OK, first and most important!
The smexy times in this book are hot! Flammable!
OK now I can move on :D
The story is about Abbie, a reporter, on the run from some bad guys, and she ends up in Jack Winter's airplane doing an interview on him
The pilot has a heart-attack and they crash in a jungle somewhere :D
Now, remember that movie, "Six days, seven nights"? Weeeell, this kind of reminded me of that one :D Me likey :)
Anyway, Jack, Abbie, Kevin and another guy who's so irritating I didn't even remember his name, are going through the jungle trying to find help somewhere.
BTW, just have to mention this one...
Imagine this situation: You're in a plane that's stuck and about to fall waaaaaaaaaay down, you just experienced a plane crash, saw a dead body, and have to go down and jump from the plane and save yourself, BUT somehow, you seem to be able to feel some sexual attraction and get all hot and bothered while you're preparing to jump down? Hmm? I. Think. Not.
I mean, I can't say I ever experienced something like that, but I know what fear does to you, and in a situation like this? You wouldn't feel tingles if your breast accidentaly touched his arm. Jeez.
That's done, moving on with the story
They're in the jungle, and lots of dangers and animals are about. Jack and Kevin are in charge, and in one situation they go to find food/wood/something and Jack tells Abbie to bury the remains of the snake they ate so the predators wouldn't smell it and come to them. She. Forgot.
And of course, a predator came and it was scary and whatever.
Then later, she went to bathe and found a puddle somewhere (a deep puddle, but still, somewhere in the jungle, whatever puddle it might be, who knows what's in there??). Anyway, instead of a quick rinse/clean, she decides to take a bath, removes her clothes and goes in to soak a bit. 
Suffice to say, there was another unfortunate incident
The rest of the story goes about in the city, after they are rescued, and they can't stop thinking of each other :D
The characters
This is how I saw Jack:
He's a Hollywood actor, one of the best, a bad boy, kinda naughty, and is into kinky stuff :) Yum :) eheheheh Although, he constantly kept saying he has a dark side, he's into heavy serious stuff, and so on, that I thought there was gonna be some serious BDSM in this one. Nope. It was all pretty standard stuff, a bit of bondage and spiced up sex, well, there was only one scene where he "lets loose" and spanks her with lots of stuff hahahah hand, cane, flogger and stuff :D But other than that? Not very intense at all. But HOT! Oh my was it hot :D I just melted at some scenes, oh the one with the webcams
Anyway, I liked him a lot :D
This is how I saw Abbie:
She's supposed to be some kick-ass reporter, but shows very little brain in the book. Her idiotics really got on my nerves
But later she was OK I guess :)
Anyway, I loved the chats they had on the internet :D those were great :D And I really enjoyed this book, even with all the OMG's and all hahahahah so if you want a smexy read, grab this one, and just try not to take it too seriously :D

5 blisteringly hot stars!
Here's my confession:
It was the the last day of 2012, and I was looking for a quick, fun read to tide me over until a book I had pre-ordered was released the following day. The reviews for The Pleasures of Winter were all over the place, but I decided to give it a shot anyway after watching an entertaining interview with the 2 Irish authors who co-wrote the book under the name "Evie Hunter".
All I can say is, holy yowza, batman!
Yes, this book falls firmly into the "What to read after Fifty Shades of Grey" category, but in my opinion...and pay attention to me here, people...This book blows Fifty Shades out of the water.

Meet Jack Winter.
A Hollywood badass, who's life growing up in Ireland is as murky as a London fog. Enter hard-nosed journalist Abbie, who manages to awaken the 'darker' (aka kinkier) side of Jack's personality. One that he is desperately trying to keep hidden as he attempts to land the movie role of a lifetime.
Throw in a plane crash, a danger-filled trek through a jungle, enough sexual chemistry to light up Manhattan for a week & some mighty interesting new ways to use ice chips and ginger root, and you have a recipe for one helluva sexy ride!
Jack Winter...oh, let me count the ways in which I love thee.
Simply put, Jack is everything I wish Christian Grey had been, and so much more. All wrapped up in a cross between Colin Farrel & Hugh Jackman looking package. I mean, seriously? How the hell could you go wrong with that?
The D/s relationship here is sooo much more believable and intense than in FSOG. Jack and Abbie's BDSM lifestyle, while still more 'vanilla' than most (*cough* or so I have been told.), is much more realistic than the uber-watered down version found in FSOG and most of it's clones.
Jack picked her up and set her on her feet. He pulled her against his chest, using one hand to tilt her head back. "Did I hurt you?"
"No, you didn't hurt me."
A wicked grin dispelled his serious expression.
"Would you like me to?"
Now, as to the aforementioned chemistry between Jack and Abbie?! Off. The. Charts. I have read my fair share of erotica in 2012 (probably a lot more than my fair share to be honest lol), but I can honestly say, the scenes between these two were probably some of my all time favorites. These Irish gals know how to write some intense love scenes, let me tell you! And not just the actual sex scenes, but the flirty banter as well. One of my absolute favorite parts of this book were the IM discussions. It starts off as Abbie wanting to talk to a Dominant to try and understand her submissive side, and these 'D/s counseling sessions' are incredibly fun and sexy...even before Abbie finds out that she has in fact been chatting with Jack the whole time. All of these scenes make the reader well aware of the fact that when these two finally do hook up....look out!

