Her desire to continue her education drove her to attend night classes at Waltham High School. She refuse to just let life be. There is too much to learn than to stand by and watch it go by. Though she is not fluent yet in either, she has learned to speak French and Spanish in school. One day her dream is to be fluent in both.

Travel is one of her great passions. Having seen the beaches of the Bahama’s, Aruba and Mexico to the deserts of Utah and Arizona, her personal favorite was bicycling down Mount Vail and standing on top of the Intercontinental Divide, followed closely by the Grand Canyon.

I started writing with a flawed theory that a manuscript need to be complete and perfect before anyone would even want to read it, never mind publish it. the first thing I learned was it took a whole team of people to make a novel.
Most readers never appreciate the number of people that work on a single book for print. People I have a great amount of respect for.
That being said, I started my adventure by submitting three stories into a four genre contest. As it would have it, they wanted my Young Adult story. the pre-order for this novel began on Jan. 25, 2011.

This story was such a sweet story. That actually made me cry more than once.
It starts out with the news that Daphne was pregnant but she didn't know how to reach the father. She was looking for roommates after her previous roommates graduated and moved on.
Jordan and Julius are looking for a place to live and come across Daphne's ad. They call about it while Daphne goes to visit her grandma.
Daphne returns their phone call, but when they come to the door, she finds that she is more confused that she was before about the father o her baby.
What happens as she gets to know her new roommates? I can't tell you that. Read it and find out.

This is the opening line to The Roommates and the pace doesn't stop from there. Daphne is instantly likable, and the Sweet brothers? Well, Richards pulls you along and lets you first learn to like them, then love them right alongside Daphne.
So get cozy, grab a couple of tissues -there are some mushy moments- and settle in for a sweet tale of fighting for love.

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Michele Richard's. I've read everything she's written and The Roommates is another to add to my list of amazing books. I love the fact that right from the start, things are a mess. It's real and raw and I found myself holding my breath in several spots.
