During that time, Craig has trained with professional athletes, as well as multitudes of dedicated, ordinary individuals just wanting to build lean, muscular body weight.
Craig is a member of the National Strength & Conditioning Association and holds an MBA from Loyola University of Maryland.
I'm the author of this book and wanted to give you a little insight beyond the book description.
First, if you are interested in bodybuilding or have been for some time, you'll probably know that there has never been a book written that encompasses all of the diverse bodybuilding training systems and techniques that have evolved over the past century. This book does that. Along the way, I always try to make the reading experience enjoyable through stories, and make the practical application worthwhile through many examples and guidelines.
I started my journey and education into bodybuilding over two decades ago. And, as the owner of practically every book written on this topic, I can ensure you that you'll save a lot of time and money with a Cliff's Notes type approach to the field, as I've presented here.
If you enjoy this book, and are really serious about packing on the muscle, I think you'll find my book "Supermen: Building Maximum Muscle for a Lifetime" valuable as well. That book is all nuts and bolts and summarizes exactly what has worked for both myself and for the hundreds of individuals I've trained over the years.
This book has pretty much everything you need to know about bodybuilding. It has information about the history of bodybuilding to the explanation of the different bodybuilding techniques. It shows how different bodybuilding techniques have developed so that the reader can decide which bodybuilding technique suits their needs. The author also encourages the reader to adapt the different methods to their training routine. And he also reminds the reader that over time they should use a variety of different methods in order to develop their body to its potential. This book is a must read for anyone who has an interest in fitness and bodybuilding.
I've been on a very big health kick since the summer. This ranges from eating right to hitting the gym 5 times a week.
During this time, I've bought A LOT of fitness books designing my diet and routines. This is one of those books that I bought.
This is hands down one of my favorite fitness / workout books. This isn't just your standard book that gives you a workout routine and tells you to follow it. This book breaks down the history of body building which teaches you where these routines came from and how they have evolved to what they are today.
This is probably the most informative book I have ever read on all methods of bodybuilding. Some dating to the sixth century.
While I am not a body builder - my husband definitely loves it, and even though his highly injured back does not allow him to achieve Craig's own results - he still loves everything that has to do with working out.
Thus I'm planning to plant this book on his kindle when he sleeps. Definitely an interesting read and incredibly informative. I just wish it had pictures :)
Great overall book especially if you have been away from the world of fitness for a while like I have. Great refresher for me as I was a personal trainer in my late teens and early twenties. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who is just getting into bodybuilding or for someone like me who is getting back into shape after a long layoff.
What a comprehensive guide to the numerous bodybuilding protocols.
Really well explained and probably just the right level of detail for most people.
It isn't a training guide so be aware of that, but it will give you numerous ideas and allow you to develop your own training plan, adapt an existing one and give dozens of ideas to blast problem areas.
