To be completely honest, I dislike talking, let alone writing about myself, but here it goes what you need to know about me. I am a mom, a wife, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, a friend, an avid reader, an occasional author, basically like every other woman on the planet I have a lot of titles and very little time. My husband and I were friends when one night I kissed him and he ran away, we have one child, a son, who our world revolves around. The idea of writing was first stirred by my seventh grade English teacher, Mrs. Williams. It’s a tossup what I loved more, the poetry section or the Norse mythology. What I do know is I began writing and never stopped.

I worked in the tech industry for years, until my pregnancy made working difficult, I was a stay at home mom after that. A job in which I relish. When my son was around three I got an idea, the idea blossomed, and before I knew it I had written my first full length novel. The idea of showing it to anyone was scary, so I stashed it away, held it close to my heart for a year before I became brave enough to share it. From there things just seemed to take a life of their own, and I became a self-published author.

I don’t write for accolades and awards, I write because it makes me happy. The idea of someone reading words I thought were important enough to chronicle affecting them, is surreal. My dream since the seventh grade was to write, what that meant at the time I didn’t have a clue. What I know now, is I want to make my family and friends proud. I want to show my son that striving to reach your dream is worth the struggle.

Freaking fantabulous awesome ........The author provided me an arc in exchange for an honest review. Well, I have this serious thing for rock star romances- seriously addicted to them. When I got the arc I was so....

To find a rock star book from a new author makes me happy but to find one like this gem was AMAZING! This is a book you HAVE to read, it's truly that good no wait it's fan-freaking-awesome-fantastic ... I don't think there are enough adjectives for me to express how AWESOME this book truly is so let me tell you about it!

Meet Devi- beautiful pixie extremely tattoo artist who is a strong, determined female character that you can help but love.......

Well this disinherited heiress makes a life for herself with the support of her loving brother Drake, Frends like Crispin, Cin, Mags, Jules, and Eli. Devi and Seth, the bassist for My Misery Muse, have a history together.....a very long history. Devi's known Seth since she was 12 years old and loved him since she was 16 years.

Devi always encouraged Seth to pursue his dreams of music. She knew he had the talent to "make it" and she wasn't about to hold me back and have the possiblity of him resent her if he didn't pursue his dreams and stayed with her in Dallas. So Devi did what she felt was the right thing- she let Seth go. She ended their relationship and encouraged him to go to LA with his band to pursue their recording dreams.

Sounds easy, um no not to me, but sounds like the right thing to do. Well sure, but isn't hindsight 20/20 and Devi would have NO idea that there was a reason, a big one, that she should've let Seth stay at least for a little while more......

Seth, what can I say, sexy bassist, tattooed and pierced - oh boy is he pierced. My husband wasn't keen on my request for certain piercings so I have to live vicarously through my book friends like Devi and fantasize about Seth.

Well Seth and the "BOYS" from My Misery Muse come back to Dallas to finish recording another album fresh from touring and having been gone for three years. Seth see's Devi and well the past, present & future come together and present new possiblities. There are secrets......

Complete misunderstandings created by others.........

Reunions, oh boy what a reunion...

This book brought out so many emotions for me. There were parts where I laughed and oh & ahhed. Seth & Devi love each other so much and wonder how they could make their relationship with the demands of Seth's career, the papparazzi as well as Devi's career and well there is also a BIG consideration the two of them have to consider.

I loved how the author expressed the feelings of each character. I was able to connect and I found that I was actually a part of their lives at times. I can't wait for the next book.. I loved how the author ended the book with a little foreshadowing and I've already come up with some theories of who might be involved with whom.

I NEVER give spoilers as I personally do not like them I want other's to experience the book just as I have. So put this one on your TBR,mark your calendars .... BUY IT THE MINTUE IT COMES OUT.. it's really that good!

Definitely no doubt about it 5+++++++ read - you want to laugh? cry? swoon? have a hot flash or two? and love ROCKSTARS????? Then this book is for you!!!!!

Looking forward to the release of this awesome book and future My Misery Muse sagas.

