Good view how Grifin wants the world to be fair. Goes a little past the limits but it always works out in the end.
If you like to see justice be done. Read this book. If you like groups conspiring. Read this book.

How do you prove yourself innocent of a crime when you are only in middle school and everyone in authority thinks you are guilty? That's the problem Griffin Bing is battling. Yes, he has had his problems lately, but this time he is totally guilt-free. Really!

All Griffin wants to do is find his missing retainer before his parents discover he has lost it yet again. When the missing retainer shows up in the trophy case where the school's pride and joy, a famous Super Bowl ring, usual sits, fingers point immediately in Griffin's direction.

True, he has recently been connected to the theft of a valuable baseball card and a crime at the local zoo, but that doesn't mean he is involved this time. Unfortunately, that's not how the principal and a very annoyed police detective see things.

Before Griffin knows it, he is attending a new school especially for young delinquents and he's also under house arrest. Both make it very difficult for him to find a way to prove his innocence. With his amazing ability to think of a plan and with the help of several loyal friends, Griffin may be able to figure out who has framed him.

Author Gordon Korman uses his trademark humor and passion for crazy schemes to create another great middle grade adventure. Readers will love the quirky characters and nonstop antics as Griffin attempts to convince the adults that someone is trying to ruin his reputation. FRAMED is the third Griffin Bing adventure, so be sure to check out SWINDLE and ZOOBREAK, too.

This book is another Griffin Bing series, and this time Man with plan himself is framed of stealing a super bowl ring after his retainer was founded in the case. He is sent to school where criminal boys are sent. So Griffin investigates the suspects but to his dismay none of the suspects stole the ring. So Griffin gathers up his team of best friend, animal expert, climber, technology master and actor to find the ring. Just like the prequel this book is amazing. It is mysterious, full of reversal and humor. I liked the idea that the man with plan has no plan this time. And I liked the ending where the ring was stolen by no one suspected or expected. Also it helped me understand how America deals with criminal boys.

234 pages. Another great book by Mr. Korman. The adventures of some now middle-school kids continue with the third book of the Swindle series. This time a valuable Super Bowl ring goes missing and it looks like Griffin Bing is the main suspect. He is put under house arrest after having to appear in court before a judge. What a mess! Can his friends help him find the ring AND learn what really happened to it? Great realistic fiction. Kids will enjoy it. Plot moves quickly and keeps a reader on edge. Lots of twists and turns along the way keep things interesting. Highly recommended Grade 5-7.

This author is becoming one of my favorites. I like how a lot of is stories revolve around how people are mistaken for something their not. In this book, for example, the main character is pronounced a thief, when he has done nothing wrong.

The book I read is called Framed by Gordon Korman. This is a summery of my book. The main characters are Griffin, Savannah, Ben, Pitch, Logan, Melissa and Dr. Egan. The setting mainly takes place at their school, Cedarville Middle School , but the story also takes place at Griffin’s house, Savannah’s house and the secondary school JFK.

My book was about a student named Griffin Bing that was framed for stealing a Super Bowl ring that was first found in the school’s janitor closet. The school principal accused Griffin because his retainer was in the display in place of the ring. Griffin did not steal the ring and he tried to prove that with the help of his friends.

The first plan to try and prove this was Operation Justice. Griffin and his team sent out a secret email to the those people they suspected to be the thief. The email was a trick offering money for the ring. The next plan was Operation Stakeout. One of the suspects they thought framed Griffin was Dr. Egan so they were spying on his house. Neither of these two plans worked.

