Amy Kincaid is running from her controlling ex-husband, who will stop at nothing to find her. With a new identity and a new job as a housekeeper, she just wants to be left alone to raise her daughter. Then Eddie Fitzgerald rolls into town and turns her world upside down.
He’s in the business of exposing the truth...
Eddie Fitzgerald, L.A.P.D.'s finest, lives for his job and nothing else, until he decides to take a break at the family summer home and is held at gunpoint by the most annoying, sassiest woman to ever cross his path. But something is off about Amy, and the more he learns about her, the more he’s convinced she’s a fugitive.
When her past catches up to her, Amy has no choice but to trust Eddie. Unfortunately, Eddie has demons of his own, and struggles with the decision to protect her or uphold the law.
The truth takes them down a deadly path, and only love can save them.
I write sensual Paranormal and contemporary romance. When not writing, I read. When not reading, I hang out with my family. When not with my family, I'm plotting and writing....it's a vicious cycle.
Another great book in this series! I believe that this is one of my favorites! I simply love the whole family and now that almost everyone makes an appearance it’s like a party for me!
Amy is trying to start a new life, far from her abusive husband, with her daughter. She doesn’t trust anyone and when larger-than-life Eddie come to the picture she knows that this man will change her life.
I liked Amy a lot because she’s a fighter. She puts her daughter above everything else and she’s doing her best to keep her safe. She works hard and she’s not afraid to say her opinion.
Eddie is a man who doesn’t believe in marriage. Not even in relationships. But that is history when he meets Amy. He doesn’t admit it at first but she is the one for him. He helps her without many questions and he’s willing to do anything for her. I love the way he is with her daughter, Raelynn!
But my favorite person in this book is definitely Raelynn! She’s the cutest, little girl ever! I felt sorry for her at the beginning of the story because no little girl must be afraid of men because of one bad man but I was happy to see that Eddie changed that!
It was a very good story and I can’t wait to read the next book! Totally a recommendation for all the fans of this genre!
Read the blurb to get a gist of the storyline. Im not giving away any spoilers here ;) lol
Once again E B Walters has delivered us the goodies. I’d have to say that by far, this book was my favorite in the series. Maybe it’s because of a certain hotty police officer but Ednah has certainly turned up the heat in this story. She certainly knows how to encase the reader within the story and show us just wants inside .
Eddie was just scrumptious - drop dead hotness, and sinfully sexy!
With the vivid details that Ednah puts forth - you will certainly be taking home yet another book boyfriend... I loooooooved his character.. He remains true to his previous persona in all of the series and we see just a little more into his depth in this story and you won’t be disappointed what so ever.
Amy is one kicke arse strong willed woman, I loved her character! She is very realistic and a character that I’m sure every woman can relate to at some stage. The chemistry that Eddie and Amy have is volcanic and swoons worthy... It's hot, romantic and downright sensual.
Ednah has no qualms in putting forth all descriptions for her characters throughout the story and even entwining characters from the previous books within the storyline to give us that extra depth and definition we see in every story she writes.
The storyline was well paced, never lulling or boring the reader with gaps or lags. Its go go from page one, till you have turned the last page and sighed - - . A few twists in the storyline, some action, heartache and moments where you will be gripping at your reader, but the storyline will pique your attention at every turn.
A fantastic story, that will leave your breathe baited your heart skipping a beat and your toes curling in anticipation!!
This is the best in the series so far........... Hmmmmm I loved all the Fitzgerald’s, the close nit relationship between them all the closeness and importance of family woven throughout!!
I started this at 2 am this morning - went to bed at 4am...and couldnt put it down! Even as a beta read I found the story fantastic and will certainly be picking it up to read again.
I had the pleasure of reading this novel before it was released and I have to say I squealed when it hit my inbox. I have loved Eddie from the very beginning. I will say though that he is still second to Chase, because I just see him as mine and he makes me purr. Hey, a girl can dream, but Eddie still rocks my world! *smiles*
Amy is a woman that can be any woman. She is coming out of turbulent relationship that was filled with pain, fear and lies. She has done what most women would do, left her abusive husband for her own sake, but mainly for the safety of her innocent daughter. This momma bear will protect her baby and you better watch out for her claws. She is a new woman and full of surprises.
