The Purple Note is a story that mostly the lead up to two sex scenes. The danger of going to an unknown sex club adds to the suspense not only for Amanda the main character but also for the reader. It ended up being a little short and even after the sexy Mr. James left her, the reader didn't know if she would be delivered home safely, which added to the mystery.