While trying to find the Super Bowl ring Griffin was suspended from CMS and had to go to JFK which the students called Jail For Kids. He made a friend at JFK named Sheldon who helped him look for the ring. A conflict for Griffin is that he has to wear a PEMA anklet. A PEMA anklet is an anklet from the police that gives a signal to them if Griffin leaves the house when he is under house arrest. The last plan that the group made was Operation Dirty Rat. That took place at CMS on the night of the play. Griffin, Savannah, Ben, Pitch, Melissa and Sheldon were at CMS looking for the pack rat that Savannah said took the ring. Savannah thinks the rat stole the ring because she knows that pack rats take shiny stuff and replace it with something they already own. Since Griffin’s retainer was already missing for a long time and was found in the display case, that suggested the pack rat replaced the ring with the retainer. When they found the rat they followed it all the way to the basement of the school to the rat’s stash. So Pitch climbed up the pipes and vents and saw something shiny. One character is is Griffin Bing. He is strong and never gives up. Another character is Savannah. She is smart and is up for whatever comes her way. I would recommend this book to all kids. People should read this book because it has a lot of action and it is a good story. I would rate this a 10 out of 10 because it was a great book.

This book was a very good book to read, but you wouldn't understand the characters of the book very well if you haven't read the other two books before this, Swindle and Zoobreak. The character Griffin Bing is one of the most interesting character in the book. He has so many different characteristics that comes with his character. First he comes up with so many very good plans, that is why they called him "The man with the plan". Then he is forgetful, because in this book he keep forgetting that his retainer is in his mouth and lets it fall out. That is what got him in the whole problem in the first place. He forgot that his retainer was in his mouth, it fell out and that is when the pat rat took it and placed it in the trophy case.

The ending of the book was not even thinkable. Who would think that a pat rat was the one who framed Griffin? I bet you that most of the people thought that the principle was the one who stole the ring and replaced it with the retainer. That principle(190)just had it out for Griffin.

Overall this book was a very good book, every book I have read written by Korman has been very good. I still like Zoobreak better than this book but it was still good.

I read the book Framed by Gordon Korman. This book is about a Griffen that gets framed for taking a Super Bowl Ring when he didn't do it. Griffin got a new principal and he does not like him at all. The new principal make the school football exercise, and Griffin loses his retainer. Griffin looks for his retainer but can’t find it, so he has to get a new one. Later that week someone steals the Super Bowl Ring that was in a case. When the principal see that its gone, he also sees Griffin`s retainer in the case by where ring was. Now get Griffen has to go to JFK which is a jail for kids. Now he has to figure out who framed him, so he can clear his name.

The main character in this book is Griffin. He is in middle school. In this book, Griffin has to go to a jail for school and he learns a lot when he’s there. Also when he’s there he has to come up with a plan to free his own name.

I think this book would be good for kids from 10 to 15 year olds so mostly for kids in middle or early high school.. People of both genders would like this book because kids in this book working together.

I think Framed is a good casual read. It start's with the protaganist Griffin being accused of stealing a Jets Super Bowl ring since his retainer was in the case where the ring was. Griffin was getting many punishments like having to go to another school and having a police detector on his ankle. At the other school Griffin had to start going to he met a boy named Sheldon. He knew that pack rats often take shiny items from places so Griffin made a plan to clear his name. The plan worked and he proved that a pack rat took the ring and that he was innocent. I thought this was an enjoyable that wanted you to keep reading. It also shows some kids that it's not right to steal and to see how you can be punished. Griffin got punished by basically being on house arrest and having to go to a different school than where his friends go. I would recommend this to fifth through about ninth graders as a laid back read. It is not the hardest in the world to read but enjoyable. All in all it is a neat book.

Have you ever been framed before, well that's exactly what's happening to Griffin Bing in this 3rd installment of the Swindle books #3 Framed.
Griffin suspects that something right away when the new principle brings a boot camp kind of place he's brought to the school. There an example in the story when the principle gives a dirty look at Griffin and Griffin said "Do we have a problem". That was hilarious to me.
I have a great feeling when I read this book I think it is really funny and adventures it wasn't that enjoyable as it boring in some parts but overall it was good. It was really cool how it was funny and kind of adventurous, it's like a multitasking book it was quite fun reading.
I rate this book a 3 out of 5 I don't think really deserves a medal or something like that but it was kind of enjoyable when it comes to entertainment but lack a taste of quality. I think the author tried to show its mood with the multiple hilarious moments that established the mood of funny.

