The world is a dark cruel place, and Scarlett fits right in. Trained by her father to steal, torture and kill, and ignored by her drug-addicted mother, this little girl isn’t made up of sugar and spice. At the age of 15, Scarlett gets her first taste of blood and is faced with a growing hunger for more as she struggles to live a normal life. She may not make it out alive, but nothing says love like a kill... or death! This machete-toting killer will be pushed to the limits as she fights to protect her family, and prevent things from spiraling out of control. Alliances are formed, and the thin line between friends and enemies become hazy as these rebels make their way through life. Scarlett finally meets her match when she makes a handsome stranger her prey, and fate deals one dirty hand after the other. Some will survive the mayhem, and some will fall, as bodies litter the streets of the D.M.V. Welcome to the Rebel’s Domain, where most will be scarred for life!
I really, really like Art of Deceit, but Rebel's Domain, Yo that was my shit! And then to see how it is connected to The Art of Deceit got me waiting on more from both books like 😲😲😲😲👀👀👀👀👀. Scarlett, give her just a little more time, she's gonna be a straight beast, especially if she kicks Terrell to the curb (that boy is not ready for, nor can handle her), and get with the Bae Ramsey! Don't get me wrong, shorty, she's holding her own and can hang with some of the best, but give her some time and she will be nothing nice, straight unstoppable. Oh and her little sister, I'm watching her cause while Scarlett got blinders on when it comes her, nahhhhh little one gonna be coming wit the ish too.
Rebel's Domain is the journey of a young girl, Scarlett, who was trained by her drug addicted father to survive the streets of DMV by being a killer through the art of seduction. Scarlett is unlike any other female you may know. She is dangerous to the point she gets excited thinking of blood. Through some events that led to her watching her parents being tortured and murdered a few feet from her, Scarlett becomes a force to be reckoned with. A 15 year old girl is now forced to grow up since, in essence, she has to take care of herself and her little sister Savannah. Savannah is a few years younger than Scarlett but thinks she has enough knowledge to take care of herself. As the merry go round of life as a trained killer continues, circumstances always seem to put Scarlett in the position to kill or be killed. Through Ms. Fabiola Joseph's storytelling skills, you are pushed into a vivid and colorful picture of a young girl who will be "scarred for life." Happiness is sought but hard to find when your life has never been a fairytale. When Scarlett attempts to break the cycle by no longer killing, unseen hands seem to pull her back into the scene to complete the task that her father taught her from a young age. Will SCarlett come out unscathed when her past catches up with her? You must one-click to follow this story that is unlike any urban literature you will ever read. Ms. Joseph, job well done and keep them coming. ***fan for life***
Fifteen-year-old Scarlett and her younger sister, Savannah, have not had it easy as the daughters of two addicts, one of whom has checked out mentally. A bad situation takes a turn for the worse when the girls are orphaned and have to feign for themselves.
Fabiola Joseph’s “Rebel’s Domain: Scarred for Life!!!” started out as one thing and turned into many things (and other people), as if the story got away from the author. It often fell on the side of the unbelievable and unrealistic. Readers were asked to believe things without a solid foundation for them. Things seemed to happen just for the sake of adding drama, violence or sex and did little to propel the plot. The story also didn’t offer closure but was more of a set-up for the next. I am at a loss for the title and how it applies to the story.
With three credited in the editing process, the number of errors was disturbing.
“Rebel’s Domain: Scarred for Life!!!” was not a terrible book, but it’s in need of help. With the proper assistance of a development editor to focus the story, put the plot on solid footing and strengthen the character development, it has potential. As is, this is not a book I’d easily recommend to others.
Rebel's Domain tells the dark and unique story of a young girl named Scarlett. Scarlett has been trained to kill, steal, and even seduce under the watchful eye of her drug addicted father. Savannah is Scarlett's younger sister and after payback from a previous job lands at their doorstep, Scarlett and Savannah are left on their own. Scarlett struggles to be normal, but all the while has this unquenchable thirst for blood.
Rebel's Domain was fast paced and there was never a dull moment. There were scenes that actually left me with my mouth hanging open in disbelief. This book is definitely a must read and I didn't want it to end. It also was very refreshing because the storyline was so unlike anything that I have ever read. Make sure you get this one, you won't regret it!
I just finished reading this and let me say I enjoyed it! Ms. Fabiola did a really good job with this one. This book was different it was raw and uncut not like any other book I have read, this book was very well written and you can tell the author took time writing it. From the first few pages the book draws you in and makes you want to know more about what is about to happen. We meet Scarlett who is the main character and a young girl who has to grow up faster than she wants to since both of her parents are on drugs. Scarlett is trained by her father to steal, kill and rob. Never knowing when anything could happen with her parents she makes sure to absorb as much as possible from her fathers teachings. Will Scarlett have to use her fathers teachings or will his teachings become a waste of time.
