I don't generally like paranormal romances, but oh, how I love those alpha males - and what's more alpha male than a werewolf? Lisa Renee Jones certainly knows how to write books featuring powerful, dominant men...but she manages to show enough of their vulnerable sides to make them lovable. I've fallen a bit in love with all her heroes, and these are no exceptions. Even though these books are short, they all still have a great story, hot sex, and a couple of action scenes as well. Plus, you get to see some of the same characters from book to book, which was nice (even if it's just for a few pages). If you love romantic werewolves, then you should definitely read these books!

If I had to describe The Werewolf Society #1-3 with only one word it would be "convenient".
The problems the main characters had to face were easily and fastly solved in the most convenient manner.
The twists were convenient.
The sex was... convenient.
As it is, scratch the whole problems part, because there weren't really problems, because the women were fast (and in my opinion, weak) to give into these guys, they bitched a bit but got over it as soon as they could.
I mean, I know that if you deal with werewolves you deal with dominant men who get their way, but why do they always have to be paired with women that initially come across as strong, independent, sassy only to reveal themselves the perfect trophy wives to werwolves aka submissive girls who will always eventually give into because , oh!, he has a twelve pack and packs a twelve (*snorts*) and is the most deliciously hot, tongue-talented guy to have ever walked on earth!?

So, long story short.
Why only 2 stars?
Now my favourite word comes into play: cliché. That's what these stories were to me. They were nothing special, a pleasing reading experience for a moment when you're not feeling like commiting to a full blown novel.
Same old same old. Werewolf meets girl, knows she's his mate, pursues her, she resists because...there's actually no real reason. He gets her, he leaves her because he needs to "protect" her thus fucking everything up. Wants her back, she resists because that's what you do when a guy ups and leaves yoy and then comes back, he eventually (sooner rather than later) gets her. And they lived happily ever after.
Mix it up, stir it around, add some new flavour to it if you want: same story different characters. *yaaaawn*
And long story short became long story longer.

The Werewolf Society Box Set!
I have had this box set for such a long time I just never read it but after quitting a book and going through my kindle knowing I wanted a good vampire, werewolf story I spotted this so I decided to finally read them..
Jumping straight into the book was weird, hard but fixating. First chapter seems little all over the place I didn’t know who was who but I think that maybe because I can read fast..
Straight away I could fell the tension passion and desire within this story and I was hoping this continues...
Aliya is a strong independent women who just has week spot for Nico. Who needs to be wearing a necklace when her birthday approaches other wise he won’t live.
Nick is your typical alpha male werewolf, strong demanding and determined to get what he wants.
34% into to box set and book one finishes I wish I new how many pages it was now (don’t know how to change it) as it really didn’t take long to read maybe hour or two most. One thing that kinda threw me is I am still little mixed up who is who because everything happens so fast. No sooner as an issue is brought up it’s over there is nothing there. It’s like kids arguing over what’s for dinner and the parent stepping in and telling them what’s going to be cooked... it’s just all over with before it’s fully began.
Book two is about Sarah and Kole..
Book two is same as book one when it comes to pushing through the trouble, everything is dealt with so quickly like there arguing over toys.. these books could have been so much more but it’s all rushed.
Book three is shi and Carmen
Book three and I am bored the story is so repetitive but just using different people
Don’t get me wrong these are good short reads but they are literally identical story line each one and that bores me.
I will say this boxset had so many spelling mistake it was shocking. One guy is called Shi (book three) and they wrote his name as shit like seriously these mistakes take away so much from the book because your hAving to correct it in your own head. I literally got bored of the books just couldn’t keep my attention in the end

This was a good set of short stories, good stories though do think they would have been better if they were longer.

A great book, every page kept getting better. Nico is the alpha and is possessive and sexy, along with oozing dominance. Aylia is a witch, who is powerful but will die if she doesn't have her necklace back by her birthday. A necklace that Nick has taken as others will kill Aylia to get the magic in it. Once these two come together, their chemistry explodes. A great story, cannot wait to continue in the series.