Story: GOOD
Intimacy Level: GOOD
Enjoyment: GREAT
Length: 3496 kindle
Style: Rock Band/ Mature Adult Romance
Series: My Misery Muse #1

I flipping heart this book. In the beginning, I was a bit worried, but it turned out to be very much enjoyable for me. Devi and Seth were teenage sweethearts, with Seth being the best friend of Devi's brother, Drake. Being together in their youth was the best time for both until Seth's music took off leaving the couple separated for years. Now Seth is back in town with his band and things becomes, exciting, complicated and interesting but back to complicated for both Seth and Devi.

Devi was not the typical main heroine for me, and that's what made me love her. She looks like a rocker chick and works as a tattoo artist, but yet down to earth and is a chick that has always been in love. Seth was just yummy. What the author described physically of him did not go unnoticed, especially in bed. I love where his tats and piercings were. With the history Seth and Devi shared, when they both came back together in each others life again, it wasn't easy. The first part of the story explains this as they both had to get through a few hurdles, a main one in particular. Once they both slowly started to come around, this book took off for me. I love them together and that ending gets a thumbs up.

As much as I loved Devi and Seth, I don't think this story would have been mostly exciting without the other characters. The band, family and friends made this read for me what it was. With the author's next book in the series, I hope it focuses on another character and not fully on Seth and Devi. There were so many characters but I really loved, so cute I want to squeeze his cheeks, Jaks, then Drake, X, Cin, Mag and Eli. I thought they were so messed up but I love there friendship. Sidebar: I felt bad for Cris *head shake*.

The only thing I will say for me personally, is when the author would sometimes go in to the different point of view moments, that started off a bit confusing but got use to it. But overall, a good read and look forward to the next book.

I hate it when I get all giddy to start a certain book because everything looks amazing and it's just my type of book (READ: ROCKSTARS! ), but it doesn't turn out that good like you expected it to be.

YEAH. That's exactly how I felt while reading this.

BEAUTIFUL COVER.
PERFECT TITLE.
MEDIOCRE PLOT.

Long story short, My Misery Muse is the name of the band of our rockstar/hero's name, Seth , who found out he has a lovechild with his HS sweetheart, Devi. He wants to be part of not only their son's life but also in her life as well, but to do that, his music career might be at risk. And, the drama starts from there.

That was pretty much all that happened, with the addition of all their problems, which I think are pretty much shallow and at times, repetitive. Like Devi always tells Seth to not make promises or stay close to their son if he might just leave in the end, which she keeps on repeating over and over again, and lots of misunderstandings (because Devi is kind of immature).

Also, I had a HARD time connecting with not only the characters, but the whole story as well.

Most of the time, I'm like this:

Waiting for something BIG to happen and it just didn't come.

The only thing I like about this book is the ending, Thank God, that was a decent one.

But, I still encourage you guys to read this because maybe it's just me? I mean, the reviews are good and everyone seems to like it, so I think you should give this one a try ;)

I received this book as an ARC. The release is set for January 2013. Thank you Brei Betzold for the opportunity to read it early!

Where do I begin?
After first reading the description of the book, I assumed it would be like any other rock star book (which i love). I thought it would be fast-paced, showing us how rock stars live in the lap of luxury. What i got was a very unique story that sucked me in from the beginning! Seth being the bassist in the band instead of the lead singer and Devi being a tattoo artist just made it that much more unique! It is a rock star romance but so much more! You get to see the struggles rock stars can and sometimes do face.
I fell in love with all of the characters! They each brought their own unique personalities to the story. Each trying to help Devi and Seth with some of the problems they were facing.

Seth! Gah! He had me from the beginning! I immediately fell for him! He is such a great guy. Always trying to do the right thing even if it always the right way.
I loved Devi's character too. Such a strong, independent woman. It was refreshing to see such a strong female lead. I think Devi and Seth's character complimented each other perfectly! Not only in looks but personalities too. They balanced each other.
So I guess long story short, this is a book I'm going to be recommending to everyone!! I couldn't stop thinking about it when I had to put it down! The only reason I did was because I have 3 small kids that need tending to :-). 5 really big stars!!
Brei Betzold, you have a fan for life! I look forward to see what you come up with in the future!!