Like the other books it was a little boring but at the same time really loving. The thing with this book is that it invites a lot of new characters. The thing I also noticed was that the characters had the same goal every time, witch is ok but I feel that Gordon should change it up a little bit. Even though I thought it was a little boring, you should give it a try and you never know, you might just like it. One more thing, I think the author really did try to entertain people with this book because he had a lot of description, especially when the good parts came.

A super bowl ring has been stolen. A retainer was found from the crime. It shows that Griffin stole the ring. Griffin didn't do it but he got suspended to "police school". He tried to find out who did it but he could not investigate because he was on house arrest. If not handed over he would be in huge trouble. They kept looking got into trouble along the way, including a PEMA bracelet. It notifies the police if he left the house. He eventually had to break in the school and found the ring which was stolen by a pack rat.

It was a very good book. Its for people who like action and twist in books. It has police, animals, Best friends and just good fun. Griffin he gets framed and all evidence points to him... so its up to his best buds and a guy named shank to save him from jail. People who wouldn't like it are people who like serious books. But i thought it was very good.

I have read over 80 books from Gordon Korman’s masterful pen. I did not read much when young because of a dual form of dyslexia, because of that I have a great fondness for Middle Grade books, and books for tween and teens. Korman is one of the all-time masters. I set the goal of reading all his books about 2020. I have read books in all his series, and all of the standalone stories. My introduction to Korman’s works was the 39 Clues back in 2009. But I really did not get into them until my son’s teacher gave everyone a book with a note in it at the ends of the school year. Since then my son and I have read many of his books together.

Not counting omnibus editions I believe that as of the summer of 2025 Korman has published 109 books. And one comes out early next year. As of the reading of this volume I am down to 25 unread books. With each that I read I am entertained and often challenged.

This book and was released originally in 2010 and the last in the series in 2016. There are 19 editions of this volume currently listed on Goodreads, and it is available in French and English.

The description of this volume states:

“Griffin Bing's new principal doesn't like him. And Griffin doesn't like the boot camp football atmosphere the new principal has brought. Griffin manages to stay out of trouble -- until a Super Bowl ring disappears from the school's display case, with Griffin's retainer left in its place. Griffin has been framed! Unfortunately, the Man doesn't have a Plan - and everything his team tries to find out who really took the ring backfires. Griffin ends up in an alternate school, then under house arrest, and finally with an electronic anklet - with no way to prove his innocence! Griffin smells a rat - but will he be able to solve the mystery in time?”

The about the author for this edition states:

“GORDON KORMAN’s first two books featuring Griffin Bing and his friends were Swindle and Zoobreak. His other books include This Can’t Be Happening at Macdonald Hall (published when he was fourteen); The Toilet Paper Tigers; Radio Fifth Grade; the trilogies Island, Everest, Dive, and Kidnapped; and the series On the Run. He lives in New York with his family and can be found on the Web at his website.”

I really did not know what to expect when I started this series. I left this series till the end for 2 main reasons. First it is the longest series to date by Korman. And Second, I am not a huge dog guy, and also not into anthropomorphic stories. I had never read the descriptions, and just kept skipping over it until it was the last series for me to start. Once I started that first one I really did not want to put it down. And it took a lot of effort not to just jump to the next volume, or rip my way through the series. I read books in a number of series between books 2 and 3 in this series. So even though it had not been that long, it was a like a visit with old friends.

Book one is described as Ocean’s 11 with kids, it lived up to that statement, and to some extent even more so in this second instalment. This third one has a very different feel because of the circumstances and Griffin Bing being mostly stuck n the side-lines. I am so looking forward to where it goes in the next six stories in the series.

This is another excellent story about friendship, about kids standing up, and about life in a small community. Griffin Bing is the man with a plan till everything they try seems to backfire. But an acquaintance from the alternative school steps up and might just have the key to saving Bing’s bacon, but not without some mishaps and struggles along the way.

This is a great story. It continues an amazing series. I can easily recommend it. Another great read from the master of the school story! But watch out for the dodge balls.

