Rate this book
By learning what each piece of the Armor is for they will understand why Paul didn't include the Isaiah pieces. This is going to enable Spiritual Warriors to move into deeper realms of warfare. Which will allow them to be more successful in Spiritual Battles.

Pastor George was delivered from occult practices as a young adult. For the last twenty years he has used his past to help deliver others from the lies of the devil. He has trained others in Spiritual Warfare and Spiritual Breakthrough techniques based solely on the Bible.

George McVey is a Pastor that grew up in a Christian home. He prayed a prayer of Salvation at the tender age of six and continued in church until his teens. At around age sixteen George became disillusioned with what he saw in church and Christians and began looking for something else. Like so often happens in that situation, he was introduced to the occult and spent the next two years as a practicing Satanist. In his late twenties George returned to the faith of his childhood and soon there after felt the call of God on his life to reach out to young people like he had been. In 1995 George began working as a youth minister and did that for the next five years.
As a youth pastor he has written several youth devotionals and lessons for himself and other part time and volunteer youth pastors as well as two complete youth retreats. He always printed them himself for the retreat members but always dreamed of publishing.
He was ordained in 2000 and became a senior pastor/ church planter in 2001. In 2007 George went from senior pastor to revivalist pastor with an emphasis on spiritual warfare and particularly on prayer walking a community to see spiritual breakthrough and renewal.
In late 2009 Georges ministry focus had shifted to prayer walking and revival coupled with prayer walking. George has taught on the subject many times and led countless prayer walks, and he kept hearing people tell him they would love to have his information in print so In 2010 God moved PG to begin to write. He has written several Bible studies and short stories. His first two books are non-fiction Bible studies. One day he woke up with several characters in his head trying to tell him their stories. He began writing them down.

Sometimes it's really hard to understand the Bible. Poetic metaphor in any form can be difficult to analyse. Using language any Bible reader can understand, Pastor George McVey breaks down this portion of scripture to help anyone gain access to the armor of God. If you've struggled with getting this scripture into practice, this short booklet is a great start.

Wow! What a powerful little book. I feel as if I could stand up with the best of them in Gods Armor and defend against the devil and all his minions. This is a must read book. They say "big things come in small packages" well this is one of them. I will be posting all the different parts of the Armor of God on my wall to remind me not to forget it each morning when I wake up. I will use it to defend my family and any one else the devil decides to intimidate or harm.

Pastor George McCoy pulls no punches and asks no permission in writing and teaching this book. It is past time that we wake up and advance the Kingdom for our King and for His citizens.

This is a most encouraging book. It whips up zest and zeal until you want to do something. Don't let that feeling past. Get up !

Oh, this is really not for me. This is one of my "list" books - basically, to broaden my reading I pick random lists on Goodreads and try to read my way through them. This tends to bring up books that I would never read normally, and sometimes that's turned out well and sometimes it hasn't. Look, I'm not religious. In the past, I've certainly come away with valuable things from Christian theologians such as C.S. Lewis or Lloyd Geering, but that's not the case with this book.

In his defence, McVey is doing something interesting here. It's basically a series of visualisations, imagining religiously positive qualities in the form of armour - imagine truth as a waist belt, for instance, and visualise putting it on to develop a greater reliance on truth in general. Which is actually quite an imaginative idea! It's not a visualisation that would work for me, but I can see how other people might find it helpful. It's just I can't get over the literalness of the argument. I mean: "This weapon [the helmet of salvation] sends demons to flight every time. It takes away their legal right to a person." I'm sorry, what?! Even if I believed in demons, which I don't, you'd have to go a long way, with a lot more supporting material, to make me believe demons had a legal right to anything. There's quite a lot like this. I just can't take it seriously.

Oh well, perhaps the next random religious book I come across in a Goodreads list will be more to my taste.

Must Read for true believers

This is a short but sweet treatise on the Armor of God. Most of you have heard about the defensive armor in Ephesians 6, but few of us have heard of the offensive armor. So if you want to know how to wield the complete Armor of God, this book is for you.

Excellent points made!

I greatly appreciate the distinction made between our enemies and God's enemies. The whole entire armor of God is to be used against Satan and his icky angels, NOT against my neighbor or me, who fall into Satan's traps and lies.

Simple and clearly written

Simple bible truth written in easy to understand format. Need to further expound on theses passages. I’ll see if book number two goes into greater depth.

The Complete Armor of God(Spiritual Warfare for End Time Warriors Book 1)

I chose this rating because of the order he put the Whole Armor of God in. I need to read this book again and again until it gets down in my spirit. I have never heard or read any one explain about the Armor of God. "Armor of God ", those these three words has got me thinking. Of how we need teachers that will break this down for us so that a little child can understand it. Thank you Mr. George McVey.

Pastor McVey has a lot of information packed into this book. It shows you Who the armor really belongs to, what each piece is, and how it is used. I was only aware of the defensive armor, and a very small part of the offensive. With a new understanding of the armor, I am better equipped to attack the enemy, take back what he's stolen, and stand my ground. I highly recommend ready this to everyone.

This was a pretty good booklet. Too short to be considered a full book, and that's my biggest reason for only giving it 3 stars. The information was interesting, especially the author's views on the offensive armor God provides us.

I just completed reading The Complete Armor of God, which is a great little book. I have studied the Bible all of my life and even write some Bible Studies, but this one gave me fresh insight into the Armor of God scripture in Ephesians. I loved it and highly recommend it to others.

Advancing the Kingdom of God

I like that the author always gives the bible references. So you can go verify what he has written. I found it to the point. No embellishment. Very helpful.

Informative

Pastor George introduced the Armor of God to me like never before. I've heard it explained many times and also studied it but I've never quite got the breakdown of it. I got a new way to look at the Armor of God, the whole thing when studying this.

Question

I agree with the defensive armor but I need to check with my Pastor about the offensive armor because I'm a little confused about it.
