It begins as a case of mistaken identity. Brenda is escaping into the mountains of Montana for a week of relaxation. Instead, she finds herself naked and pressed against a hard, aroused man, intent on a weekend of sexual domination. When the real submissive walks in on them, he realizes the mistake made at the front desk and is horrified, willing to do whatever he can to make things right. Brenda is intrigued. When she asks him to take her on as a substitute, he is blindsided! Can a weekend that satisfies their deepest desires, both sexually and emotionally, turn into more? Blindsided

After reading Ann Ruby's Covert Passion I couldn't wait to read another book by Ruby and I wasn't disappointed with Blindsided.
Just like Covert Passion Blindsided sucked me in right from the start. I ended up reading the whole book within a few hours.
I loved Brenda and Maxwell. I found it a nice change of pace that these two were a little bit older then your normal Erotica.
If you are looking for a great book I highly recommend Blindsided.

Reawakening

For Brenda Rockwell, the few days vacationing in the wilds of Montana would be a well earned respite. Caring for her three children, and her husband after his devastating accident until his death, Brenda is exhausted, worn out from being caregiver, a nurturer; she’s finally ready to reclaim herself. What she didn’t expect, was to find the once sensual woman inside her, to be reawakened in the expert hands of Maxwell Turner.

For Maxwell Turner, it was all about taking back control he lost during life-changing events he’d survived. For the weekend at his family’s resort, he would claim some back. His cousin, Jamie, arranges a submissive for Maxwell’s visit, but a mix up of cabin assignments crosses the paths of these two strangers, and Brenda ends up in Max’s cabin. A mistaken identity ends up with her gagged and tied to the his bed in the dark, while he’s taking control. Something reawakens in Brenda and she can’t deny the excitement of how Maxwell controls the situation, the thrill of how he dominates her. Maxwell realizes the mistake, and explains the confusion. Brenda meets him the next morning, and offeres to be his substitute submissive for the weekend. She realizes that by giving up control to Maxwell she can find herself once again. But the weekend isn’t enough for this budding relationship. Brenda has never known such a dominant man like Maxwell, and what happens next in the following months is a thrilling and emotional experience for her.

Blindsided penned by Ms. Ruby is a story of an erotic journey of reawakening. I thoroughly enjoyed how both Brenda and Maxwell found their needs met by each other. Maxwell’s need for control helped Brenda’s release in a cathartic way, and Maxwell found a willing, trusting partner. The characters are very likable, the writing is well paced, and the numerous sexual scenes are steamy and imaginative.

Heart-Pounding Roller Coaster Thrill Ride!
Wow! From the moment it started to the moment it ended, I was taken by this story - I finished it in a few hours. Maxwell drained me, well, then again, so did Brenda. But I loved the toss-up, the -in-the-air feeling of being bereft and not knowing what the deal would be with these two.
I loved finding out and the end satisfied me.
I absolutely loved it!
