really lost interest later on

the mabinogion is a collection of welsh medieval stories, written down out of the oral tradition. there is a lot of arthurian legend involved. there are giants, and witches, and talking animals, and knights and impossible feats. this is translated from the welsh. it's nice to get things - especially the arthurian tales - with a welsh flavor to them.

my favorite lines:

"god knows," said owain, "she is the woman I love best."
"god knows," said the maiden, "there is no way she loves you, not in the very slightest."

i only read what was assigned for class but that was MOST of it :3
