With hefty bounties on Vince, Sarah and Will’s heads the team has to be creative in finding a way to do their job as well as stay one step ahead of the powerful man who wants them dead. The way they choose is creative but it is also deceptive, inconvenient and very dangerous. A new guy who isn’t at all what he seems must be brought into the fold.
What happens when people start Stealing Liberties is likely to turn everyone’s life upside down.
Lisa Woodward (formerly Pietsch) is an Air Force Veteran, a mom to two really cool young men, a Social Media Marketing Manager, and a multi published Author.
Lisa speaks French, Spanish, Norwegian and Russian. She has traveled the world as a U.N. Peacekeeper, was trained as a Hostage Negotiator by the FBI, and worked with MI-5 on personal security details. You'll find many of these interests and experiences in the Task Force 125 series, stories of espionage and paramilitary operations centered around the character of Sarah Stevens who is recruited into the CIA's Special Activities Division.
In 2023, Lisa remarried the man who inspired her Task Force 125 series and embarked on her biggest adventure yet. Look for more TF125 books coming in 2024.
This one starts off where the last book let off. With Vince rescued from his recent kidnap ordeal in the Middle East it looks like he and Sara will be able to settle down and finally find that white picket fence with a dog and a couple of kids playing in the yard but don't break out the milk and cookies just yet. Things go off in a whole lot of different directions and this is Task Force and Lisa Pietsch after all so you can bet there'll be lots of furs and high fashion, high tech toys and the obligatory hot guys with guns. A fun read. Can't wait for the next one.
I have to disagree with the reviewer who did not like this book. Not only did it continue the story it gave a plausible ending to Sarah and Vince and left with us knowing there is more to come.
this book was not up to parr of the first three books in this series. it felt like it was written by someone else. very disjointed. first three books i loved finally being able to read about a strong woman. i kept wanting to find out what next Sarah, Vince and the boys were going to do next. however this book just kept me thinking what could Ms Pietsch have been thinking when she wrote this. it felt more like, she had a four book deal and couldn't decide how to end the action so she just faked it.
Enjoyed this series and wanted more. Of course the way it ended.... You never know. Lots of action ,suspense and romance keeps you intrigued by what may happen next.
Good book in general great story !ine. The characters were impressive and the plot closed very well as you become very involved and it seems that you are there tense and suspenful as well as sweet and romantic and dangerous . Well worth reading.
So here it goes…. If I didn’t know there was a fifth book I would’ve rated this one a 2 or 3. But since we will have a fifth book I’ll Leave it at a 4. There’s a bunch of thing I have problems with (but I still liked it):
I really enjoyed books 1-3. Book 4 which is the final book in the series, I hated. I felt that book 4 was almost written by a different author because the story was so inconsistent with books 1-3. I was riveted reading books 1-3. I stayed up until 5am reading the books last night, then slept for two hours, and woke up to finish reading the series. I am an avid reader, and read hundreds of books a year. If a book does not captivate me, I find myself skimming through some of the boring parts. I read every single word in books 1-3. In book 4 I found myself skimming through some of the scenes because I was so upset at how the saga was evolving. I was very prepared to give these books 5 stars after reading the first three books. If you are into traditional happy endings, this book is not for you. These books have the same main characters from books 1-4. The love story continues from each book, until the final book where the love story that Pietsch worked so hard to establish in the first three books disappears in a few pages. The main love story is replaced with two other sorta love stories that bothered me very much. The love story in book four was simply not consistent with books 1-3. I am so upset with this series because I wanted to love it, and then the final book has turned me off from this author for good. For an amateur, Pietsch did a fantastic job in how she wrote the books. The only hang up I have is that the last book was HORRIBLE! I don't think anyone can read books 1-3 without reading the 4th book, so if you are not ok with a really inconsistent and bad ending, don't bother reading books 1-3 because you will only walk away feeling disappointed.
I'm torn on what to rate this book and it all hinges on wether it's the final book or not, the author replied to a previous review saying it wasn't the last book but there's no info on further books in the series on her website (at least none that I could find, unless I'm just not looking in the right place). Also she talks about a spin-off book in an interview published May 14, 2014 but if the original series isn't finished yet won't a spin-off series just make it harder to follow the plotlines of 2 series involving the same characters simultaneously? If this is in fact the final book in the series then I'm seriously disappointed because I feel like there's so much missing to properly end it, if it turns out this is not the final book then I will definitely change my rating because I enjoyed the book, I just feel like the ending was abrupt and the story is unfinished.
Yet another AMAZING novel! The constant back and forth between Vince and Sarah was a little confusing, but nice to know how each were doing. I was actually really sad that their relationship didn't work out. I kept hoping something would happen and they would get back together, but the introduction of Sveta and Jay kind of killed that one. I did like the chemistry of Sarah and Jay... I mean who doesn't love a British accent?! I was glad to see Vince happy, and that the group could function without him. I loved the introduction of Rig! He was very interesting even though he was a jack a$$. I can't wait for the next installment. I want to know how Sarah's undercover goes, and if they ever catch and kill Nicoli!! Yet another novel I couldn't put down until I finished.
A delightful tale of more adventures with Task Force 125. We are dealing on two fronts, following Sara and Vince. But they are both doing business in7mother Russia!