Eddie needs a break. A nice quiet escape from L.A. to northern Idaho should do it. He is not going cold turkey, though. He plans to quietly assist the local police department on a baffling case, but he doesn't see that as a problem. He is away from his precinct, family and daily troubles, so all is good. He expected a quiet reprieve and got a woman and her daughter that will not leave him, his body or his heart alone.
These two start off very rocky, but find that they enjoy each other’s company. They are both leery from their pasts, but slowly through quiet companionship, sexual attraction and a vibrant little girl, their relationship begins to blossom. It’s too bad that Amy’s ex has found her and he decides that no one will get in his way of getting what he wants…Amy. What the man doesn't expect or plan for is Eddie Fitzgerald. Eddie is a force not to be reckoned with and he has the support and tools to protect Amy. The ex-husband also has no idea the lengths Amy will go to protect her daughter. It’s a double whammy and I really enjoyed the show.
Forever Hers is the fifth novel in the Fitzgerald Family series. I have yet to be disappointed with any of the stories this series. This novel did seem to have a stronger “danger” presence than the prior book and I have to say I really enjoyed that aspect. There has also always been a touch of mystery encompassing Eddie. It was so nice to get a peek into the man and learn what makes him tick. I also enjoyed that Amy was able to break through his shell, but truthfully Eddie didn't stand a chance once he met Amy’s daughter, Raelynn. She was an entertaining and lovely addition to the story.
Great plot, devious villain, enchanting secondary characters and a cute as a button little girl; how can you go wrong? You can’t! Oh, oh, oh – I forgot to mention, these two have amazing, ahem, scenes together, *wink-wink*. Forever Hers, is a well-rounded novel that shouldn't be missed. I suppose you can read it as a standalone, but you really can’t beat the series as a whole. Check them out. This is contemporary romance at its best!
Every time you pick up the newest Fitzgerald series book it's like you are being welcomed back into the family fold. With each new book, you get even more invested in seeing what is happening with previous characters, as well as diving in deep to the latest characters’ story. E.B. Walters never fails to hook me with this series. I fall more and more in love with it.
In this latest book, "Forever Hers", Eddie's story is finally told. Oh Eddie, how I have longed for you. You are always so fierce and protective of your loved ones. Sure, you are slightly scarred on the inside, but I knew the right woman would dash your commitment issues. Then low and behold you get put on leave of absence and find your damsel in… distress… Wait, Amy might be many things, strong and honest, but she is hardly asking to be rescued.
Eddie isn't used to how she tells him what she really thinks. He also finds her random singing horrible, but he is drawn to her nonetheless and that scares him when he feels too deep. Shoot, I shouldn't say scared on a big strong man, how about afraid of his feelings?
Amy has managed to escape an abusive relationship and will do anything to protect her daughter. Mother by day, writer by night, she is not a woman you mess with when it comes to her little girl. Just imagine her surprise when she sees hot hunky Eddie, who will be staying at the house she up keeps. Her pulse starts a racing and dirty thoughts awaken her long dead libido sending it into overdrive. Good thing he writes romance books to put it all into as opposed to dealing with flesh and blood male in front of her. You know however that there is only so much fighting against feelings two people can do, between the battle to bring the abusive stalker down, before all things must come to an end and desire is given into.
Let me tell you, the verbal banter back and forth is foreplay. When Eddie and Amy come together, it's combustible. I loved how strong Amy is throughout the book for her daughter and not taking what was dished to her by the psycho. I respected her as if I knew her in real life. She was strong yet you still saw the soft, caring and, even though at first distrustful, she opened herself up to the possibilities. Eddie, I almost growled at you a few times. Letting one thing from the past hinder you, but deep down you are a softie, loyal, loveable and so protective. I fell in love with you myself, but I know a match made in heaven when I see it, so now I must go after Chase or Lex. It's hard to pick a favorite couple when they all capture your heart. Walters has an amazing series here. They just keep getting better and better till you finish one book, reach for the next, and think ‘damn it I have to wait’. I, for one, am dying for the next in the series and it can't get here soon enough.