I loved this book more than the first book. This story is about Kole and Sarah who met but seperated after the murder of Sarah's family. Sarah goes to kill the ones responsible and Kole tries to save her. I loved this story and definitely would recommend this story.

Okay, so first things first. I really enjoyed this book and the alphas are hot but I'll admit to being confused as I felt that I had wandered into the story halfway through. My bad! I realised after that The Werewolf Society actually follows on from The Vampire Wardens and were not two different series as I originally thought. Dagnabbit!!
These stories are short, sweet and hot. There is sex and lots of it. I do wish though that they had been made into 'full length' books as I feel the characters were all so interesting that they could have been developed much further.
So, whilst missing the whole first series, I still read this one and really liked it. I will be getting The Vampire Wardens so I can fill in the gaps and will be looking for more from this author.

I love short stories that has a whole complete story instead of a bunch words thrown onto paper that leaves you scratching your head. With this set of short stories you have the who, what, when, and where answered while keeping you on the edge of your seat.
In these stories we have hot alpha males paired with strong women. Each couple face their own problems while developing their relationships. What is great about these stories is there is not a lot of 'fluff' that makes you want to skip pages instead I was gripping my ereader dying to know what happens next.
I can't wait to read more books by this author.

I loved this box set!! The stories of Nico and Aylia, Kole and Sarah, and Shi and Carmen were great! More than I expected. After reading Lisa's Purple Magic and getting a bit hooked on how hot and wild things can get between the supernatural, Lisa surprised me even more. I can't wait until the new releases in both the Vampire Wardens series and the Werewolf Society series. If you like a little steam, these books are for you. If you like some action, deceit, and lies, these books are for you. If you're a fan of vampires, werewolves, and a little bit of magic, then you must read these series. You will not be disappointed!

OMG the typos.........if typos bug you stay far far away from these books. typos are rampant.
My biggest issue was story development. I know they're short stories, but it read like Jones realized 95% of the way through the story that she had 5 pages left and conveniently wraps up each story in 5 pages. the ends of each story were awful!

Before reading this you should start with her Vampire series, as they two are tied together.
A fun short read. If you are looking for something to read and don't have a lot of time then this is a good series to choose. Each book is relatively short, fun and you can read them in the span of a few hours. Makes for a great read if you are traveling, have a lay over, etc.

I liked this series alot It was just to short for each book that I couldn't really put most of what I thought into play when I was just getting into the books the books would just end and I would be like oh okay I guess that was a good ending! But I really did like everything that happened in the series with all the characters and everything is was a great series!

Werewolf Amazing!
I haven't read Lisa's vampire series that comes prior to these 3 books, so it took me a bit to get invested in the story and the characters. But when I did I enjoyed the series very much. She creates solid characters with lots of action and heat. Will have to check out more by her.

Didn't think I was going to like this book after the first chapter but I'm so glad I didn't give up, I was soon hooked and read through the three books in a couple of days! It's gripping, saucy and and unlike any werewolf/vampire/witch story I've read! Very much looking forward to reading the next in the series.

This book is amazing. I was hooked from the first page. This book is very well written and the characters are very well developed. I couldn't help but feel very connected to the characters. I can't believe that I waited as long as I did to read this story. I can't wait to read more books by Lisa Renee Jones.

good stories but only 3 stars so all the grammatical errors that I kept running into. It kills the flow and a bit of the enjoyment of the books to have to go back interpret what was actually trying to be said.

Not bad for a set of quick reads. I like the bad ass alpha males. And the women who put them in their place. There are witches werewolves and some crazy magic. All in all it's a good story and it continues.

There is absolutely no filler in these reads. As a matter of fact, if you skip a sentence you might skip a key part of the plot. It was a quick read with a good amount of adventure and sex.

It was very interesting and fun to read, it haved a lot of drama and fun parts, very sexy parts too.

I bought it on kobo and the formatting was terrible. Every. Single. Sentence. Was a separate page. Impossible to read and I ultimately gave up.
