterate in any type of a relationship, both with her family and with members of the opposite sex. Both saw each other at about the same time and literally fell in love at first sight. Bailey fought it the best she could but Brice revealed in it waiting as patiently as possible. This was a very touching story and we'll deserving of the five stars.
I hate to only give this four stars, but Bailey...good gravy! How much meaner could she possibly be towards Brice. He treated her like a cherished love and she literally treated him like a part time play thing. She loved her work more than him. I don't know of too many men who would have the patience to endure her almost constant wrath and indifference...
Most of the book I truly did enjoy, except when her selfish and hateful attitude came out. Also, the story ended rather abruptly. I was hoping that their reconciliation would have been more lengthy.
I kept with this title because I just loved Brice's character. Bailey nagged on my nerves.
As much as she annoyed me with her dialog, I also felt it wasnt consistent - some scenes she would go all "professor" in her dialog and the next she was talking like a typical contemporary character.
Sometimes this book felt forced, especially around the conflict that threatened their HEA, and what brought them together.
I thought this one was a little more risqué. It's still clean, but there was a lot of steam that I skipped pages on. It was hard to stay invested, although I think it ended well. I'm still looking forward to the Thompson momma!
This series has made me fall in love again and again, and this book is no different! Bailey and Brice are two characters that are so full of life, and unique. I loved the story!
Brice and Bailey set off fireworks at first contact.
The characters and struggles they overcome are easy to identify with them. Bailey learns that you can have your cake and eat it too. Thoroughly enjoyable tale of overcoming insecurities.
This is another fun book about the Thompson family. This continues the saga. This time it is mostly about their cousin, Bailey and her love story. These books are fun, light hearted love stories.
I really enjoyed the nerdy knowledge handed out in this book. I loved how the characters showed personality and Bailey was book smart and learning how to be love smart. What a great book!
It was a fun series to read about this cowboy's and finding themselves wives amongst the ranching and whatever else was going on. But this book is for the total romance person because it was all about sizzling romance with little story.
What a great addition to this series. I absolutely loved Bailey's love story. I love all the characters and how they make me feel like part of the family. I recommend this book.
Brice is a very humorous, kind hearted and loving guy. Bailey, on the other hand, is stodgy. They meet up at a wedding and Brice is very taken with Bailey. Can they make it work together?
This is the only book I’ve listened to by this author. Cute story but oh how cheesy! I cringed every time he called her Sugar and it was way too much!!! I feel like I accomplished a lot by finishing.
Thank you Ms. Hatfield for a good read. This series has proven to be a great storyline. This book was not a disappointment. Great modern cowboy romance..
I really enjoyed reading this book. So far each book of this series has been different but yet full of excitement and adventures. This story was very powerful.
I’m gonna admit this was an odd story. Mainly because Bailey is an odd person. I’m not saying there’s no one out there like her … just so much like any of the norms. That said… The fact that she and Brice are so opposite really plays well. And I ended up loving this one as much as the others.
Brice and Bailey-you wouldn't think they would work together based on their interests, but they do! I love that Brice knew nearly the moment he set eyes on Bailey that she was the one for him, and boy, did he work to pursue her and show her that! And though Bailey really feels the same way deep down, she's not sure what to do about that-it doesn't really fit in with her plans to fall in love with Brice so she ends up giving him quite a run for his money. Thankfully, it all works out in the end and the journey there and sweet romance along the way is so much fun! Oh, and the heart meltingly tender peak into Travis and Tess's honeymoon was perfect!
Brice Morgan, the best friend of Travis Thompson, has never taken romance seriously. Bailey Bishop, a cousin to the Thompson brothers, is devoted to her career. When Brice asks Bailey to dance, all their ideas about love are changed forever.
The Cowboy's Autumn Fall, Book 4 of Grass Valley Cowboys, continues the story of the Thompsons and Morgans. The book begins at the wedding reception of Trent and Lindsay, so a glimpse into everyone's lives is immediately given. Shanna Hatfield again delivers a funny and sweet romance for this extended family and friends.
I purchased a Kindle and paperback copy of this book.