Yes, the whole b-story involving the drug lords she was digging into for an article and their pesky habit of trying to kill her was a bit silly and unnecessary. But you know what? I don't really care. Because there were so many other things that I absolutely loved about this book that it's easy to overlook something minor like that. Where as in a book I enjoyed a lot less, it probably would have had me rolling my eyes into the back of my head. But here? Eh...whatever.
So, as you might have guessed...I unabashedly adored this book. While I do enjoy finding an awesome stand-alone book, I have to admit...i kind of wish I had more kinky adventures with Mr Winter to look forward to. ;)
**Side Note**
There is a super-short novella (that is more like an extra scene) called
A Touch of Winter which should be read after this book. It's hot & sweet and i recommend it as well. :)

"Bad girl." Jack withdrew his fingers and pressed them to his mouth. "Hot, sweet little Abbie. I can see that you're going to need a lesson about who's in charge here."
"Oh, Ms Marshall. You are a sight for sore eyes". Jack's Irish accent made her nipples peak. "I'm going to taste every inch of you."
"I am not your girl."
"oh baby, you will always be my girl."
"Abbie, if you come in, you know what will happen? Tonight won't be feathers and velvet. It's going to be leather and bruises and hard fucking. If that's not what you want, go away now. Come back tomorrow."
"Jack," her voice shook. "I want that, too."

He grabbed her and pulled her tightly against his chest. "In my dreams," he agreed, his voice dropping to a growl. "And in every waking minute too."
At heart she was a vanilla and feathers girl, and he was leather and steel.

ARC from Penguin Ireland via Net Galley for review.
As soon as I read that the leading man in this story was an Irishman, I knew he would be mine...for a few hours, anyways. What I didn't expect was to read a book with a great little plot and wonderful supporting secondary characters. This turned out to be a great little surprise!
The book starts with journalist Abbie running from some drug lord's thugs and jumping onto the plane of a Hollywood A list star. Jack, the Hollywood Hottie, and Abbie immediately smolder with sexual tension and then proceed to just piss each other off for the next fifty pages. Well, we all know where sexual tension and anger lead to, especially when one of the grumpies is a practicing Dom. Big cliche' here, but eh, pppfffft...what do you do? Not only is Jack a Dominant, but he sees the potential for Abbie to be a little submissive. Of course, the outspoken and intelligent woman does NOT see herself in that sort of role, so it takes a bit of convincing. I'm wondering how often this happens...Dom meets woman, wants her body bent over his knee, and proceeds to form her into his perfect sub.
From a trek through a vast jungle wilderness to the concrete jungles of NYC and LA to the gorgeous fairy tale of Ireland, I was in love with the scenery! The story never got stagnant, because it was always moving to a new location and the plot itself was always moving forward.
Abbie was a great heroine...believable in her ignorance of the D/s lifestyle only because she didn't seem stupid about it. She knew what it was, but felt it a bit demeaning. It takes Jack showing her that his paddles and bondage are a way for them both to open up and be completely honest with each other. Jack is a bit of a tortured soul himself and doesn't necessarily practice what he preaches, which causes some major roadblocks to pop up between he and Abbie.
While I really enjoyed the book, I thought that the BDSM aspect was way too light for this to really be touted as that type of novel. The threat for punishment and hard core kink was always simmering, but Jack never delivers, and I was disappointed. This was VERY light bondage and a ton of spanking/paddling, etc. Another thing that bothered me were a couple of minor plot holes...things that the author sort of threw in late in the book that sort of came out of the blue and were never fully explained. Nothing major, but it did create a little hiccup for me.
I was headed for a three star, but after finishing, and contemplating it for a bit, I realize that I enjoyed the story enough for a four. I kept wanting to read without getting bored and at the end, I really was rooting for Abbie and Jack. Let's hope he puts his weenie Dom foot down some more in the future!!

