Dr. Katrina Morris has fought all her life to be taken seriously. As a child prodigy, she became the youngest to ever attend medical school. Frustrated with her stagnant career, she jumps at the chance to travel to a new and strange world. However, even when she travels thousands of light years away, she still finds herself struggling to be taken seriously on this new world. One man stands in her way professionally, and it’s a man she can’t help but want on a personal level. To make matters worse, she is torn between her feelings for two men. Will she be able to prove her skills as a doctor and a scientist? Will her romantic feelings get in the way? Will she give herself over to the needs burning within her? Who will she choose?

Prime Medic SydEL has taken over the research on the viral mutation that has prevented the Katieran people from being able to successfully breeed with one another. He is distracted by his feelings for the human female who is also a medic. She is continually asking questions, getting in his way, turning his emotions inside out. Urges arise that he had assumed he was intellectually above. Worse, the female is wanted by another male, which causes his mating urges to increase. Will he keep his mind free to complete his research? Will he give in to the cravings he has for one small female? Will he lose the female to a rival?

One thing that I don't like: one of the main characters "with" someone else. ick. But, it didn't turn me off that badly here. Perhaps because it's the h, and she hadn't met the H by then. Still, and all, one star off for that.

Other than that, pretty decent alien-eroticaromance.

Something I do appreciate about the author is that she doesn't cut and paste scenes/dialogues across books (when she does, it's minimal). The crossover scenes from other books show up, but they're not the meat of the current story. So, kudos to her for that.

Throughout the story from the moment it started I wanted to take the H, throttle him and scream in his face..."she's a better frakking healer than you are because she didn't have all your cool toys to do her work for her, she worked for it far harder than you did because she was not born with a penis, she deserves to be treated with respect not patted on the head, jerked around and made to jump, roll over and beg like a dog just to do what she showed she could do from the moment she met you... YOU MORON!"
Needless to say I did not enjoy this story and I have no idea where Kat's backbone went about halfway through the story... it just disintegrated, no matter how really derogatory Syd treated her, she just accepted it. UGH

Good story but I still have a huge issue with cover art

This is a pretty good story . The books need to be read in sequence so the reader understands what's going on . Good alien love story , characters are pretty well written . The books needed to be edited more - there are many syntax and grammatical errors. I also have a huge issue with the cover art – the main characters have short blond hair on the woman and waist length dark hair on the man … That's not who you see in the cover art .

Prime Medic

I was disappointed that the Prime Medic Syd was such a misogynistic jerk! Kat, Dr. Morrison, is a brilliant Doctor from Earth who is extremely competent especially with pregnancies and yet is not considered as such. She proves herself time and again and basically saves the life of the Prima's second twin. The romance between Kat and the Prime Medic is incredibly rocky!

They keep getting better

I enjoyed this book. I was happy to see fewer typos, and it was very well written. Happily ever after, with an invitation to more.

Another Great Book By A Brilliant Author!

In Prime Medic we get to know more about Katrina "Kat" Morris, a human doctor relocating to the Katieran Galaxy to help with the re-population after an alien virus unleashed by a race called the Morins makes the inhabitants of Katieran and Kiljorn unable to breed young. Finding a cure for the virus to help his people is the single minded focus of SydEL the Prime Medic of Katieran. When he meets Kat he is consumed with her. He finds her in his thoughts all the time, he starts to invent reasons to get her riled just so he can watch her fight the urge to set him in his place. He treats her as a minion to his medics instead of the highly qualified Surgeon she is...little realizing she is his intended mate.

While some of the previous reviewers have stated that it gets repetitive with over lapping time parallels. It was wrote to be stand alone as well as intertwined with the other books in the series. And it is only the first three books that the overlap is the most noticeable.

With all that being said I would like to point out that Ms. Jones has still created a beautiful world that is every thing that Earth could be. And her story points out the foibles of man kind in our obsession with more...more technology, more resources used, more waste, pollution, and over population. Her Utopian world is a place we should strive to have here.

