The waiter came over and sat their drinks in front of them. Reilly waited until he was gone before she looked at Rachel to ask her about the celebrating. She had a strange look on her face.

“What?” Reilly turned around and saw Mr. Hunter coming toward her. “Fuck. He just doesn’t give up, does he?”

“You know him? Well, that makes this easier.” Reilly had a strange feeling she wasn’t going to be celebrating like her agent thought she might.

“Reilly Harlequin, I’d like you to meet the man who’s just commissioned you to make a premier piece for his new lobby, Daniel Hunter.”

Daniel, the last single Hunter, is annoyed with his family for forcing women on him. He is a confirmed bachelor and likes it that way. He doesn’t want to be tied down to a woman, especially one with a kid.

O’Reilly Harlequin knows her days are numbered. Her sister, Meagen Harper, was involved with an evil man that no one crosses if they want to remain healthy. Meagen, on her deathbed, drags Reilly right in the middle of her chaos. Now Reilly finds herself the mother of a nephew she knew nothing about, and the two of them are on the run for their lives.

Daniel is intrigued with the famous, elusive potter. He wants what he wants, and he wants Reilly. But Reilly wants to stay as far away from the sexy lawyer as she can get. Daniel is a distraction that can get them all killed, but the danged man won’t leave her alone.

Passions, however, can’t be denied, and love creeps in at the most inopportune moments. A confession of love in the heat of passion has Daniel backing up. He loves her, too, but a commitment and a kid? He’s not so sure.

The past has caught up with Reilly and her nephew Benny. A fated moment she and the kid have been preparing for since they met―a moment Reilly doesn’t expect to live through.

Hot passion and danger await in the final installment of The Hunter Series, Daniel.

Reilly ! oh man she was awesome she was protective of her nephew(son) and he was also protective of her as well. They were a tough mother and son they were adorable badasses. Even tho Daniel was protective and what not he was still an asshole because he didn't want to marry her until he finally realized he wanted to keep her. Great story this one was my favorite of them all I think it was because of reilly and benny, but overall this story rocked.

Sad to see this is the last book of the series.

Daniel is the last brother standing all his other brother's are married
and having children , Daniel did not want to find love .. Reilly who was
raising her Nephew was kind of famous by making amazing vases and hiding from the world
until Daniel came along and stir up some trouble in her life .. I must say the beginning
of this story made me cry but you will understand why.. Of course there is mystery and adventure
through out the series .. I really hate to see this series come to end so I hope you enjoy it ..

If you've read the blurb, then you know 'Daniel' is the fourth and final book in Kathi S. Barton's "Hunter" series. To be honest, I knew from reading the three previous books Daniel was going to give his family and whomever Ms. Barton and Fate had lined up for him a run for their money. Ha!!! Daniel found way more than he bargained for and this was the most action-packed, physically heated book of the series. Mystery, adventure, mobs, FBI, explosive passion, and a child that will bring more surprises than anyone could imagine. This was a spellbinding and riveting book.

Daniel is the last of the Hunter brothers to find love. Kyie has been in love with him since she was ten years old and now, they are working together. This heartfelt story drew me in and had me in Daniel and Kylie's corner from start to finish.

With the last Hunter left on the market, he sure does know how to pick one that will give him a run for his money.

Reilly is a hermit. She is the famous O. Reilly who makes amazing vases and pottery, but everyone assumes she's an older man. This works well for Reilly because she has a secret that has to stay hidden or her very life could be on the line. But a meeting with the nosey Hunter's puts all her hard work at hiding in jeopardy.

Daniel Hunter is the last Hunter brother. He's avoiding all his family because of the constant match-ups. He has no desire to saddle himself with a wife and kids. Then he meets Reilly and knows that his carefully shielded heart and life plans are crumbling around him.

