I'm giving up on this series. First of all, it gets tiring and feels like the story repeats itself, with some new characters trying to get the interest back on track, but with not much hope. I maybe try this one again in the future, but for now, I should just pick up on those mangas which I have qued for too long. Sorry dark prince, though you are cute (especially when Kento plays you in the movie ^ ^) I just can't see the point of this story.
So it's not a surprise that I've been finding this series quite annoying for quite a while..... It's no surprise that I do not like the way Kyouya treats Erika and how Erika continues to allow Kyouya to treat her like some dog. In fact I did say that if I saw no changes from the previous volumes I probably might drop this series already.
However, I am extremely happy to report that this volume made up for all the frustrations I've been having throughout this series. I found the four chapters in this volume to be quite cute and charming, and honestly it made me glad to see Kyouya start to change (even though it's just a little) for the sake of Erika. I could only hope that the succeeding chapters would be just as charming as this one. Although plus points if we could see more character development from the characters in this series. :)

I love this series it's quickly growing on me as the relationship between Erika and Sata grows. They still have a ton of issues but they are figuring it out slowly. I love that the relationship is growing and we are seeing more from Sata to make Erika happy. This is a sweet romance and I'm enjoying every moment of it. I can't wait for the next one to arrive.
This story is slowly becoming more fun to see unfold. Why you might ask? Well it starts with the two main characters fake dating and then now its might becoming a love tringle that has the most fluff and angst with some funny moments.
I think I said this last time, but this volume is definitely my favorite so far! Sata is so freaking cute and confident in a new way, and I'm absolutely loving their story.
Woah! That part when Kyouya and San-chan accidentally kissed. Erika lost her marbles. XD hahaha! *sigh* i wonder what's it like to be kissed. Lol anyway, onto to the following chapters. XD
Since reading volume 4 of this series, I’ve now read almost all of Ima Koi, the author/artist’s later series. Though I like seeing Erika and Kyoya’s progressing relationship, I can’t help but compare them to Satomi and Yagyu, who are sweet and honest with one another about their feelings. Kyoya obviously cares about Erika - he wouldn’t push back against Kamiya trying to turn him into a womanizer again if he didn’t, and he’s upfront that he’s found someone who makes him happy and doesn’t need a harem of other girls following him around. But Kyoya also still struggles with expressing how he feels to Erika, and she in turn seems to want to push him past his comfort zone, like asking him to tell her he loves her as a birthday present. Why would you want a coerced confession? And then there’s the word accidental kiss between Kyoya and Sata - was that really necessary? At least it caused Erika and Kyoya to actual talk about her reaction and their feelings. I enjoy seeing them be kind to one another, it’s just so stilted in comparison to Hattu’s later work. Which makes sense - she’s matured as an author and artist. What I would recommend is, if you want to read this series, do it before you read Ima Koi. 😅
I can't decide who I feel worse for sometimes. Erika is in some ways so innocent and yeah, sometimes, really stupid, that it's painful. On the other hand, Kyouya is as aloof and aggravating as ever. In his own way though, he is clearly trying and does care for her, just like her way is to go all out and try to do all the coupley things she can think of. Even though Kyouya clearly has a hard time dealing with emotions, he does his best to make Erika's birthday special. She does the same for Kyouya for his big day, except an accidental kiss between her boyfriend and best friend throws everything off course, not that either Kyouya or San-chan will let her stew for long, not when it's clear they both prefer when she's her usual more carefree self.

okay he is starting to piss me off. i like the whole cold demeanour thing but this is just rude. “oh but he really loves her!!!” idc he doesn’t act like it so it mind as well not be true. to treat someone you “love” that way is beyond me and what type of submissive manic pixie dream girl is erika for her to continue appeasing this boy. i feel like i havent witnessed her development as a character. she is essentially the same as the start of the book, we only really see kyoya evolve and his family backstory. “but he doesn’t know how to accept or display love because of his distorted view on relationships from his parents :(“ GIRL THEN GET HIM TO THERAPY!!!!! im so sick of having girls needing to fix everything in a man who can’t properly display his emotions and has borderline anger issues. he don’t need a gf he need a licensed psychologist. still 4/5 for entertainment tho.
-Kyoya can’t be swayed into being a manwhore by Kamiya. Instead, he inadvertently causes an epiphany for Kamiya which causes him to quit being a hoe and look for love. And now Kyoya has made another friend!!! Yay LOL
-Erika’s birthday comes along, she gets a cute haircut and Kyoya spends all night trying to say I love you because he’s dead inside (for now LOL)
-Then we celebrate Kyoya’s birthday by planning a surprise party but he ends up accidentally kissing San!!! Erika goes nuts and the solution is more kisses!!!
This series is hilarious and I love a grouchy man who’s trying to be better for his girl. Just give him some time!!!
Kamiya's desperate attempt to bring Kyoya over to "the fun side" is failing spectacularly, half because Kyoya actually likes Erika and half because Kyoya is a "I hate people" introvert. And while he has a point, it's still rude to call people trash, sir.
Then we move on to Erika's birthday and the struggle Kyoya has with expressing and understanding emotions. Then we move on to Kyoya's birthday and the struggle Erika has with feeling emotions too strongly. Gotta say, this series his a lot better now that Erika doesn't let Kyoya get away with abusive crap.
I've loved all of the volumes of this manga I've read so far, but this one was definitely my favorite. There was so much humor in this particular volume, as well as some really sweet and romantic parts. Kyoya is such a complex character with a mysterious past, and I love seeing his growth as the series continues.