I was fortunate to be given an ARC by Brei!

Going into My Misery Muse I knew our hero Seth was a rock star and I thought this was the usual life on the road w/a rock star romance so suffice it to say I LOVE that it focused on life at home and the real life struggle musicians are sometimes faced with having to choose between having a career or family.
Our heroine Devi is a bad ass tattoo artist covered in tatts herself, fiercely independent raising her 2 yr old son on her own and truly is a great mom but I did want to smack her at times for being so damn stubborn!

Our hero Seth is everything I could want in a man! He's 6'2 build like a brick sh*t house, tattooed and pierced in alllll the "right" places...
He's all kinds of manly goodness and the scenes with him and Jaks will make your heart melt like mine did!

Awesome characters aside Brei did a really great job with the writing because wether I was reading Devi's POV or Seth's (the POV alternates) I could feel the emotions of the characters I was reading. In the beginning there's a scene where Seth is watching Devi and Jaks play together crashing his toy cars and I could literally feel my heart break as Seth just sat by and watched until Jaks approached him and handed him a car so he could join in!
I realllllly realllly enjoyed this book, it was full of great characters and was an excellent story!

"I decided to add to the Prince Albert... What do you think of my Jacob's ladder?"

Piercing's, Tattoo's, Rocker's, Oh My! Yup, totally my kind of book :D

Dev and Seth are in love, like THE one-and-only kind of love, but they keep on doing what THEY think is right for each other without talking about it until it's too late. Seth, *sigh*, he's amazing even though he had his stupid male moments, he's totally sweet with Dev and Jaks, i'm a sucker for a bad boy who can be a big old cuddly teddy bear for his woman and kid.

Seth had to "...prove to her you can be a father to Jaks, a husband to her, and the bassist of My Misery Muse." Dev, I got where she was comin from, got knocked up young, daddy issues, and I respected her for the life she made, but what irked me was that she was so freakin stubborn. Luckily they have their awesome friends to help them see what kind of A$$ they are being and make it right ...

Book 2 is coming but luckily the story moves on to the friends, I'm not sure, but I think it's story.

This book has more issues than I have time because I don't even know where to start.....if you can imagine the issue then I'm sure this book has it!!!

I haven't been reading lately because I was getting tired of the same story line....the same outline that everyone seems to follow......the same blah blah blah....

I should have just stopped and been done with it but I had to keep punishing myself.....

It's like that song you hate...you keep listening even though you hate it....

Ok maybe I'm a masochist........but the bottom line is this book needs HELP!!

I like the idea of the story, the characters could of been likeable but it quite simply ALL FELL FLAT!

Ug! Ever heard of an editor? There were so many grammatical mistakes that I could hardly focus on the story. There were apostrophes where there shouldn't be and none where there should be. Comas were missing all over the place and for goodness sake, it's YOU'RE not YOUR.

It also felt like the entire book that the relationship story lines were glossed over to get to the sex.

Jaks was also a totally unbelievable character, a 2-year-old does not talk about his day without a ton of prompting.

I love the concept of the rock star who is still super down to earth and just wants to be with his teenage sweetheart, but I just wish it was written better.

This story was a solid 3.5 stars. I liked it but then I found myself way too emotionally invested which turned into frustration then disappointment and then I had to give myself a book time-out to breathe ! If you're not a fan of miscommunication and having a child you never knew about and then when you find out you can't acknowledge child because of media .... This book is not for you ! It has the required HEA but I'm still feeling like I missed something ! I wasn't floored by this book and I really wanted to be !!!!!!

Jenny: Okay first off I have to say I love the name of this band! It’s perfect. It makes me want to start up a band and steal the name!
So again Gitte, we took another plunge into a book without knowing what to expect and once again found story we both adored didn’t we? And we do love our Rock Star books don’t we?
Seth left Devi (well she forced him to leave) to pursue his dream of becoming a successful rock star as part of My Misery Muse. It was something he always wanted but seeing Devi again after three years causes him to question if that dream was really what he wanted. Devi has never forgotten Seth or stopped loving him, but she had no choice but to get on with life and do the best she could.

