In the fifth part of Nordic Fairies, Svala panics over Trym’s disappearance and asks Viggo to help her find him. Meanwhile, her jealousy toward Amanda brings forward an unexpected reaction. Viggo still refuses to tell her what’s going on, and Svala tries to remember exactly what happened during World War II. Could Viggo’s disappearance be connected to Trym’s?
Viggo has his reasons for not telling her, but he’s not sure he trusts them anymore, and his distrust grows stronger with the reappearance of his old tormentor, Loke.

This book was wonderful, written well, and left me with so many different feelings. One minute, you're relating to Svala when caught in a private moment. The next, you're feeling her anger, and boy, does this girl ever have lots of anger bottled-up inside. I absolutely love Svala and Viggo, but especially Svala. I think I relate more to Svala simply because I am female, and would probably feel the same as she does about most things. I just hate how much and how often the couple is kept apart. And, it also bothers me that Viggo is keeping some secret from Svala about what happened to him during the war. In this one, I found out that Freja and Emma are Svala and Viggo's daughter and grandaughter. Emma doesn't seem to like Svala at all, and is causing trouble. That causes Freja to seek help from her father, Viggo, in the matter. But, Emma's father is one of the darkness fairies, and is bad news. He tries to buy Svala into coming to his place to talk about it. Sadly, contrary to what Viggo keeps telling her, Svala does agree. But, Jen catches the couple talking about it beforehand. What a place to end a novella, Sara! What will happen next? I am curious. ------------------ If I remember correctly, I won this one from a contest held by the author. Thank you. I hope you like the review.
Missing searches out the mystery by Trym, Svalla's guardian's disappearance. Meanwhile the dark fairies seem to be gaining the upper hand and the mysterious father of Svalla and Viggo's grandchild is revealed. More of Viggo's alliance with the dark fairy, Amanda is brought to light, though it doesn't make me want to smack her any less. And Emma, Freja's daughter, is revealed to have a few more layers other than vindictive evil spawn this go around. At the heart of it all is Viggo's insurmountable love for Svalla. No matter the obstacles, no matter the doubt in her heart concerning her eternal love, Svalla knows Viggo's love for her is true. Their relationship was what first drew me to their story and compels me to keep reading this fantastic novella series.
I surprised myself with this book, because I was not lost at all. With a couple of the past books in his series, I found myself getting confused very easily. This time not at all. I don't know what was different about this one, but I was very pleased I followed every single part. It did jump back and fourth as usual in this series but it flowed so nicely in this book.