This is the story of Jack and Abbie. Jack is Irish and a famous Hollywood movie star, known for his womanising and devastatingly handsome looks. Abbie is a respected news-reporter and a New York trust-fund baby.
They are both in Honduras, Jack wrapping up a film production and Abbie covering a political story but she’s upset some dangerous people and needs to get out of the country fast and manages to pull some journo strings and hitch a ride on Jack’s private jet. Unfortunately for them, the pilot suffers a mid-air heart attack and they crash into the jungle. All but the pilot survive and their group spend 4 days battling the wilderness to get back to civilisation. The pressure cooker environment brings out sides to their personalities that they are normally able to hide and it soon becomes apparent to Abbie that Jack has some fairly dark sexual proclivities and, shockingly, that these push all the right buttons for her.
After returning to their normal lives, Abbie decides to explore D/s a little further and Jack cannot resist the promise of Abbie as a submissive and they soon agree to a contract and their relationship swings into action. This is the basic synopsis.
I had a few problems with Jack – there were plenty of times when he wasn’t being completely honest with Abbie despite demanding absolute honesty from her. He lies by omission – something he promises will result in a severe punishment if she does that to him. I think that made him a bit of a hypocrite and a relationship like this relies heavily on mutual trust and I’m not really sure Jack was playing fair. He was, however, a pretty sexy dom and he managed to top Abbie well with some pretty sizzling results! He also had some pretty surprising survival skills which got them safely out of the jungle – supposedly learnt from a part he had played.
I really did like Abbie a lot and enjoyed her slow awakening as a submissive. Jack, being a movie star, is wealthy enough to have a well-equipped playroom in his Los Angeles home and they do share some very hot BDSM scenes together and some pantie-melting online erotic play. Danger has followed Abbie from Honduras and there is some mild suspense although this part of the story is left unresolved and, I assume, to be picked up once more in a sequel.
I think their story probably has a long way to go yet and I am guessing that this is the start of a series. There’s a rich collection of characters and a sweet secondary romance between their respective best friends.

Cover & Title - 4 out of 5
Favorite Line - "And was he - I mean, was there any activity in the horizontal salsa department? Oh come on Abbie. I am a visual person, I need details." "Is that a clinical term - horizontal salsa?"
Favorite Character - Abbie.
*Fans self* The book was deliciously titillating! I loved the characters & the story. Once i had started reading I got lost in the story and did not want to stop. There were so many elements to the story, I loved all the twists, surprises & uncovering the truth. I also love the sex scenes, they were seriously steamy, i do not believe i will ever be able to look at a feather again without feeling dirty!
"The first lunge was mind-blowing. He possessed her so completely, it was like nothing she had ever know before. Her nerve endings felt as if they would melt under so much pleasure."
I was having some serious envy issues during this book, i found myself wish Jack was real & teaching me how to be a good girl :)

This is the first book I’ve read reportedly in the same category as Fifty that was right. Although this has a fifty flavor, this book stood on its own. My only complaint is how it ended. It was a little too quick and abrupt. Amazing otherwise.

What do you get when you cross a news journalist who's stranded in a foreign country with a super hot Mega Movie star? A freaking recipe for adventure and one hot, sexy story!
When news journalist, Abbie, gets stranded in Honduras while working on a story, the last thing she expects is to meet a super sexy leading actor like Jack Winter. After talking to her editor about getting a flight out to Miami, he tells her that her only chance of getting home is to hitch a ride with Jack, which he's secured her an interview, but she must run to catch the plane. Having found herself in trouble while in Honduras, she literally has to ditch some extra baggage before falling into Jack's plane, where she learns she wasn't really expected. Things go from bad to worse quickly when the plane goes down somewhere in the rainforest and they are forced to trek their way to safety in search of help. I honestly don't know how the girl did it! That right there was almost enough to make me stop reading this book! EWWW! But I kept reading because of Jack! His little powers of persuasion were sooo convincing. And the rules...oh my, those rules of his! SMH I thought Christian Grey was demanding! Nope! Move over baby...there is a new Dom in town! Where do I sign up?
The chemistry between these two from the beginning was off the charts! The passion and romance was H-O-T....HOT! The amount of BDSM that was included in the book itself was so minute. If you are looking to break into the BDSM genre, this is probably a good book to do that with. Jack explains everything to Abbie, as she is new to the scene too.
Overall, I think the authors did a great job with this one. The story itself was very well written. It grabbed my attention from page one and held it all the way through to the end. Jack and Abbie were amazing characters. The minor characters blended well with the main ones. Not one beat was skipped. For me, personally...feathers will hold a whole new meaning from this point forward. ;o)
And if there happens to be a book 2 in the future...you can bet your sweet little behind that I will be waiting OTK for Jack! haha