I'm almost embarrassed to say that I have never read anything by E.B. Walters before. Boy, was I missing out! Forever Hers is Book #5 in the Fitzgerald series but it works great as a stand alone book! The characters from the other books are referred to and a bit of their story is out there tempting enough that I need to go out and get the first 4 books :)
E.B. Walters writes a nice strong character in Amy. I was thrilled to see how gutsy she was and how she was willing to do anything to protect her daughter. Amy is on the run with her almost-5-year-old daughter from a dangerous ex-husband. While in most cases the tales of abuse would have been enough, Amy's ex is a cop and manages to make her look unstable and delusional to even her own parents. She is then taught one major lesson- cops can no longer be trusted. So Amy is forced to flee with her daughter and assume a new identity.
Eddie is on leave from the LAPD and is conned by a match making family member to spend his leave at his cousin's lake house. He shows up and is met with a gun at the door courtesy of Amy - the new housekeeper. While things might not have gotten off on the right foot, they both realize that they need to learn to live together. Eddie detests authors every since his own mother left his family when he was young to pursue her career as a famous author. Finding out that Amy is an author is a bitter pill to swallow. Still, Raelynn's (Amy's daughter) reaction to men and some of Amy's haunted looks sends Eddie on a hunt to find out what is really going on with this mother & daughter. Despite their individual hangups with the other's profession, Amy and Eddie grow close as the threat of her ex-husband looms closer.
This was a twisting and turning thrilling story! The story line caught me immediately, between Eddie's connection with Raelynn and the steam between Eddie and Amy... I had a hard time putting it down! I definitely recommend this one !!
*Disclosure- I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review *
What a fascinating story! Incapable of putting the book down, I was finished reading it in just over 24 hours! Eddie has been on my mind all day long! The author pulls you in and has you feeling the emotions of the characters in the story. The cover is beautiful, simple yet elegant, speaks volumes of Eddie and Amy's story. You would not believe how long I have been waiting on Eddie Fitzgerald's book!
Amy Kincaid is one of a kind, living a real life reality. Running from her ex, she must take up a new identity and leave town. Her ex of all people a twisted cop that seems to know her every move. Secret plans laid out lead Amy to the Fitzgerald cottage. A job opportunity given to her by a old friend of hers so now she's got her 5 year old daughter, Raelynn and she's house sitting for Baron Fitzgerald. :D
Low and behold Eddie of all people decides his loyalty is more important than his job and he gets in trouble. Needing time away from his happily married family members, he heads off to the Fitzgerald's cottage. Unknowingly he enters the cottage and ends up held at gun point by non other than Amy Kincaid. Eddie has sworn off women and never gets close, always choosing those that are career minded instead of seeking to settle down. His home life consists of a booty call every week to every two weeks. Never expecting to feel anything other than lust, he agrees to allow Amy to stay on the job continuing her house work for Baron.
One thing leading to another and yet Amy knows what kind of man Eddie is, she refuses to allow herself to feel. Eddie is not sure he can trust Amy and what she has told him of her past and also refuses to get any where near her. Both unable to control the heat building between them, but will their pasts keep them from coming together? Or will Eddie be able to see past Amy's haunted past? Will he allow her to even get close enough? I cannot wait to read Chase's story! He's such a charming flirt!
I've never really been all that into contemporary romance. There's just something so...normal about it most of the time. I absolutely adored Ednah's Young Adult series, and I had heard so many good things about this series that I definitely wanted to give it a shot.
Wow! There is nothing normal about this book! Bad cops, burglars, and feisty heroines, oh my! I never doubted Ednah for a moment. She draws you in with a story that is so suspenseful, and romantic that it becomes nearly impossible to put down. The story flows incredibly well. Amy and Eddie have such wonderful chemistry! Not only that, but there are so many different things about each character that make the story so much more amazing! Like the fact that Amy has a little girl. Watching Eddie's progression with Amy's daughter is just the sweetest and most beautiful thing. It makes Eddie that much more desirable, not just for Amy either! ;) I really like that Amy stands up for herself. She's so feisty and doesn't take crap from anyone! That is a rare trait in heroines these days and I loved it!
One of my favorite things about the book is that despite the fact that it is book number five in the series, and I have not read any of the previous books, I didn't feel lost at all. The story is a great stand alone book, but I bet after I go back and read the rest of the series, it'll make Forever Hers so much more enjoyable!