Her characters are strong when needed and still have the vulnerability that we all have, but try to hide from others. And her story line covers many current trends in our culture today. I for one love this series and had no trouble following her story line even with the horrendous editing job given to Ms. Jones by her publishers. And hope to see the day when Ms. Jones can re-release this series with proper editing. 4.75 Stars for strong story and characters.

This is another good story in the katierna prime sries. This particular character, Katrina is having to struggle with here worth here like she did on Earth. Because she is a female she is having to prove herself so she can make a difference. it is interesting how this series is written. Each book is seperate while the entire story is taking place at the same time. SO each book is from the perspective of that character, but because of this there is a lot of overlapping of story. Every story begin with the female arriving on Kateria. Every story we are seeing how they are interacting but from that persons point of view. I like it, but it is different. it can be a little boring because you already know the story , so I ended up doing alot of skimming, but I couldn't do too much because i was afraid I would miss an important detail not mentioned.

When she gets there she actual becomes involved with another medic there and they have a friends with benefits relationship, but she's torn because she really values his friendship and doesn't want to mess it up by having a relationship. Then she meets Prime Medic SydEL to help work on the virus that has prevented the Katieran people from being able to successfully breeed with one another. There is an immediate attraction . He begins to think that she is his mate . They struggle to find out about themselves and work on thee developing relationship. This is a good series so far I like it.

I liked how we got to experience the difference between a bound mating and a normal bond. Also, the arrival of a third planet with slightly different Katerian was quite interesting.
As for Kat and Syd, I think this is the couple who took the longest to get together. The wait and "courting" if you can call it so was fun but a bit annoying at times as Syd refused to acknowledge Kat's competences and place. It was very chauvinist and getting on my nerves. Kat is a strong and competent doctor, stubborn but fair and compassionate who only wants to help people. I sometimes felt that Syd did not deserve her at all. But still he had his good moments and despite being a stubborn fool, he was also attaching.

The issues with the second book of the series (mentioned in my previous review) aren't an issue here. The tense issues and other things seem to be fixed. I believe it's because this book, as noted in the beginning was edited by "Invisible Edits," whereas the second book wasn't. I don't think it was edited at all, to be honestly and you can see the major difference between book two and this one. Because of that, I enjoyed book three better.

That being said, I enjoyed the story and addition to the series and plan to read the next one.

It seemed like there was a lot of rehash of the previous books, since this one is roughly concurrent with books 1 and 2. I might be incorrect in that since it has been a while since I read the first two, but I had a deja vu feeling, especially in the beginning of the book.

There were a few typos, but not many.

It's a likeable story, with a H and h that weren't the best with interpersonal relationships (at the very least).

The writing style was pretty choppy, especially in the conversations, but I think that this author can improve on that in the future.

This series started out great for me, however having to read the same story over and over is annoying. 20-25% of each story (except the first) explains everything in that happened before, where she tries to be succinct about I found that it took away from the story and found myself skimming. Also the stories have followed to same cookie cutter pattern. (I've read 1-4). I'm gonna skip ahead to the one I actually want to read and get it over with.

Umm yeah that just happened.

Ok this shouldn't have been a full book in my opinion it should have been a novella. I mean seriously we got the do tour's POV on the previous stories. I wanted more and I wanted to see them as a couple instead of what w e already knew. I mean it would have been a given she would need to prove herself and learn. We saw it in the previous stories that they didn't really take her seriously. I was a little disappointing.

This is the third book in the series. I like the Books so far although I am noticing some spelling/grammatical mistakes.

Also, the story is written on a concurrent timeline and it feels like the beginnings of each book are becoming a little repetitious. I'll read the next one but I'm hoping it will start from a different point than the previous three.

Fast read

The story flies by in this book. We revisit the brothers and the human women that caught their attention in the first book. Syd is very annoying which is how this book lost a star. He is just set in his beliefs and he does not make realistic adjustments.