Rebel's Domain was a fast paced read. This story will take you on an action packed journey filled with killings and an urge for blood. It will take you through things that no child should have to go through, but not only does Scarlett go through it she is living through these things everyday. After a very traumatic experience she tries to be a normal teenager until she realizes she has a taste for blood that cant be buried down within her. Scarlett is on a search for blood, she lives for the kill, but will her search get her in trouble one day or will she continue her quest?
The world is cruel but thanks to her father Scarlett fits right it, she can go up against them all no ones to big or mean for her. She proves that all girls are not made of sugar and spice... Scarlett is NOTHING nice!
Cant wait to read part 2... hopefully I wont be waiting too long!
Scarlett is only fifteen years old when her crack-addicted father pulls her into the underworld in order to provide for her mother, "The Queen", and her twelve-year-old sister, Savannah. Teaching Scarlett everything he feels she needs to know in order to be the best at what they do, her father has mixed emotions when he realizes that his training has bred a cold-blooded killer.
When the peril of their “job” catches up to them, unforeseen consequences turn their world upside-down. Even Scarlett and Savannah find themselves at odds when it becomes clear that Savannah has learned the tricks of the trade secondhand. by spying and eavesdropping, and is no longer willing to live in Scarlett's shadow.
Now both sisters are on a destructive path and each wind up in situations that may lead to their inevitable demise.
Fabiola Joseph is undoubtedly making a name for herself as she continues to spin creative tales in imaginative ways. "Rebel's Domain" is filled with enough gore, sex, revenge, betrayal and plot twists to keep you turning the pages until the bitter end. Her subplot is leading towards the spinoff, “Pretty Little Killers”, and the final chapter lets us know that there is definitely a lot more to come in “Rebel’s Domain 2”.
One thing is for sure, Fabiola Joseph has certainly found a fan in me. I can’t wait to read what’s coming next.
I will admit that I was a bit skeptical about this book judging from the synopsis and cover. It seemed different from my usual genre of reading and it was due to that very reason that I enjoyed the book as much as I did. "Rebel's Domain" introduced another side of Fabiola Joseph as it was unlike the previous books that I have read by her. Scarlett wasn't your typical around the way young girl. She had dark secrets, instincts and desires and made it hard for me to distinguish my feelings towards her. At times I felt for her because she was just a little girl who was bred into something sinister and evil. At other times I wanted to strangle her for wrecking unnecessary havoc in her life as well as the lives of others. There were times when I felt as if there were too many subplots intertwined into the overall story line but Rebels Domain kept me thoroughly entertained and proved to be a quick read. Ms. Joseph did a good job with the writing style and vivid details of this book.
This book was a beast. It was about a girl name Scarlett who is that girl, she was trained to kill and steal by her dad. Her mom was not really around much due to her being on drugs. Which lead Scarlett to look out for her little sister Savannah. Scarlett and her dad went out on a job lets just say it didn't go so well. Savannah wanted to hang with her sister; also she wanted her father to train her like he trained Scarlett.
Savannah wanted to hang with her sister, and wanted to train like Scarlett. Being the baby they didn't let her they wanted to protect her. So what will happen to Savannah will she be on there team? How will Scarlett do working with her dad?
Fabiola has done it again storyline was good and it was well writing. I love her written its never the same. So if you thinking about buying this book go head and 1-click you will not be disappointed.
Before I begin this review, I must say that Author Fabiola Joseph is quickly climbing her way up the list of my favorite authors. Her work thus far has been consistent from day one. Such is the case with " Rebel's Domain". It is the tale of a young girl by the name of Scarlett. Trained by her father to kill, steal, and rob, she doesn't have a chance at a normal childhood. When tragedy strikes, Scarlett is left to take care of her sister, Savannah. Will the two come out unscathed or will they forever be scarred for life? " Rebel's Domain" was one of the most gritty, uncut books I've read in 2012. It is not for the weak at heart. There were scenes that made me literally sick to my stomach. It was very fast paced. The storyline flowed well and the characters were in depth. I hated for it to end. Can't wait for part two! 5 stars!!!
Scarlett is like your typical gifted child. She’s uniquely talented and so brilliant that she’s blinded by her own abilities. The fact that her gift is detailed robbery and malicious violence means her stubbornness could literally be the death of her or the few people she loves. Her little sister Savannah has an attitude that’s just as bad with skills only half as sharp. These two and their friends take the reader through some funny and scary adventures throughout this book.
Despite death and darkness silhouetting her sexy frame. Beauty deceives, intrigues and intoxicates their marks. It makes them deaf to their own intuition until it’s too late. A pretty face and a smart mouth distract from skilled hands with hidden weapons.