Forever Hers reminds me of some of Nicholas Sparks work, only better because you get tragedy, romance and a happy ending! I will be starting book one, Slow Burn, very soon and will be purchasing all the other books in the series! I highly encourage this one for anyone looking for a really good contemporary read! Congratulations, Ednah! :) You have the first contemporary book to make it to my 'Favorites' shelf on Goodreads! That's how good this book is, folks! <3
OH. MY. GAWD! Every time I think I've found my favorite Fitzgerald Family book, Ednah writes another one! I've been dying for Eddie's story for a while now. He's always helping all of his cousins, and I really wanted him to get his happy ending. I have to say that Eddie is both extremely appealing and obscenely frustrating at the same time. He has this frustrating hang up due to him mother's abandonment, but he is also so endearing and heart felt and well.... sexy!
I really liked that this book had a different setting and involved a woman who already has a child. For me, this aspect made the relationship all the more important. And like all the women in the Fitzgerald Family books, Amy is kick ass! She is strong and independent and has overcome a lot of really bad stuff, and I love that Eddie's role is not only to protect her but empower her. Even though he has control issues. I mean really, what man doesn't!?
The relationship between Amy and Eddie is wonderful, but the relationship between Amy and her Ex really cements the story. You'll have to read it to find out why, but Amy's history will suck you in and you will flipping each and every page just waiting for that final *BAM* moment.
While this is the 5th book in the Fitzgerald Family series, you don't really have to have read the other books, although I strongly encourage you to if you haven't. Ednah is a fabulous author who grows with each and every book and her men.... O.M.G! You definitely don't want to miss out on all those scrumptious men! You can check out my reviews of all the other Fitzgerald Family books below. What are you waiting for.... go pick up Forever Hers!
9/8 Forever Hers by Ednah Walters This family saga continues with the story of Eddie, the cop. His mother had walked out on him, his sister and their father when she became famous as an author. He will never forgive her for that. His family has tricked him into traveling to Sandpoint, Idaho to take care of the housekeeper of the house Baron and Kara own. He knows she is troubled and has really no idea what is wrong but he will find out in time as he is there, on suspension from work for several weeks. He also meets up with other local cops who he lends a hand to in solving some hard cases. Love the family atmosphere and the setting with the neighbors being so friendly. I laughed so hard when Eddie's family members show up to do some work-love the bantering they have for one another. So happy to find that Amy is so strong in what she does, her work and in raising her child and is willing to go the distance to do more to safeguard them. Also love how they get to know one another and then the family bombards their lives. Others who've not read the whole series might find their presence a bit overwhelming as there is a bunch of them. They will not hurt you, just go with the flow. So many things I learned in this book and I was glad for the travel as I had just gone to Charlottesville a year ago and other new places.
I LOVE The Fitzgerald Family series and have waited in anticipation for Eddies story from the beginning and was NOT disappointed.
The two main characters were a perfect match, its true what they say how opposites attract. Eddie has issues with authors from personal experience and never saw himself committed to someone let alone Amy the author. Amy has a bad past with cops and doesn't trust them, so you can just imagine what happens when she finds out Eddie's a cop.
Amy and Eddie are very strong in their personalities and beliefs and at times (if not always) are pig headed which was hilarious and just fine with me. I loved all the arguments and romantic scenes shared between them and grew to love the family they become. Highly enjoyed reading on past characters from the first four books and all the shit they give Eddie while his supposedly courting Amy even if he doesn't know it lol
The mystery and suspense really surprised me in this story and blew my mind by the time I put all the pieces together and solved the puzzle.
This is a GREAT book and fits perfectly in the series. Can't wait for more from the Fitzgerald's :D
Amy Kincaid’s only focus is protecting her daughter, on the run from her abusive ex, Amy finds herself with a new identity and job as a housekeeper. Eddie Fitzgerald is taking three weeks away from the L.A.P.D. to take a respite at his families vacation, only to find an intriguing woman pointing a gun at him.
Once Eddie and Amy come to terms of both of them staying in the same house, it becomes evident quickly with Amy’s tentative daughter and haunted looks that they are hiding something. Eddie plans to protect both of them, but Amy has a stubborn streak and when the man she is hiding finds her he will do everything in his power to keep them both by his side.
