Heithar, the witch from 'The Wood Sprite's Tale' is recovering from her defeat at the hands of Serena. She comes across the kingdom of Hamshire, where the young virgin princess (Lily) is preparing to marry the prince of Greystone (Fernand) after a long courtship. While the narration speaks from different perspectives, it focuses mainly on Heithar as schemes to destroy the royal family and take over both kingdoms.

This book is more adult than the first one. I actually enjoyed it a bit more because the characters seemed more developed. Thus it was easier to feel sympathy for Lily and Fernand as they try to figure out how to defeat the witch. Like the first book, the story is both unique and unpredictable.

There was a little bit of awkwardness in some of the scenes and there are places that could use some editing. But overall, I enjoyed this short story and look forward to reading the next one.

This book does contain a sex scene that I would say is not appropriate for the younger audience which is a lot more than the first book which I would have deemed for the younger audience.

Wow this evil witch will not stop will she? You would think she would have learned her lesson from the first book but no she is at it again. Only this time her focus is on a soon to be queen and king who will have a kingdom to rule. The witch is determine to be number one and she will do whatever it takes even if that means being manipulative or killing those that stand in her way. I enjoyed how we focused on Heither in this book more than just trying to defeat her as we did in book one. I can not wait to read book three and see how or if she will be defeated.

There is great promise to this story, it's actually a really good one. The title is actually a quite appropriate one because the real one gets replaced by an evil witch. Did like the bits of romance for the young couple who are there at the beginning of the book. They were actually cute. They are also the ones that first noticed that the queen wasn't herself. There are a few places in the book that could have used a little more fleshing out to fully tell the story. I'm not sure it would take a lot to have a denser and more well rounded story. It's a fairly quick read as it stands though, felt there was a good flow throughout.

This story takes place after The Wood Sprite's Tale , and it is partly told from the witch, Heither's point of view. Heither is plotting revenge and is up to no good. Lilly and Fernand are preparing for their upcoming wedding. I think I was liking this short story better than the first one, The Wood Sprite's Tale. The story drew me in and I was immediately curious as to where it was going, so I had to continue reading. It is another fast paced story. There are a few editing and grammar errors but other than that it was really good.

This book threw me off at first because it is different from the first. Then I realized it was about the evil queen. Great story leading up to her evil ways and explaining how she got where she was in the first book. At times I wanted to reach through and come her! Can't wait for the 3rd and final book to see how it all comes together! Great job Rachelle Redd!

Lilly is one day going to be queen, but at what cost? The evil witch has decided payback would be hers at any cost. The story does end abruptly leaving you with many questions. This short story does have a good fast paced story line. WaAR

Book two to the Wood Sprite's Tale. The villainous witch, Hiethar, is back and wants revenge. It was different from what I was expecting but in a good way. The book was fast pace and had some twist that I didn’t see coming, though I still enjoyed the book.