Gitte: Absolutely loved it Jenny! It’s no secret how much I love a fab Rock Star book. I love everything about them, the music, the staging, the excitement, the yumminess, and the inevitable angst. And yeah My Misery Muse kept me reading this story in one sitting. It wasn’t an overly complicated storyline; rather it was straight down the line and authentic making it very realistic and believable.

Jenny: Whilst the premise of the story isn’t original the way it was written and the characters we were introduced to certainly made it feel unique and I found myself totally absorbed by this book and couldn’t put it down. All the characters were so warm and relatable and each and every one of them added something to the story. I’m hoping to see Mags and Drakes story at some point. This underlying relationship also piqued my interest.

Gitte: I loved the story-line and thought it had a few unique aspects in the sense that it was about what happened before the fame of Rock Star’dom and a second chance at love and happiness. Seth and Devi were each other’s first love. However, when Seth and his band went to pursue their dream of a record deal Devi broke up with him to prevent her standing in his way. A few years later he returns only to find out he has a son, he never knew about, and Seth being the amazing man that he is wants his family back and this is where Seth and Devi’s journey begin.

Jenny: I really did love our Devi. Devi Porter is an up an coming tattoo artist, working in a Tattoo Parlour and doing her best to bring up her 2yo son on her own. She has never forgotten or stopped loving the man 3 years earlier so he could pursue his dream of becoming a rock star. This gorgeous tattooed, pierced and independent girl was someone a reader could really connect with from the outset of the story. I really found her character such a refreshing change. Did you relate to Devi, Gitte?

Gitte: I absolutely LOVED Devi, such a refreshing and unique character Jenny. She gave up her heart to make sure the love of her life chased his dream. She was strong, selfless and pretty special I’ll say and her love stayed true! And yes I totally related to Devi, I am a kindred tattooed music loving and pierced spirit!!

Jenny: Then we have Seth. From my very first introduction to Seth I knew I was going to love this man. Our gorgeous tattooed bassist leaves the woman he loved and his close friends behind to fulfil his dream of being part of a successful band, My Misery Muse. But the band has hit a bit of a crossroads, with internal squabbling and problems forcing them back to Dallas to regroup and hopefully get things back on track with the band.

I just adored the interactions with Seth and Jaks, apart from his time with Devi, these scenes were probably some of my favourite in the book. Seth just melted my heart when he was with Jaks.

Gitte: I fell in love with Seth pretty much right from the start. Seth is the bassist and the main talent in My Misery Muse. I think Seth must have one of the biggest hearts. Not only is he an amazingly gorgeous tattooed and umm strategically pierced Rock Star. Despite his troubled past he finds and believes in music and love and he believes in what is right and he doesn’t give up! He was so amazing with Jaks and my heart was in a puddle on the floor so many times but the moment that really got to me was when Jaks recognized certain music as being Seth’s. Such a special moment!

Jenny: My Misery Muse was a really enjoyable read for me, Gitte. I loved the alternating POV’s between Devi and Seth and thought it was really well executed and gave the story a certain depth that allowed you to relate personally to the characters. Devi and Seth had amazing chemistry and you really felt the emotion, angst and passion between these two. Their group of friends added a good amount of humor to the story making, but it was Seth, Jaks and Devi’s story and relationship that absolutely grabbed me and these three wonderful characters just stole my heart. Such an all round good read that I finished in one sitting.

Gitte: I completely agree Jenny. I really loved this story and its characters. I loved hearing both their voices because the connection was pretty instant and it ensured that as a reader we got the emotional connection and the background of each character. I thought the balance between serious and funny was pretty spot on and the secondary characters just added so much to the story.