Loved Amy, she is quirky and unexpected. Eddie is more than patient with her, but he is having a difficult time fighting his instincts to keep them safe especially when she has her own ideas on how to do it. I hope there is more in this series, an excellent read.
E.B. Walters has done it again folks! This is book 5 in The Fitzgerald Family Series. All of the books have been amazing, but I do believe this one is my favorite. E.B. takes a change of pace in book 5, and it was very refreshing to read. Eddie has always been one of my favorite Fitzgeralds, and it was wonderful to hear his story. Amy is such a strong character, and you can't help fall in love with her and her daughter. Forever Hers was a great, exciting story. I highly recommend this book, AND the entire series. I'm patiently waiting for the next book in the series.
I have had the distinct pleasure of getting to read this story before its release. I love all the Fitzgerald books and E.B Walters has done another smashing job on this one. Eddie story is much anticipated and he is well matched with Amy. The story is lovey, and the romance is HOT! Don't miss out on another adventure. Now I just have to wait for the next one. Who will it be?
It is great to like a character and follow it true bk,1,2,3 &4 and to FINALY read he's story was great , more then great excellent . I like it wen all the characters from previews book have some appearance , it completes the Fitzgerald family I am looking forward on reading Lex story and catching up with the family.
Eddie!!!!!!!! I've been so excited to read his book, I love him and fans of the series are going to absolutely love this!!! Amy has a really brilliant back story and I couldn't put this down its just fantastic! The dual POV works brilliantly again as it has in the other books and the cameos from previous characters are funny and I loved seeing what they were up to. Straight on to the next book 😁 easy 5 stars 😁
Definitely enjoyed Eddie's book - he and Amy heat up the pages nicely! It was a bit contrived that he hates authors and she hates cops, which is of course exactly what the other one does... but there was a nice bit of growth for both of them. And the suspense part of the story was suspenseful (lol) all in all a good read.
DISCLAIMER TO MY FELLOW GOODREADER This review is my personal opinion and may contain: spoilers, quotes, rants, cussing (sometimes I cannot help myself) and a possible full on recap. I in no way want to ruin anyone’s book reading experience so please read my words with caution.
Eddie fucking Fitzgerald has popped up in EVERY book so far in the series and it is finally time to dive deeper into his story.
27 year old Amy Kincaid is on the run from her ex husband with her daughter Raelynn (his step daughter). Nolan is a cop and no one believed her when she reported him for spousal abuse.. Oh the the blue shield. Amy lands in Idaho of all places - long way from Virginia. Eddie Fitzgerald has taken off from LA to Sandpoint, ID. His cousins are all settling down and having babies. Even Chase and Lex are in the mode. He however is not the marrying type. Holy crap! Amy just held Eddie at gunpoint when he came to the very same house she was staying in as the housekeeper. Love her already. Ah. The house is Baron and Kara's. This makes sense to me. Oh and they are expecting now too!
Chase calls Eddie and tells him Estelle planned the meeting between Amy and him. Eddie tells him he's not interested. Eddie learns Amy is a writer and his old demons come out. His mother abandoned his family when he was 14 to pursue her writing. Raelynn is super skittish around Eddie but slowly starts warming up. Of course everything gets fucked when Nolan is spotted at the grocery store. Amy winds up confessing part of her past to Eddie. He calls Ron to get a state or the art security system. Ashley and him are expecting a baby boy soon.
Eddie goes some sleuthing and finds out that Raelynn's father was killed by a burglary before she was born. Amy was 21 when it happened. The string of burglaries is very similar to the ones that have been happening in Sandpoint, which makes me think they're connected. Nolan was the officer on her case and I'm thinking he's in town and behind these ones too. Freaks me the fuck out. After one passionate kiss things change with Eddie and Amy. He literally seems unaffected and she is hoping for any sort of sign from him. Eddie has won over Raelynn and now she runs to him when she's scared.
The Calvary - Ron, Eddie, Vince and Chase - show up to delivery the security equipment. The Fitzgerald wives sent the men. Apparently Faith is having a difficult pregnancy. Finally Eddie and Amy give into the raw sexual tension. Eddie wants to try for something with his girls and is so protective. Things with Nolan are damn creepy. Apparently he killed Raelynn's dad. He is obsessed with Amy because she looks like someone else. The plan is to fake Amy and Raelynn's deaths and then have Amy pop up for Nolan to see back in Virginia. Plan was full proof until they learned the FBI was involbed and freaking Nolan outsmarted them. Any goes to rescue her parents and stand up to Nolan. She is kickass and Nolan is arrested finally. The epilogue shoots a year forward. Amy is celebrating her book release, they have a son and are married. The Fitzgerald clan are freaking baby machines.