I was offered a copy of this book through Net Galley. So I signed up for Net Galley to get this book. Feel special Evie Hunter.
This book was marketed using the comment "If you liked 50 Shades..." Ugh. I have not read 50 Shades and so this tells me NOTHING. Promotion people...for all books...please stop using it.
But once I got past that, I have to say, I REALLY enjoyed this book! It was mid-grade on the heat and kink scale for me. So those who want romance and angst will LOVE this book.
I am not an outdoorsy gal. And the way this book was written, I was dreaming of going out and eating grubs just so I can get spanked in a cave. There are some BDSM scenes, but nothing in here really pushed me, so I don't have any triggers to list.
The major break up issue was resolved a bit to easy to be realistic, but it made the book an easy very enjoyable read. The heroine kept thinking about her situation in news headlines and I thought it was a cute touch.
Some of the things in this book that made me pause were how quickly our heroine went from being completely Vanilla, to "beat me with a cane" submissive. She also IMO hadn't really consented to her first punishment. Our couple gets pretty personal while our heroine is still engaged to another man. Not cool. And our hero left the room while his sub was tied up. Isn't that a big no-no? A big case of insta-love going on as well.
By now you are probably thinking...why the hell is this book 4 stars?!?! Because I could not put it down. I enjoyed reading it. Despite things that I had to accept or go with the flow, this book held my attention and had me dying to jump back into it. I think this book had a strong classic romance style. The story arc was well laid out and the words just took me along for a ride.
I fell in love with our couple, and wanted for them to have happy slappy sex together forever. It made me smile and made me happy to read it. I would pick up another book by this author in a heartbeat. Great voice.
The cover might seem to be styled to imitate a certain best seller as well, but now that I have read it, the floating feather makes me smile.
Recommend highly to romance lovers who want a little kink thrown in. Spanking enthusiasts, and people who enjoy a couple thrown together in extreme circumstances will also enjoy this one.

I am not really sure where to start with this review. I have so much in my head that I want to say but nothing comes out. The Pleasures of Winter is one of those rare books that has stolen my heart, my mind and my soul. Yip I loved it that much. I was hooked from page one right up until the last page. I got so caught up within the story that I was actually heartbroken when the book finished because I didn't want it to end.
The Pleasures of Winter isn't like most erotica fiction I have read. Usually with this genre you get full on sex from the first chapter but this isn't like that. We actually get an amazing story before all that happens. A story that is thrilling and exciting. Our two main characters Abbie and Jack, the chemistry between them is electrifying. Abbie is drawn to Jack and visa versa even though they are polar opposites to each other. Abbie is a strong, independent journalist with a jobthat is dangerous. She is smart and funny but flawed like any human being. Jack, oh sweet lord. Jack Jack Jack I think I loved him before I even started the book. Why? He is Irish! I can't help myself it's that accent. Mother May I! With his sexy looks and charms that no woman can resist. He is a hollywood bad (Colin Farrell anyone ?? lol) He is obsessed with Abbie and he is falling hard. You can't help but root for them.
The plot is quite simply perfect. It has the right mix of adventure, excitement and steamy sex that just blends in perfectly. The opening of the story is fast paced and exciting, with Abbie trying to escape bad guys who are after her. She finds herself on a plane with Jack and them crashing into a rainforest. At first I was like is this really a naughty read? I wasn't used to having a proper non erotic plot line. But there are hints throughout the beginning that is just the right amount of teasing to get the reader excited for find out more.
I am trying to do this book justice and it just won't happen. It blew my mind, so much so I am actually struggling to convey just how much I loved it. One of the big things I loved about this is that fact it is told from both Abbie's and Jack's POV. Now usually I am not the biggest fan of POV changes but for this is works. You get inside both the characters heads and that is very important for me. I like to be able to feel a connection to a character to really appreciate the story and I sure did here.
Evie Hunter is actually two authors and what a wonderful team! The two authors have created a flawless, exciting and down right steamy read that will stay with you long after your finish. And that is a sign of perfect book to me. I highly recommend. If you like your naughty read, then The Pleasures of Winter is one NOT to be missed.

That feather represents a certain scene (no spoilers) and if you have read the book you know what scene I am refering to. STEAMY
I enjoyed this book, and could not stop reading!!!! Jack Winter starts off as such a jerk! By the end you cant help but cheer for him!!!
There are some very steamy moments, and i like that he starts out with messaging her and she has no idea!! The characters are very likable, the Best friend i LOVE her.
Abbie is like able, and the whole book i really wanted to know what was going on with the "bad guys" could have used a little more into that story. I loved her feelings towards the new life she was embarking on she was scared and her emotions were believable.
I love all the little attention to details that the book had.