Out of all the Hunter stories Daniel wasn't a favorite of mine. It seemed no matter what he couldn't stop putting his foot in his mouth and Reilly just kept taking him back, or letting him kiss her to submission. After so many times of a man apologizing to me for treating me how he did her, I'd make him work to prove he wanted me in his life. Also the editing was really bad in this book.

O'Reilly Harlequin knew one day she would get a call from her sister and it would most likely be a goodbye, today was that day. Years later Reilly has become mother to her nephew, not that she really knows what she is doing, but she is focused on protecting him at all costs. She doesn't need any distractions, especially that of Daniel Hunter.

Daniel is proud to be a bachelor, long term commitments are for the birds. Even though he would love to reconsider, especially now that he has met Reilly, he knows it will never lead to more than a life as lovers. Reilly though has her son to think about and her heart, she knows if she allows Daniel to continue as her lover she will lose her heart in the process. Daniel has to decide if he is willing to let her go or maybe have a change of heart.

This was a fun one, I don't recall Daniel being so put off by relationships though. Reilly is protective of her nephew and I thought the whole dynamic between her and Daniel was seductive, but she always has her nephews interest at heart. Definitely worth reading.

The last in the series and I can honestly say this was my favorite. There was so much drama, danger and excitement that you couldn't help but get caught up in the storyline. Daniel was so adamant that he was not getting married that he almost missed the best thing that could have happened to him. Reilly was a complex character, she had so much mystery surrounding her that with every new revelations I was in awe of her. Benny was awesome, he had such a sad beginning and it was so hard for him to trust. Lots of twists in this storyline that are sure to make you go " NO WAY" and shake your head. The story was well written, easily catches your attention and keeps it to the end. The characters were great and it flowed along without any bumps. I enjoyed this story immensely and am sad there were only 4 in this series. Maybe we can get a Christmas book down the road to see how they are getting along. :) hint hint.
I was given an ARC for an honest review.

Daniel Hunter just doesn't disappoint or let the reader down as the last of the "Mohicans" Hunter man to fall in......egads - love. He sure as heck fights it longer than his brothers all did. He goes about it completely and utterly wrong because he doesn't want to admit it to himself. Rielly is an awesome character. She has character and strength far above what Daniel has, because she loves. It takes everyone in the family pushing him and her together, but, I think that one little boy brings it all home. The undercurrent story involving hit men, sadistic mob heads and the FBI to bring the story all together and, as usual, Kathi Barton does just that. I can't wait to see what she does with Benny because I can see a bright, exciting future for that boy and I think he needs his own story! Hint, Hint!!

I was given a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

This was an awesome read, I loved every word of it. The Hunter series is one of my all time favorite series by Kathi S. Barton.

This book did not let me down, from the get go, it moved along at an excellent pace, had characters that you fall in love with and want to see succeed at no matter what the cost. The story kept me entertained from beginning to end and when I got to the end I wanted more, needed more.

Kathi S. Barton is an amazing writer who writes awesome books that everyone should take a chance on reading. I would recommend her books to any of my friends in need of an awesome read.

Loved it.

Daniel Hunter is the only brother left single. His family has turned into matchmakers - he has no intentions of ever getting married - that is until a little boy called Benny and his "mom" Reilly come into his life along with the mob and FBI. This story is full of secrets - mystery - murder and love - you will be on the edge of your seat waiting to find out what happens next.

Kathi S. Barton has done it again with another great story that will leave you wanting more. Am sorry to see the end of this series. Thank you Kathi for a great book.

As always I enjoy Kathi Barton. This book however felt a bit flat. I think I will re read it after a while just to see if I missed something the first time around. I think that perhaps her character Daniel was not the usual alpha male type as her other lead men are. I will get back to you on this one....

Loved the story, but Daniel's fall didn't connect with me. It was too easy though he seems to fight it. His decisions all seemed like a light switch, off then suddenly on. Great series all around though! Wish there were more brothers.

So much potential to be really good, ruined by the lack of a good editor.