(Listened to audiobook version)

In this book, the third in the Swindle series, things start to get real. Well, sort of. After getting away with two capers scott free, Griffin is now assumed guilty for a crime he didn't commit, and the gang must now work to clear his name. Once again, ignore the cover. The dog is not the main character, and only plays a small part in the story.

The problem I had with the book is that unrealistic assumptions and decisions are made constantly. Yes, they are young kids, but they should be a bit wiser than they are, and many of the adults show just as much incompetence.

I'd also prefer to see more depth to the characters. I grew a little tired of Savanna's blatant double standards, for instance. One minute, she praises an animal's honor for following its instinct, and the next minute she says you can't blame an animal for following its instinct. She has a serious (and unrealistic) blind spot when it comes to animals' wrongdoings. When they do something good, she praises and gushes. When they do something bad, it's not they're fault, and they don't know any better. That's no way to train animals. However, simple characters are easier to get to know and easier to understand, so this being a book for children, it's forgivable.

The shortcomings are real, but the book is still a good read. It injects a bit of how serious messing with the police and the court system can be, which was needed after the first two heists. If you read and liked the first two, continue forward!

The same narrator as from the first two books performs well here, too.

Name: Holden
Title: Framed
Author: Gordon Korman
Publisher: Scholastic
Copyright Date: 2010
Total Number of pages: 234

Setting
Framed takes place in New York but most of the action happens at Cedarville Middle School and J.F.K (jail for kids).

Characters
There are a lot of characters in this story but the main character is Griffin Bing. All of the characters are believable. My favorite character is Sheldon Brickhaus’s because he is funny and strong.

Plot
Griffin gets framed for stealing a Super Bowl ring. He finds the real thief through a lot of planning. Griffin lost his retainer. Griffin gets framed. Griffin goes to J.F.K. Griffin tries to finds the thief. Griffin gets placed under house arrest. Griffin tries to find the real thief again. Griffin gets an anklet. Griffin has a plan. Griffin finds the real thief. The ending was very good why because it was funny.

Personal Opinion
Framed was a good book. I loved it. I would change nothing at all. I leaned that being framed is horrible. Everyone should read this book. I would rate this book a 1000. I couldn’t put it down. It was so good.

Cedarville school's new principal finds a donated Super Bowl ring missing from the locked display case. Griffin Bing 's retainer is on the pillow in its place. Griffin has been in trouble before (books #1 and #2 of this series) and the principal is convinced that Griffin is the culprit. Griffin has been framed but has no way of proving it and has no idea who took the ring. Thus, the plot begins.

The story was okay (although the resolution was disappointing for me), but the attitudes and deception used by the "good guys" are inappropriate in my opinion. I understand that this is just a middle-grade funny novel not meant to be taken seriously, but character and integrity can still be taught in such a setting. A total disregard for any adult authority smack as the MO for this group of friends.

Korman writes what middle schoolers love. What didn't work for me will have them on the edge of their seats I'm sure. I just didn't like that even though Bing kept getting deeper and deeper in trouble, he still thought it was okay to try just one more "plan" and be an active part of it. I guess I shouldn't look too deep or think to much like the adult that I am, but I can't help wondering if one of his plans actually worked and just the kids got the ring back, how would anyone believe that he didn't just have it all along? I did like the ending and what he did for Shank. Again, I really do think middle school kids continue to just eat this up. I think it was a 3.5 for me but I will continue in the series since I think I own at good portion of them.

I loved this book because there are mysteries and there are other books talking about this book and they have a lot of suspects and people in the books. This book would be perfect for 5th graders who like other mystery books and suspenseful books. If you like the book named Zoo break then, you should read this book called Framed. This story focuses on a boy named Griffin who is called The Man With The Plan by his friends and he is named Griffin Bing. His dad makes inventions and he is trying to be called an inventor from other people. You can start this series by reading the first book called "Swindle". They need to find who did it and bust him/her. Or it. Will Griffin find the person or thing who framed him? Read this book to find out!