Abbie Marshall is being chased by dangerous men after uncovering some political secrets. Secrets someone is determined to keep. Trapped and scared in a Honduras airport, she is desperate to find a way to get home. Her timing couldn’t have been any more perfect as her editor has set up an exclusive interview with Jack Winter, a famous movie star who happens to be leaving the same airport at the exact same moment Abbie needs to escape.
After hopping on Jack’s plane, she meets Jack and is immediately drawn to his gorgeous good looks and his bad boy attitude. Jack was accompanied by his best friend Kevin and his agent Zeke Bryan. However, just when Abbie thought she was safe and secure and going home, the pilot has a heart attack and the plane crashes into the rainforest. Jack is forced to take control and use the skills he learned while filming another movie.
After the crash, the four of them take off in the jungle with the hope of finding civilization and being rescued. During this time in the jungle, Abbie is forced to rely on Jack for help. As they continue their journey in the rainforest, Jack and Abbie become close and form a bond. However, Abbie has a fiancé waiting for her back home. And she is determined to not let the sexy, dominating Jack Winter interfere with her life—a life that has basically been mapped out for her by her parents and her fiancé, William’s, parents. Abbie keeps trying to put Jack out of her mind but Jack is not someone you just forget, with his dark hair, piercing blue eyes, and domineering personality. Especially when he decides you need a spanking when you’ve been bad.
Once they’ve been rescued, and are back in the states, Abbie wants to put all thoughts of Jack out of her mind. Jack doesn’t want to forget about Abbie but, knowing he can’t have her because she’s taken, he moves on with his life as a Hollywood movie star. Will they be able to forget their time together in Honduras? The attraction they have for one another continues to linger. And because of this, they find their way back to one another.
"Bad girl." Jack withdrew his fingers and pressed them to his mouth. "Hot, sweet little Abbie, I can see that you're going to need a lesson about who's in charge here."
What I liked about this story is Abbie. She was in complete denial of her submissive side when she met Jack, but after Jack put her over his knee in the jungle, she couldn’t stop thinking about it. And this made her realize how much she liked having someone dominate her. Now that she’s had a taste of BDSM, she is no longer able to go back to her boring and stale relationship. She wants more. So she decides to discover her submissive side and explore the BDSM world. I like that Abbie stayed true to herself but was willing to explore her kinky side. And when the going got tough with Jack, she stood up to him. She may be submissive in the bedroom but she isn’t Jack’s doormat. Good girl.
What I didn’t like about this story is that I couldn’t make any kind of emotional connection with Abbie and Jack’s relationship. This really bothered me. I felt disconnected and bored. I shouldn’t have been bored when Jack and Abbie would have sexy times together but I was. I’m not sure if it was me or if it was the story. But I honestly just could not get into it.
Another problem I had was Jack. He claimed that he wanted honesty, right from the beginning, but he wasn’t up front and honest about himself. It bugged me that he demanded honesty from Abbie and threatened punishment if she didn’t give it to him. But Jack never reciprocated his demands. He kept things from her and when she wanted answers, he ran. I lost a little bit of respect for Jack because of this.
The sex scenes are pretty hot, maybe slightly on the vanilla side as far as hardcore BDSM is concerned. But being that Abbie is just discovering her submissive side, Jack didn’t push her too far. I can see the D/s relationship moving up another level in the next book. I’m going to assume there are more books in this series since the storyline wasn’t completed wrapped up at the end.
I may just be nitpicking here but, when writing an American character, I think the grammar should be used correctly. Americans do not speak or write words like color or favorite using “ou” – e.g. favourite and colour. Also, words like trousers instead of pants and jeans, lounge instead of patio, are used. I know, this sounds like I’m picking on the authors but I’m not trying to. But I did feel like it was distracting as I was reading.
Overall, I think some erotica readers will enjoy this book even though it didn’t work for me. And even though I didn’t completely love this story, it does have enough potential to make me curious enough to read the next book.

I’ll be honest when I say I’d never heard of The Pleasures of Winter before the publishers approached me to review it. It’s a debut novel by two authors who use the pseudonym name of Evie hunter and it’s being advertised for fans of Fifty Shades of Grey and Bared to You – both which are a favourite of mine, and I have to say, the marketing on this book is spot on. The Pleasures of Winter is high up there with my favourites!
Abbie Marshall is a risk-taking reporter who travels all over the world looking for dangerous stories to uncover. While on the run from her current story, Abbie needs to flee Honduras and the only way to get out of there is to try and talk her way onto a private plane which is carrying Jack Winters, a famous movie star. However things don’t go to plan and the plane crashes into the rainforest and Abbie is stranded with Jack and his crew. As they battle their way out of the rainforest – Abbie and Jack try and fight their attraction for one another but Jack does things to Abbie that no other man has ever done and makes her feel things that she’s never felt before. Soon Abbie and Jack are in deep with each other but can they survive the secrets that the other hides?
Wow did this book take me by surprise. I’ve been looking for something similar to Fifty shades and Bared to You for a while and this book is definitely up there with them. The story oozes with sexual tension, passion and heat and, let’s not forgets the hot and steamy scenes. With BDSM being theme of this story, I felt it was done very well. It wasn’t at all over powering and nor did it scare me. I sometimes find BDSM a little scary because it can sometimes be taken to the extreme sometimes but this wasn’t the case with this book. It was very tastefully done and it was very entertaining. There was also some laugh out loud moments too – which I loved because it gave the story the humour it needed. One of the funnier moments within the story was when Abbie and Jack were talking online to each other – I loved it!
I really loved both Abbie and Jack. Both are great characters that bounce off of one another and really complement each other’s personalities. What stood out for me was how willing Abbie was trying to find out about her submissive side – most people, I think would shy away from it but not Abbie. She was really strong to push that side of her – even if in Jack’s words, Abbie’s the worst submissive he’s ever had but still they manage to make it work. Jack’s dominant side isn’t as bad as I was expecting. He does like some hard-core stuff but his feelings for Abbie take priority. I loved how both were willing to try new things that were usually out of their comfort zones and I really did think they made a great couple.
The Pleasures of Winter really was a pleasure to read and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of adult books. And once you finish don’t forget to check out, the short story called “A Touch of Winter” involving Jack and Abbie which is available as an eBook. You really don’t want to miss a very special moment that happens in it!

