I really really wanted to like this one and I did.. but the constant babbling of the characters got old. I would have rather seen a conversation instead of long winded confessions. Otherwise it was a great story!
This book was a typical cowboy menage book that takes place in a town of menage 'couples'. There is always more BDSM in these books than I personally care to read, but I take what I can get for some hot multiple cowboy love. I think the main problem I had with this book was the heroine. I never really liked her. She ignored her loving, yet critical mother's phone calls and basically refused to see her family for 6 YEARS. She never even bothered to meet her sweet as pie 3 year old niece until she couldn't refuse to go back. I don't understand all the free passes she is given for this. My family would come find me and demand to see me if I ever tried to pull something like this. For as many times a week as we are told she talks to her sister and brother, I really don't understand the 6 year thing. My family would have to come check on me just to make certain that I was as ok as I said, and this family is supposed to be 'close'. So if they all loved her as much as the author tells us, I don't understand them not forcing a visit on her. Basically, this set the tone for me and the heroine. I found her selfish and ridiculous. Oh and if I had to hear about her dang belly button ring one more time, I was going to loose it. Plus, I never understand the need for a 24 year old virgin in these scenarios. I find an overly sexy 24 year old virgin a bit much. Why is she a woman who respects herself for holding out so long, instead of a cold heart woman who set her mind on one guy and wouldn't bend? Seriously, she couldn't care for any other guy in 6 YEARS? There is something wrong with this picture to me.
She didn't even Skype or FaceTime. They may live in a rural area but no where is THAT rural. No Facebook or pictures. I'll never be convinced that Tessa was anything but cold.
When Tessa Walker left Allure, Wyoming it was with mixed feelings. Leaving her family was hard, but after years of being teased about her weight and the constant put-downs by her mother, she is looking to reinvent herself under who own rules. Six years later, Tessa is stunning, she has shed the weight and become confident, no one in Allure though knows about her transformation and she had not planned on sharing it anytime soon, until she gets a call that her father had a stroke.
Returning home is bittersweet, she wants to see her family and the looks on the faces of her former tormentors, as well as finally having approval from her mother. While some expectations are met and then some, others are a disappointment.
Mitch, Rance, and Sam Collins are intrigued by the stunning beauty dancing on the dance floor. Mitch approaches her first, not realizing who it is and quickly realizing this is the women the brothers have been looking for. All three brothers are dumbfounded to learn the sensual woman is Tessa and each plan to woo her into becoming their woman. Everything is going smoothly until Tessa is hunted by a stalker who plans to make her his, but the men have no plans of letting her put herself in danger and are swift in action to protect her.
Very good story, there were a couple of things that I was a bit perplexed with particularly the mother. Rance has a side story that was intriguing but one of the issues between Tessa and he is the D/s relationship and I never really felt he fit that role completely. Otherwise entertaining story.
I love Ms Maxwell's Welcome Home, Tessa. I really enjoyed the book and was blow away about the menage and who the stalker was too. You will never ever even guess who the stalker is. I sure didn't. If you haven't read you should go out and buy it just for the three beautiful loving men Mitch, Rance, and Sam Collins and their Tessa.