J&G: For consistency in reviewing we must point out that there were quite a lot of grammatical errors and typos in this book. As there were editing notes throughout, we contacted the author to confirm if the correct copy was uploaded to Amazon. We were advised that an incorrect copy had in fact been uploaded and this is being addressed. A new version is currently being uploaded to Amazon.

Let me start off by saying that I am not done with this book, and I don't know that I will finish it. I probably will, just because I'm a stickler for not leaving things unfinished, but it just does not hold my interest. The editing is absolutely horrific! There's so many run on sentences and misplaced commas, missing periods, etc. that I'm finding it difficult to get past it. Yeah, the premise of the story has potential, and I'm all about rocker dudes, tattoos, and piercings, but there's hardly any history, no back story, other than the little things that are thrown in here and there. I feel no connection to the characters or from the characters, and the sex is not that hot. I give it two stars at the moment, only because it does have potential and I like the name. That would make a kick ass band name IRL.

Alrighty then, folks! I finished this book today, yes because I'm anal retentive about things. My previous review stands. I rolled my eyes so hard so many times, I feel like I won't need a brain scan for a while. I completed that on my own. I mentioned the editing errors earlier, too, but there were so many missing periods in this book, I feel like I need to take a pregnancy test! The book has potential, I've said it before, I'm saying it again. But I just cannot get past the editing issues and the total clichedness of it. For the record...in the author's note she thanks someone for the editing because there were a lot of errors. FIRE THAT EDITOR!

I apologize in advance to the author for my review. It is very difficult for me to give an honest opinion of the story and characters when the book is filled with so many punctuation and grammatical errors. How can a book be published or uploaded to Amazon containing so many errors? Most of the sentences made no sense because of the complete lack of punctuation or poor grammar. The author also uses the wrong words in many places throughout the book.

The story is simple, Boy leaves Girl to pursue rock music career, she loves him but lets him go, she gets pregnant and is unable to tell him. He later returns to town and meets the young son he never knew he had. She is now a well-regarded tattoo artist. I did not feel much of a connection between the main characters. Maybe if the typos and grammar are fixed, the story would be easier to follow!

I did like the tattoo parlor setting and enjoyed the descriptions of Seth and Devlin, the main characters. This book could have been so much better! I am giving this a solid 3 stars.

Another rockstar book... with a rockstar a absolutely adored!

Seth is a hot tattoo'd and pierced rocker- yum. He comes home after being on the road with his band for a few years and runs into his ex girl Devi. Devi is awesome. She is a tattoo artist who is working hard to support her her 2 1/2 year old son Jaks. When Seth sees her for the first time in years, all his feelings come rushing back. Then he see's Jaks... his mini me. Seth has to make a choice- his band or his family. Tough decision for this guy- music has always been his life.

Loved the book, the main characters were great- especially Drake and Mags :D Really enjoyed this one!

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Well, let me tell you…I had no idea…Rock Stars, tattoos, piercings! Oh My!

This was a rock star romance but told in a very unique and creative way. This was a fresh story about rockers, their friends and family and life at home. It was also about the struggles faced beyond typical fan adoration or a love triangle. This book dealt with issues like choosing your career over a personal life or your family. Sometimes, as I saw in My Misery Muse, this is not always an easy choice to make.

Brei Betzold did a lovely job with her character development. These characters and their stories were new and distinctive. The focus of the story is on Devi and Seth, who have known each other since their early teens. The story is told from their alternating POVs. Devi is an artist, independent, strong and self-made. She has a close knit group of friends and a very strong, very supportive older brother. Seth, bassist for My Misery Muse, is the rock star, sex god who has given me a new view on the piercings. I had no idea. He is a dream and he melted my heart. He is also one of my new erotic fantasies. Tall, dark, and handsome and pierced for pleasure. But he is so much more.

This author did an impressive job creating these characters and separating them from stereotypes. She took us beyond the physical image of her characters and brought us right into their lives, families and hearts. Betzold made these characters expressive. The story is told in alternating points of view. The transitions between each POV were flawless and I loved the perspective it gave to the story. I loved the insight this brought to the story and didn't feel like I was being bounced all over. Regardless of the POV, each telling was engaging and I felt that I truly had a visual experience through words.