Abbie and Jack
It was ok. Not horrible but it didn't blow me away Full review to come on Fiction Vixen Book Reviews
Abbie Marshall needs a quick way to get out of Honduras and all the commercial flights are booked. Her editor is able to get her on a charter plane if she agrees to interview celebrity Jack Winter. Because of the controversial matter of her current article and the fact that she has to get out fast she jumps at the flight even if it means doing a fluff piece like celebrity gossip.
Once on the plane she quickly realizes that Jack is no fluff piece. His charisma and darkness draw her like no other man has ever done. She has a fiancée back home but he is no comparison to the enigmatic Jack Winter. When she tries to do the interview with him he shuts her down because he is tired and has no desire to talk. Plus Jack thinks that Abbie needs to be taught a little lesson about respect and he is all about teaching lessons.
Several minutes in to the flight Jack realizes that something is wrong. He enters the cockpit to find the pilot having a heart attack. Jack has minor flight training so he is able to crash-land the plane but they are still stuck in the middle of a rain forest with no quick way out.
Eventually Jack, Abbie and company make it back to civilization and move on with their lives. Abbie and Jack cannot stop thinking about the other though and they find their way back to each other. With the signing of the BDSM contract they enter into a relationship with no limits.
The first 25% of the book had me rolling my eyes in disgust. Abbie was the epitome of TSTL. Every action she took made me want to punch her. She was dumb just for the sake of being dumb. I don’t know if it was the author’s way of arousing Jack’s dominant instincts or if Abbie just annoyed me? All I know is that after 25% the characters were not growing on me and I wasn’t sure I would enjoy the rest of the book.
Once they were back in civilization the book turned around for me. The online communication between Jack and Abbie was very well done. It was hot and got me right back into the book. And it was only around the 50% mark where Abbie found out it was Jack she was talking to. I like that the author did not string us along with the main characters not knowing about each other.
I did have several other issues with the book though. Abbie starts her D/s quest looking for revenge on Jack. Once she meets her online buddy, who is Jack though she doesn’t know it, there is never really a mention of that revenge again. When the story about Jack comes to light he immediately assumes it was her that spilled everything even after running into his vindictive acquaintance the night before. Abbie and Jack has shared an incredible night together and he automatically assumes betrayal from her side. I never got why he jumped all over that. And really so what that it got out? If we are being honest, that is all the rage these days. What was the huge deal such that it would destroy his career?
Also the suspense plot with the people from Honduras was kind of a not needed add on. I was more interested in what was happening between Jack and Abbie than those Honduras people. I know the plot needed a reason for her to be in Honduras but I think the rest of the story could have carried itself without the extra suspense. Jack and Abbie plus their issues was enough for me without the addition of a superfluous bad guy.
Finally I thought the ending was a little abrupt and I didn’t like how Abbie chased Jack instead of the other way around. That is just my feeling though. I am big on the epilogue and if there isn’t a second book for this couple I wanted more sappiness and more HEA to feel the closure. I kind of felt like I was left hanging. Give me babies and wedding rings any day. Hopefully there will be a second books so I can have my closure.
Several times during the book Jack refers to himself as dark BDSM but I didn’t really see too much of that. I don’t think they ever went past heavier light BDSM, if that makes sense. Abbie is definitely more vanilla and it was good to see Jack push her. The sex was hot and worth the page time. I think Jack is pretty yummy and would have liked to see him let loose some more. But what we did get was pretty smokin’. I have no complaints with those parts of the book.
Overall, it was an ok book. It didn’t blow me away but I liked it enough to look for more from this author. I sincerely hope we get another book with Abbie and Jack. I don’t feel like their story was finished. Final grade- C+

