Nova Reynolds is waiting tables to save enough money for her dream: to continue college so she can be accepted into a veterinarian program. When the offer to intern at a horse ranch is presented to her, she's beyond excited. Finally something is going her way.
But the offer comes from the cute guy that's been frequenting her diner lately, and even though Nova was interested in Austin before he presented the idea, she feels like she can only choose one door and it's definitely not a boyfriend.
Working at Harmony Acres becomes a dream come true and Nova quickly feels at home with her surroundings. But being around Austin becomes difficult as she tries to separate her personal life from her newly found professional one, and it doesn't help when he keeps himself in the running for her attention.
From Austin's secret car racing career to a questionable friend from his past, there is always an obstacle threatening to keep them apart. Happiness is all Nova has ever wanted, but Austin's ambitious personality seems to keep it hanging in the balance...
Writer of sweet romances, cute love stories, happily ever after, etc, whatever you'd like to call it!
Inspiration comes in many forms, from raising a family to the amazing people I've come across in my life. I love to involve myself in charities, local and abroad, and I've witnessed an array of miracles upon doing so. I'm curious by nature and never stop learning. If someone asks me a question I cannot answer, I'll research it until I can!
I'm thankful for my friends and family-- they always amaze me. I'm especially grateful that they allow me the opportunity to put my thoughts into stories that others can read and (hopefully) enjoy!
Thanks for taking the time to check out my work. I appreciate your feedback.
I am definitely a Delaney fan. I love YA Romance Novels but most of all, your books are clean romance and fewer bad language that I can tolerate.
Well, I was so use to the love triangles in the previous books but this one thru a curve ball at me. Glad Nova needed up with the guy she needed to be with. Austin did tend to make me wonder if he ever deserved her. Ready to read the last book and can't wait for more Delaney books.

Do what you love, and if you haven't found what you love, follow your heart until you do...
I don't even know if this line was a part of the book or just a little message to readers since it was placed before the first chapter. I think it's the theme for the book but what do I know?
Whatever the case, it drew me in.
Because let's be honest, you don't always know what you want to do in life or there are those times when you think you want something but you find out later that there is something else you want. Or maybe I'm the only one???
Nova has a set plan for her life. Work hard. Go to school. Become a vet. And NO relationships. That's a huge point. She doesn't think she has time for a serious relationship and she just wants to focus on her career goals.
But life throws her the unexpected when she meets Austin. She wants to be single and free to focus her time on her work and studies, but there's something about Austin that she just can't resist. She finds herself wanting exactly what she was trying to avoid - a relationship with Austin.
But a relationship with Austin isn't the easiest thing when he starts pulling away from her.
Now, I'm gonna admit that I was a huge Austin fan for the first half of this book before I decided I'd rather Nova be alone. And it's not because I hated Austin, but I felt like he really didn't care about Nova at all. I'm all for people chasing after their dreams, but I honestly didn't see how Austin could say he loved Nova so much when he rarely kept in touch with her because he was too busy trying to accomplish his own goals. Nova was always the one reaching out to him. Rarely was it the other way around.
What I did love about this book was how I saw dreams/goals get challenged/changed. I could totally relate to that confusing mess of trying to decide what it is that you want. Or the more difficult scenario - admitting that a goal has changed and it's okay to let go of the past dream for a new dream.
Which brings me back to the quote at the beginning of the book. Or the pre-beginning?? You can tell I don't know what to call it. Anyway, it's true that sometimes you just gotta keep trekking down the road you're on until you know what you want. And I'm just glad that this book is one of those books where the characters end up finding that happy place and it's not one of those depressing ones that makes you feel like all your hopes and dreams are impossible.
Thank goodness Delia Delaney likes to provide positive endings for her books.
