Palmer has been designing for The McCall Pattern Co. since 1980, and Vogue prior to that. She has written the guidesheets for 250 patterns and includes fit and sewing tips. She is dubbed The McCall Pattern Company's "Fit Expert." She has been an educator for an interfacing company, a department store buyer, and has conducted seminars throughout North America and Australia. She currently teaches workshops in Portland, Oregon where she trains consumers and teachers.

An oldie but great! The illustrations are a bit dated but the information is top notch! Get this before you select a serger so you know what to look for (even if from a library), then read it to find out what you can do with it! Pati Palmer can teach you more than how to fit clothing! I don't give 5 stars out lightly.
