Strong's dictionary of Biblical Hebrew and Biblical Aramaic, like his concordance and dictionary of Biblical Greek, is a classic reference work for biblical studies and is accessible to the layperson. Each word in Biblical Hebrew and Biblical Aramaic is numbered, presented in Hebrew script and in transliteration and is accompanied by a pronunciation guide. Each word is defined, and the translation(s) of that word in the Authorized English Version are presented. Strong's work was originally published in 1890 under the title A Concise Dictionary of the Words in the Hebrew Bible; with their Renderings in the Authorized English Version. It was bound together with Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible.

Excellent ebook reference

I use this book for Biblical Hebrew references and in my opinion it’s an essential part of studying scripture. I hope that you enjoy it!

Being a reference book, you don't just read it once then never read it again or read it years later like you do with a novel. With these types of reference books, you return to them when you need to look up a word, and you continually 'study' them.

I'm about half-way through, and this book is amazing - you'd be amazed how many Greek, Russian, and Hebrew dictionaries DON'T have transliteration. I was initially surprised how thin it is - until I realised it's A4 sized, not A5, and fits quite a few words on each page. It was also quite affordable - in Australia, I paid just over $15 for it, but I would have gladly paid $30 or even $45 due to how useful it's been.

Can't recommend this dictionary enough!

This along with the companion Strong's Greek Dictionary of the Bible, is not a book one sits and read through. It is a reference book, a dictionary and a very useful tool when studying the Bible. So I have not "finished" it, but I do use it continually.

Hebrew is read from right to left

Hebrew is read from right to left but the who published this wrote everything from left to right. Do not purchase this if you are looking to learn Hebrew.