Abbie Marshall needs a quick way to get out of Honduras and all the commercial flights are booked. Her editor is able to get her on a charter plane if she agrees to interview celebrity Jack Winter. Because of the controversial matter of her current article and the fact that she has to get out fast she jumps at the flight even if it means doing a fluff piece like celebrity gossip.
Once on the plane she quickly realizes that Jack is no fluff piece. His charisma and darkness draw her like no other man has ever done. She has a fiancée back home but he is no comparison to the enigmatic Jack Winter. When she tries to do the interview with him he shuts her down because he is tired and has no desire to talk. Plus Jack thinks that Abbie needs to be taught a little lesson about respect and he is all about teaching lessons.
Several minutes in to the flight Jack realizes that something is wrong. He enters the cockpit to find the pilot having a heart attack. Jack has minor flight training so he is able to crash-land the plane but they are still stuck in the middle of a rain forest with no quick way out.
Eventually Jack, Abbie and company make it back to civilization and move on with their lives. Abbie and Jack cannot stop thinking about the other though and they find their way back to each other. With the signing of the BDSM contract they enter into a relationship with no limits.
The first 25% of the book had me rolling my eyes in disgust. Abbie was the epitome of TSTL. Every action she took made me want to punch her. She was dumb just for the sake of being dumb. I don’t know if it was the author’s way of arousing Jack’s dominant instincts or if Abbie just annoyed me? All I know is that after 25% the characters were not growing on me and I wasn’t sure I would enjoy the rest of the book.
Once they were back in civilization the book turned around for me. The online communication between Jack and Abbie was very well done. It was hot and got me right back into the book. And it was only around the 50% mark where Abbie found out it was Jack she was talking to. I like that the author did not string us along with the main characters not knowing about each other.
I did have several other issues with the book though. Abbie starts her D/s quest looking for revenge on Jack. Once she meets her online buddy, who is Jack though she doesn’t know it, there is never really a mention of that revenge again. When the story about Jack comes to light he immediately assumes it was her that spilled everything even after running into his vindictive acquaintance the night before. Abbie and Jack has shared an incredible night together and he automatically assumes betrayal from her side. I never got why he jumped all over that. And really so what that it got out? If we are being honest, that is all the rage these days. What was the huge deal such that it would destroy his career?
Also the suspense plot with the people from Honduras was kind of a not needed add on. I was more interested in what was happening between Jack and Abbie than those Honduras people. I know the plot needed a reason for her to be in Honduras but I think the rest of the story could have carried itself without the extra suspense. Jack and Abbie plus their issues was enough for me without the addition of a superfluous bad guy.

OMG..what can I say it took my breath away..It was a truly intimate love story between 2 people that were so different in many way but so alike in there insecurities for one another.what brought those insecurities together was the d/s side of their relationship. I loved Jack he cared so much for Abbie from the start it was so sweet;-)
I loved the interaction between the pair and Abbie feistiness as she fought back n some of his demands
This book was a rollercoaster ride from the start as it began in the jungle then to New York then to his home in L.A and finally ended up in Jacks hometown Dublin.
I laughed ,I cried I got frustrated with Abbie because of the way he was treating her..but as the story went on I got to understand Jack a bit more and realised why he was like this ..he truly loved Abbie..I loved the scene with the feather .Tracing the initial of his real name on her stomach..as he really wanted to open up to her as he trusted her so much

Not gonna lie. The way this beaut started out? Stumbling into an interview... completely unprepared... on her hands and knees... only to meet a total panty pinching, sex on a stick, movie star?? Hmmm, let's just say it had my 50 Shades déjà vu radar dinging a little too loudly.
Buuuuut, as the story progressed, I'd be lying if I didn't say it pulled me and kept a firm a grip throughout :)
I loved that the amount of teeter-tottering back 'n' forth was very limited, and that everything was immediate. This is probably one of my favorite things about non-series books. Everything is just a little more concise and simple :)

This was a lovely/ light read, which I found quite humour and easy to read
This. The story of Abby a journalist who has to interview Jack who's a movie star. Abby is a journalist who live life on the edge, she reports on all the stories that not many others would report, she seems to thrive on dealing with the bad and ugly. She finds herself running from said bad company and lands in Jacks lap, in an attempt to escape with her life intact. Jack just happens to be in the right place at the right time, and her company had wanted an interview with him anyway, so she secures a lift and her life in tact, that is until the pilot suffers a heart at I and Jakes plane goes down in the jungle.
Like I say, I found this book humous, especially when Jake puts Abby over his knee and spanks her for putting herself in danger and not listening to Jake. I love the chemistry between these two. Zac's character just got in my nerves. I realise he'd broke his arm and would have been in extreme pain, but what a selfish, self centred gut, like I say, I know this was the intention if the author, but it didn't stop him being an annoying prick!
I drop a star, as I just found the book so corny, and just not quite enough for me. I wanted Jake just to take Abby in to hand. He starts it at times with the spanking, but then just lets her go. Why not just go for it, he'd over stepped the mark anyway, so why not just tell her. Smashing his own house up, I thought was also very immature.
But over all I did enjoy this book and would definately read it again, even though it was light BDSM, due to Abby not knowing this area of sexual awakening, and having an understanding that this activity would actually interest her with the right person, especially with her being a strong, liberated female who definately knows her own mind.