Cliffhanger – no (book 5 of series) POV - Amy and Eddie
My Review: B hot This was a really enjoyable book with several twists and turns that I did not see coming. This book is about Amy and her little girl who are on the run from her ex-husband, who is a master manipulator. As a cop, he has all the power and influence and reputation that comes with his badge. As a result, he's been able to convince everyone, including Amy's parents, that she's become unhinged and irrational. No one believes that he's a danger to her and her daughter. He's convinced everyone that she's the one who's the danger to her sweet little girl, so they are now on the run.
Where they've run to is a sweet little resort town in Idaho where Amy housesits and works as housekeeper at one of the Fitzgerald properties. This is perfect until Eddie Fitzgerald shows up. He works for the LAPD and isn't one to follow the rules explicitly. As a result, he's been suspended and is basically taking a forced vacation. Immediately his detective's nose is twitching when faced with Amy and her daughter. He knows something doesn't add up especially when Amy's daughter is petrified of not only him, but even more so the cops at the grocery store.
Like I said, there were a lot of twists and turns to this. The pure evilness and malice of Amy's ex was disturbing. I love the way the author worked that side of the story line. Every page turned up one more bone-chilling detail about just the pure depth of his depravity.
Then there was the romance between Amy and Eddie. This is a romance novel so you know it's going to be hot, but I loved how the author wrote every love scene so that it brought them closer and closer together. These two definitely connect both physically and emotionally through sex and it's really gorgeous to read those scenes.
I love how Amy refuses to be a victim. She let her ex push her for too long and now she's ready to stand up to him. When she finally gets her say, I honestly was standing up and cheering for her. She rocked the taking control of her life.
Then there's Eddie, whose author mother basically abandoned him and has left him with commitment issues. He's well aware of those issues too and is ALWAYS upfront with where he stands on the whole relationship thing. I liked watching him change his mind about that. It was a gradual thing throughout the book, so it really worked for me.
This is #5 in this series and while the other books were referred to (btw, it sounds like there were some great story lines there) in passing, this book absolutely works as a stand-alone.
I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
***I own a copy of this book. All thoughts are 100% my own.***
We meet Amy while she’s on the lam from her ex-husband, a crooked cop. She becomes the housekeeper for Baron and Kara (from Kiss Me Crazy) on a lake in Idaho. Eddie is in trouble on the force and is on a unpaid suspension due to his temper and his loyalty. So he decided to take some time away from L.A. and take a couple of weeks at Baron’s vacation house. He didn’t expect Amy to be there. He was expecting a 60+ year old woman. Amy wasn’t expecting Eddie. And neither of them expected the hot and heavy attraction between them. But Amy can’t think about that, she has a little girl to think about. Little did she know that that little girl was a key to Eddie’s heart. But how can they make it work together when they have so many things working against them.
Amy, though a victim of many strange crimes, a murdered fiance, and a deranged ex-husband, is not one to play a victim. She’s all sass and attitude and a willingness to learn how to kick major butt! Eddie….oh Eddie. I’ve noticed that in most of Ms. Walters’ books there is THAT guy that makes girl’s hearts pitter patter. And in this series I had thought it could possibly be Vince. That’s until I met Eddie. Yeah, Eddie is the Fitzgerald Family’s “Echo”. And anyone who’s read the Runes Series knows all about Echo. Eddie is fierce, loyal, intense and whoa momma! And honestly, Amy is so well written that I can see how they work well together. So far, THIS is my favorite of the Fitzgerald Family books.
Ms. Walters is winding through the years between our first Fitzgerald book Slow Burn to now with Eddie. And we catch glimpses of all the wonderful stories we’ve read so far, only these couples have matured and grown in their love for one another. The Fitzgerald Clan is growing by leaps and bounds. I’m sure one day we might be reading stories about those kids. Well maybe one or two of them anyway. So though all these books are stand alone books, I would never suggest anyone read them out of order. I love these books and I feel like I’m growing with them all. Kudos to Ms. Walters for that feeling that she’s given me. I don’t feel like I’m a voyeur in their family, but rather that I’m a part of it. So would I recommend this book? I’m beginning to wonder if this isn’t a redundant question by now….I’m sure you can figure out the answer to that well enough. Just know that the couple in this is combustible and it’s hawt. So no kiddos reading it.