Betzold’s debut novel drew me in from the beginning. This book gave me an uncommon experience, but just as emotional, sexy and enjoyable as I look for. I know that this writer’s abilities will only improve upon the solid job displayed in this book. So, I look forward to the next book and more from this author. Give it a try!!

I loved it soooo freaking much from start to finish it rocked my world. My Misery Muse is a mix of New Adult meets Mills and Boon and boy what a great mix. I need book #2 for Drake and Mags story.

This one was a DNF for me. It just had too many errors--which normally I can overlook. But I also felt no connection to any of the characters. Not to mention this was a storyline I've read several times before--which were also done better in my opinion.

I didn't like it whatsoever.

Rock star leaves hometown to make it big

girl has baby and doesn't tell him because he can't be reached

Rock star comes home and sees child

blah blah blah..

It was horrible!

I had been looking forward to this book ever since I saw the cover and blurb...Hot Rock Star going home and running into the only girl he ever loved...

Tattoo Artist Devi was strong and independent and had been raising a 2 yo son with just the support of her brother andfriends. Seth had been off living the Rock Star Dream.

I have to admit when I started reading it, I thought maybe I was going to be disappointed. I liked the characters and the storyline, but at the beginning I was having a hard time getting emotionally invested. There were all of these scenarios for high drama, but the characters were handling them so well. There was no real tension or emotional anger for these situations that were supposed to be dramatic. The characters moved on way to easily. It just felt like it was missing something.

But then they just sort of snuck into my heart more and more. I loved Seth and Devi together, and they had great chemistry. The budding relationship with Seth and Jaks was very sweet and heartfelt. And Seth was trying so hard to find a place back in their lives. I guess I did not realize how much I was rooting for this couple and family, until it seemed like there would be no way to resolve their situation. So somewhere along the way I got emotionally invested.

"No one, ever but you..."

There was definitely more drama towards the last half of the book, and I started turning pages faster trying to figure out how it would all work out.

The secondary characters were just as important as the main ones and they were very well developed. I really liked her brother, Drake and their group of friends and how they had supported Devi, Jaks, and Seth along the way. They were funny and outlandish at times and you could not help but laugh at the things that came out of their mouths.

The author nailed it at the end. I was really hoping this couple could find a resolution. I hated to see them hurting. It was full of emotion and the connection between the characters was filled with the right amount of tension.

...this is what I wanted with Seth, I realized. I wanted the Seth I knew and loved, not Seth the bassist of My Misery Muse. I wanted the man behind what everyone else saw, the Seth that I had feelings for didn't come out very often away from Dallas.

"Look at this as a test, make it work, and prove to her you can be a father to Jaks, a husband to her, and the bassist of My Misery Muse...I don't know how you will do it, but I know you can."

I am looking forward to book 2 in this series Faith that I assume will be about Mags and Devi's brother, Drake. I atleast hope so! I loved their fiery anti-relationship in this book.

Okay well I am sort of coming to grips with the fact that I am a fiction whore. Between tortured bad-boys, rock gods and Billionaires that have a fetish for a little rough sex I am fully addicted. (I had given up on fiction in my teens and kept to non-fiction, current affairs and historic type books for the last 10 years or so - but 50+ books over the last 45 days and I am completely done for).

Seth...wow - sexy rock star, good in bed and a heart of gold? What else are we missing - oh yeah, falls instantly in love with a little boy he never knew and is able to forgive in a heart beat. Devi, let's see - a sexy tattoo artist who not only loves her little boy more than anything is so selfless that she keeps breaking her own heart over and over again.

Add in a bit of sassy Mags, protective Drake and a cast full of characters that all held your interest. I love the fact that this wasn't your typical rock star on the road - trying to stay faithful to his girlfriend at home. Although you still get your share of the waterworks in this one when it gets a bit rocky. But Seth is truly a good guy in love with his little Devi, who still only has eyes for him after all these years.

