Wayne and Lily Brown have been married for twelve years. However, their marriage didn’t start out in the most conventional of ways. Wayne feels the weight of what he did to Lily all those years ago, so he tries to set her free.

When Wayne see his wife with someone else, he knows he has to do everything he can to win her back. But Lily is intent on showing her Beast, how good life can be if he learns to slow down and to let her inside his heart.
This Christmas, Wayne Brown is going to learn what it means to have a family and a woman to love.
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
I liked the first book, the very first love story of Wayne and Lily (Blackmailed by the beast). Personally, I just didn't see the point of this book. I mean sure, after 12 years together, drama ensues and guilt appears. But, for the love of all that is good and sweet in the world, if you really loved someone enough to blackmail them to stay and marry you- would you leave them on a whim, without consulting them first?!
I think not. Im just glad that Wayne did not cheat, or I would've rated this book no stars at all, for piss poor judgement on his behalf. He has a very weird way of showing his affections.
*rant over
Well, this book is uh okay. But an actual plot is overshadowed by sexual prowess. The only consolation of the story was that, Wayne at the end of the book had a EUREKA moment!! [quite long overdue, if you asked me] Im just glad its a HEA...
I was impressed with this novel right up until the epilogue. It was sweet and romantic. There was also a lot of pain and emotions of all different kinds. However I hate books that end with them aging and people dying. It reminds me of my own mortality and while I'm not scared of death, I don't need to be reminded of it.

It took me a little longer to review this book because I found out that there were more books in this series before this one. So that I wouldn’t feel that I was missing anything I went and got the other books to the series. I am glad that I did that because I would’ve missed a lot of things that I needed to know.
Every now and then a book will come out that just makes you take a break and look at what is going on around you. That is what this book did. Even if you’ve been married for awhile and you really love each other. You can always blame yourself for the way things went that brought you together. That is what happened to Wayne and Lilly.
They came together out of blackmail and feel in love. Twelve years later and even though they truly love each other. Wayne still feels bad and decides to change things in their marriage. With the help of great friends he realizes the error of his ways. It made Wayne realize that things were just passing him by and he was missing the greatest part of his children’s lives.
I enjoyed this book. I just can’t explain the feeling that I got when I was reading it and after I was done. I am still feeling this greatness. It made me look at the way that my kids are growing up faster than I realize and that I need to spend as much time with them as I can.
I love when I read Sam Crescent’s books. Yes they are hot read and some are short and some are long. They always have some meaning behind them. I really love this series and I am happy that I got the chance to read it.
4.5 stars. I truly enjoy so far all of the author Sam Crescent books. I have to say thank you for being back the beast aka Wayne back. I truly enjoy the first book of Wayne and Lily, this was better. I truly understand what Wayne was trying to do, but he did it in a very irrational way, that cause more hurt and very coward way. He is adorable how loving he is toward his wife and his family; but his parents where dysfunctional all the time. I guess after he blackmailed Lily's father he had to do a quick thinking. Even though I was hurting for John, knowing he was in love with Lily, Wayne fought for the woman that he loved. I do have to admit, I will give him hell for a while longer before accepting him back home; but truthfully I understand Lily, that was the only man she ever been with and fell in love unconditionally regardless of the way they started. She was happy with her husband and family, he just didn't know that it was true. Once again, Bravisimo to the author a well written story, keep them coming, please. One more thing, It is true what another review said, the cover of this book should be different. That is the only thing negative that I could see.
So I read the first 3 books in this series within a 2 day period. It took me about an hour to get through this one because I was so excited to read it. Lily and Wayne are such emotional characters and have only grown more in the 12 year span depicted in the books. From the moment I started reading the book, I was crying (which is a wonderful thing). It was such a heart wrenching and gut twisting story. I will not give any spoilers but I was very pleased with the conclusion. Thank you Sam Crescent for writing these wonderful books. I look forward to the next one in the series because you can't leave us hanging about the other 2 couples.
At first I thought, this one seems unnecessary but as I read it felt like a beautiful closure to Wayne & lily's story...12 years into their marriage, Wayne's mid-life crisis/behaving like a jerk(how guys usually do)..the Christmas spirit and then epilogue with 37 years down the lane.. L-O-V-E-L-Y
...Book 1 was good, this one was not. Aside from the grammatical errors there was no real point to this story…except for marital self-help... ...After struggling to get through some of it, putting it away for a while, then coming back hoping something climatic was actually going to happen, regrettably I was sorely disappointed.
Book 4 of the Unlikely Love Series is a waste of time, but I still look forward to seeing what else Sam Crescent has to offer. #adultsonly #snoozer #fail
as much as i loved the first book in this series, IMO there was no point for this book...i.rushed through this book skipping most of it n still feel i didn't miss anything...i m not sure how u love sumone so much that u bind them to u by an ironclad contract n then a few years later try to divorce ur so-called soul-mate on a whim n then the height of naive-ness is u think that ur ex will only pursue their career dreams n won't get involved wid sumone else...seriously...
This is a great addition to the blackmailed by the beast story. This continues on from where they left off in the first book and it shows you what happened next Wayne is riddled by guilt, he feels like he has taken something away from his beautiful wife that he can only give back by leaving her. This is a great book about falling in love and fighting for that happily ever after. I would recommend this book to anyone
Wayne and lilly... I couldn't get into part 2.. their was no reason really why after 12 years Wayne wanted to "Divorce" his wife he loves.. and still loves.. like?? Dude? Really? Only reason why he stop was cuz lily and their friends told him they set her up.. on a date? Like dude? Your angry she'll date again? Even if this was to show him hey look what your doing.. It annoyed me..it was unwanted drama..
Wow what a story.☺ How could he leave . But love is so strong. Got to read to find out .
Wow what a story.☺ How could he leave. But love is so strong and little push and show what could happen if you loose someone you live. Well can't tell everything. You got to read it to find out .☺😍 but must read all series . True love always wins. Love it . Plus love lily went thru with her daddy passing and her husband being with her as well
Omg....this book was freaking FANTASTIC .. The beast was do stupid to think she didn't want their life .. He's dam lucky she forgave him...they dated and got closer than every sweet sexy hot .. Her dad was wrong to say she was too forgiving though because if she wasn't as forgiving as she was he wouldn't have been in her and her family's life after all the abuse he let her go through because he gave up
Not my favorite story! The whole plot was contrived, unnecessary and ineffectual! No real payoff as there was a meh conflict and I felt nothing for the characters, which is sad seeing as I actually liked their initial story! 2 1/2 stars!
I don't think this story was necessary, because their first book was great. Besides that, I was expecting more interaction with the kids, they are mentioned but they rarely appear in the story. Overall it was an OK story compared with the others in the series. It has a lot of sex ... maybe a little too much.
I can't believe im saying this...but it felt like there was a bit 2 much sex and that interfered a few times with the character development;( otherwise, I loved both the sequel and the primary story;) 5 stars!