The words grasped my attention as the emotions transcended the pages. Desperation became three dimensional. I looked around PG County and D.C. with new eyes as I imagine the crimes described between the pages lying behind dark alley streets or large suburban homes. Beauty is deceiving. This book is the truth!
I can’t wait to read the rest of the series and all the other works previewed in the back. I’m officially a Fabi Fan!
Depending on your circumstances, crazy is just life
Craziness, depending on where you call home & what kind of life your parents give, can be the only "normal" that exists some people know. At just
15,Scar is that darkest, scariest, coldest & deadliest product of her environment feared by all & failed by society. What future could she ever have with the past & present she's already lived?
I can't wait for the next part of her story to find out how the $hit hits the fan!!
Rebels Domain written by Author Fabiola Joseph was a book like no other. The cover alone will grab your attention. If you have never read a book by Fabiola, then let’s just say you are sleeping on a very talented and gifted author.
We as a group gave Rebels Domain five out of five stars. The book was well edited, and the cover is out of this world. The story was flawless and full of suspense. This story held that "edge of your seat" feeling throughout the entire book. The story was centered on Scarlett, a certified killer by nature. Scarlett alone will keep your eyes glued to the pages eagerly waiting to see what she has in store for her next prey.
The book is a tale of a young girl who struggles with the death of the one man who loved her, and that was her father. Scarlett is thrown from being her father’s right hand man into being the sole caretaker of her sister. She already has the mind of an adult, but now her adult skills are being put to the test. While dealing with a sister who envies the relationship she had with her father to relationship issues, Scarlett feels like she’s going to crack at any moment. All this while being the caretaker of a teenager, as well as being a teenager herself. Scarlett also wants to fulfill burning desires that she has within. Desires that keeps her from going crazy and keep her feeling close to her dad.
The book is full of other characters who are equally captivating. Trixie was one of the groups favorites. Her “use what you got to get what you want attitude” kept everything she did intriguing. We all loved her fire filled attitude. One of the things that we as a group enjoyed was the character development in the book.
The ending was a big surprise that will leave you wanting more and more. We are hoping that the author doesn’t stop and leave us hanging. We look forward to discussing more work by this author in 2016.
As the daughter of drug addicted parents Scarlett didn't have a typical childhood. Her father out hustled hustlers to keep the monkey off of his and his wife's back. By the age of 15 Scarlett had become her father's protege and had mastered how to steal, torture and even kill potential victims. Unbeknownst to both Scarlett and her father is that younger sister Savannah had managed to soak up some tutelage as well. When tragedy rocks their dysfunctional family how will Scarlett with her ever increasing blood lust and Savannah with her need to prove herself both fare?
Rebel's Domain has an intriguing premise and although the girls' family structure was unconventional it was still yet loving. At the same time the harm done to both daughter psyches were irreversible. This paved the way for author Fabiola Joseph to pen a book full of violence and depravity which is exactly what she did. It was slightly disturbing to read about such heinous acts committed by characters so young. My hope is that both young ladies will somehow be able to pull themselves from the dark path of destruction that their traveling on by part two.

What I love the most about reading a book by Fabiola Joseph is one never knows what to expect from her!!
With REBEL'S DOMAIN readers are introduced to Scarlett, her sister Savannah, her bestie Trixie and a few other characters. Scarlett is the head honcho of this story. Trained to kill by her father, Scarlett has a true thirst for the hunt. After some drama pops off with her family, Scarlett is now responsible for taking care of her younger sister Savannah. That's where Daddy's training comes into play. While Scar is on a mission to keep a roof over their heads, Vannah, gets into her own bout of drama and mayhem. Trixie helps her out, and a pact is formed between the two.
This book was amazing! It didn't send me on an emotional rollercoaster, but it was so packed with drama that I didn't even care! Each character held their own throughout the pages of R.D. The plot was well thoughtout and executed. i am seriously hoping there is a part two cuz I need more!! Great Job Fabiola!
In reading this story, I was looking for the same versatility that Joseph shows in other works. While the story is different, something seems to be missing or off with this one.
Scarlet starts off strong and pretty much unbreakable but you find cracks in her armor. Her sister at first seems to be portrayed as weak but its almost as if she has more heart than Scarlet. The violence, drama, loss, and other emotions run rampant and keeps the story moving but then you feel like something's missing. Its like you missed a key part but can't put your fingers on it.
I really enjoyed this book, it was a little different but a great read that kept me interested. I would love to read a Part 2 of this book of when Scarlett is older:-) this was my 1st book I read from Fabiola Joseph but as soon as I was done reading this I bought 2 more of her books