I think I need to buy freaking stock in Kleenex. The fact that you throw in Jak's to this story and the normal battle of the heart (and wills) is shot all to hell when you consider the little boy who is in the middle of all this.

Great book - great story and even though it ended without much left out - there is definite room for a spin off story for Mags and Drake. Worth the read - it does not disappoint one bit. But be prepared to shed a few tears.

This is one confusing writing style.

I guess the author thinks that we already know some of the characters storys or something? The informations about the characters lifes were all over the place and just thrown into the mix as the story developted.

All of the characters were nice, but I didn't feel any REAL conection between the main characters. Maybe if the book had a Prologue, than I would have known their past, why they were the way they were, how they got togheter, and yada, yada, yada.

Devi was plain stupid. She never talked to Seth and always did what SHE THOUGHT was good for HIM, not for their son. That whole "he left me enough times already" just didn't work for me.He left her so many times because she let him go.Period.

Seth...Well, he was ok, I guess. Not much to say, since he was pretty much the same as Devi (what an unnerving couple).

I'm crazy to know who will have the next book of the My Misery Muse series! I hope it will be .

3.5 STARS

This was a very quick read for me. Went to bed and had it finished before turning out my light. The basic story was good, but I found the female lead, Devi, a pain. She could only ever see the mistakes that Seth made, and didn't take into account her own faults.

There wasn't enough background information on them either. The little I got just wasn't enough to give me a full picture of where they had come from.

The biggest problem for me was an editing one though. There was incorrect words and at times a word would be in the sentence that just didn't belong. These were so obvious that they took me from the story.

With more editing care, I could have enjoyed this so much more. As I did like this story, and found myself reading until late so I could get to the end, I will read the next book, at some stage. I am just in no real hurry for it.

2,5 stars.

Why did I rate it so low?
Because, though the story is good and the characters are totally likable to be a 4 stars read, the amount of grammatical and punctuation errors was way too much for me. At times, I just felt like smashing my cellphone against any hard surface that could cause any amount of damage AND dropping the book.

Anyone loves a tattooed rockstar. But not a tattoed rockstar who cannot differentiate you're from your and could've from could of (What's could of anyway?). I wanted to rip my eyes out of my sockets and puke my guts out at that. Both at the same time. (Nice picture, isn't it?)

I got even more surprised when, at the aknowledgements, the author thanked the editor. Did this even had an editor?? Seriously??? It really is hard to believe.

The potential is all there. The only thing lacking... an editor!!!

I'll start by saying that I really want to like this book. I am halfway through, but at this point, I'm just not sure I want to spend any more of my time reading it. While the plot definitely has potential, I find myself constantly distracted by typos, changes between past/present tense, run on sentences and grammatical mistakes. It makes it very hard to focus on the story when I'm constantly trying to decipher what the author really meant to say. Like I said, I think the story has potential, but in its current state, it may just wind up on my DNF shelf.

Even if I could have gotten past all of the grammatical errors (which I couldn't), I still wouldn't be crazy about this book. The whole story stayed very superficial. The main characters Devi and Seth split up, got back together then did it all over again and I never really cared. I liked the idea of their characters - tattoo artist and rock star - but didn't see enough of their personalities to get pulled in.

So I really wanted to give this 3 stars because the story was good, the chemistry between Devi and Seth was hot, and there was a reference to Guy Fawkes Day (Sorry. History major moment). However there were WAY too may typos for me to let it slide. There was an issue with the tense used as well. Anyone who knows me knows that I don't usually notice grammar and spelling errors when I read, but if I do, it's a major goof up.

Nothing special with this book.. struggled to read it.
Was predictable, went way too quickly.

Even the way she introduced her son in a "by the way" fashion was so fast, or how they got back together.. I have read many books with a similar storyline, and this did not offer up anything new.

Sorry to those who read it, but this was not for me.

I finally gave it up at 64% because I hadn't been interested in it for a while. it didn't interest me like many of the other na books I've read.

I don't want to sound horrible but for me the best thing about this book is the cover because the editing in the book is pretty bad and the continuing spelling of yeah as yea was driving me mad.
