Gamble True isn't your ordinary twenty-two year old Texas girl. She's been on her own, and on the move, since she was fifteen. Even worse- she's a vigilante. Not your average, garden-variety vigilante either. Gamble has some special talents; talents that allow her to stalk and take down the worst sort of prey. But soon she'll find that something is stalking her...something even worse than she is. And to make matters worse, she'll have to accept the presence of a family she didn't know she had, and learn to use talents she's always suppressed and denied to have the slightest chance of surviving...

This is a good series. There is no swearing, no sex. The main character is a woman that is trying to find herself with many obstacles to get through. I have never read a book with shadow walkers. This book is interesting. I am happy that this is a series to see where it goes.

I have recommended this book and series to friends. I would also say this book could be read by 13-15 age level and be fine. There are a lot of elements in the book that are not of the norm. Physics, shape shifter's, elemental's, and shadow walkers. It is not a sappy love story, but there is a friendship that turns into something more.
