It's a story of second chances. Four years ago Garreth Connor rode out of Calico Creek with a promise to send for Mary as soon as he made it rich chasing gold. Now he's back and Mary wants answers because he clearly doesn't remember her.

Nice short teaser. If you like second chance stories this one leads into a couple starting from scratch - again.

This was a sweet historical western short story. I liked the premise and I even liked the hero and heroine even though I would have liked more emotional depth. The writing was good, especially the historical descriptions. I just wished it was longer. It seemed to end just as things were heating up.