FOREVER HERS is an extraordinary story that highlights serious issues like abuse, stalking, and abandonment with the gravity they deserve. At the same time, Walters weaves these issues into an interesting narrative centered on the three main characters. This book is one of my favorite of The Fitzgerald Series, mainly because of the way Walters delivers the backstories that shape Eddie, Amy and Raelynn.
The common thread for each of them is a lack of trust having been let down in a major and life altering way. Amy’s distrust is a result of both her fear of Nolan and the heartbreak of having her own parents refuse to believe her about Nolan’s abuse. Eddie has a wall of distrust built around his heart because his mother abandoned him, and he does not believe in love that lasts. Therefore, he avoids the possibility of love completely.
The way Walters writes about the aftermath left in the wake of such serious life events is very plausible and is written in an engaging way. The journey of each character from ingrained distrust to trust and love is enjoyable and fascinating. It is always heartwarming when Walters characters realize they love each other. This is so much more so because of Raelynn and the love she gives to, and gets from, Eddie as a father figure.
All that is left to make this story have a completely happy ending is for Amy and Eddie to resolve the conflict with their parental figures. Of course, Walters delivers here as always. Though those relationships remain in repair, the foundations are built.
Walters has a way of delivering happy endings that rarely feel forced. This story is written masterfully, so I remain captivated throughout.E. B. Walters

After reading all of the Fitzgerald Family books, I was really looking forward to Eddie’s book. Eddie has been everyone’s hero. He has helped every couple in all of the previous books, but we haven’t really gotten the chance to know Eddie. I have been waiting to get that in depth look into him. Once I delved into the story, I fell in love. I mean, what’s not to love about a damaged hero, and Eddie is definitely damaged.
I didn’t know if EB was going to find someone I felt was worthy of Eddie, but she surpassed my highest expectations. I loved Amy and Raelynn. I don’t think the author could’ve created a more perfect family for Eddie. It took him a while and believe me, he hedged forever.
Amy has had it rough. With her abusive ex-husband stalking her again, the drama ensues. There are so many twists and surprises in this story. The author definitely keeps the reader on their toes.
I wanted to give this book 5 stars, but I just couldn’t. I loved the story, but I felt like there was still a lot left unresolved. I wish the epilogue would’ve been more along the lines of how each the Amy and Eddie repaired their relationship with their respective parents. That would’ve been a better ending for me. Instead, I’m left wondering.
Here we are in book 5 of the Fitzgerald family saga. This book has danger, suspense, romance, mystery and even action in it. I loved seeing all the Fitzgerald family members again! I think this was the most dangerous book so far. As far as the romance goes, the sex is hot! It's about time Eddie got himself a girlfriend. He meets Amy Kinkaid and her daughter who are running away from something. We know of Eddie as the cousin in past books who is a cop and helps the other family members out. I am thrilled to see it is his turn to find love.
I have now listened to all 5 books of the Fitzgerald family series by EB Walters. I have to say, I love this author. She is new to me, and I love what I have read so far. I can't wait until book 6 comes out in audio!
The author, EB Walters does a fantastic job on this book and this entire series! She never disappoints me or let's me down. I am thrilled with every audio-book I have listened (read) so far! I love the combinations of genres as it keeps it very interesting! The narrator, Valerie Gilbert, once again does a great job in her delivery of this book, with her multiple voices and accents! Amy's husband is one very scary guy! Great job ladies!!!
Amy has fought long and hard to get away from her abusive husband. after moving away from him she becomes a housekeeper and quickly falls in love with the man of the house. However that does not settle well with her ex-husband and a lot of drama starts to unfold. The storyline is very entertaining while not being completely unique. the narrator didn't amazing job bringing the story to life and pulling you into the story. entertaining read I just wish we knew more about her ex-husband since we just got information on him to settle one part of the chapter. I think it would have been great had he been a bigger player in the story.
