The concept is good but the execution poor. The characters blended too much for the plot to be as coherent as it should have been. It was just overly confusing.

I think it was also too short. This should have been a much longer book with a bit more character development. Still- a fascinating concept which is why I managed to muddle through it.

I remember as a child being told about the "subconscious mind" and how it "solves problems for us". At the time, I imagined it like a real, extra mind, stuck in the back of your head doing all the work for you. This story is the result of that childhood idea.