Reading the description of The Pleasures Of Winter one may just assume it’s yet another 50 shades/bared to you bandwagon book, but it is so much more. I honestly found myself enjoying this book way more than the previously mentioned ones. Yes it sticks to our rich playboy with a ‘dark’ side that includes some heavy BDSM.
Now the big part that makes this different is the way this book starts. I literally could not put it down. Abbie is a news journalist and down in Honduras chasing a great story, but has gotten herself into trouble. In order to escape it she ends up taking a less serious story interviewing Hollywood hot shot Jack Winter on his private jet. This should have been an easy way to get back to the states, but the plane ride takes an unfortunate turn. I would say the beginning is a good lead to how intense the rest of the book is. It’s just a non stop and you won’t want to put the book down.
My only ‘issue’ with the book is like everything else right now it’s a trilogy, but I grew to love Jack and Abbie so much that I’m chomping at the bit to read book two. I’m hoping it breaks away from the formula a bit more for these series though. That is my only problem but honestly it’s not a real problem. I fell in love with the main characters too much to not be excited for book two.
I can almost guarantee that you will love this book if you are into the BDSM playboy turning a new page in his life with an amazing female lead. It’s worth the cash even if you devour it in a day. You will probably be waiting on edge for the second book in the series as well after finishing it. 5 out of 5 stars!

In terms of a BDSM story, this is a bit unusual in that it's a minor part of the book however being a large part of the character development. The characters' relationship builds as a D/s but atypically from typical BDSM sexual practices I've read in other erotica novels. Additionally, the story starts much differently from most other romance novels, but turns out to be a basis for the relationships.
I admit there were continuity issues with the story (What happened to the vibrating plug? Where did her suitcase go? How long did it take for XYZ to happen?), but overall, I liked the story. Because it brought wee tears to my eyes two different times, I'm rating this 4/5 stars and not 3/5 for continuity issues.

Holy hot and smexy read!! I'd say it's a solid 4.5 stars with an extra 1/2 star thrown in there for the simple fact that this book is the first in a long time that had me seriously pissed at RL for taking me away from reading.
Jack Winter went to the top 10 of my book boyfriends super quick. He and Abbie were hot together. The masturbation in the bathroom scene had me literally fanning myself. The BDSM wasn't super intense but was still hotter than hell.
Overall, a great read! Off to read

I enjoyed this book. It is a nice combination of romance and erotica with a little bit of mystery and suspense thrown in. Both Abbie and Jack were well established as characters and went through some development. I wasn’t sure how I felt about Abbie; for me there were too many, conflicting sides to her character. Why would an independent woman, refusing to be intimidated by work-related danger be such a walk-over when it comes to her family and private life? As for Jack, well he appears to be a bit of a stereo-type; a bad-boy, drop dead gorgeous, womanizing Irish actor with a dark and mysterious side. But, I did enjoy the interaction between these two characters and the way in which both of them were taken by surprise by their reactions to each other and the feelings and needs they experienced.
Evie Hunter is the pen name for two Irish authors (Eileen Gormley and Caroline McCall) who decided to work together after discovering a common love for erotica. I haven’t read anything by either of these authors, but that may change. If the standard of this book is anything to go by these are two writers who are very well versed in their craft. The writing flowed easily, the reading was smooth and the story was very well paced. And even if I’ll never get around to checking out the individual authors I know I will be keeping an eye out for other books by their alter-ego.
In short, this is a love story about two unlikely characters being thrown together against the odds and discovering that they are made for each other, and as such it works very well.

I am a bit indifferent about this story. There were parts in this story that I love and some that didn't make sense (I'll get there in a min).
Let's start with the positives. I love the storyline. It was unique--a mixture of "On the Island (1st 25% of book) 50 shades, and Bared to You." I'm not going to rehash the summary since the synopsis did an excellent job. The writing was matured and solid, making it an excellent read w/o being annoyed of grammatical errors. It has the hook,line, and sinker vibe making it hard for readers to stop reading. The story does not have the typical alpha male with tracking compulsion like the other 2 books, but the hero was rather a playful, stubborn, and insufferable ass. Yet, I still fall for him. This book does touch slightly on BDSM, but not to an extreme kinky fuckery like 50shades. The sex scenes were pretty hot but not as boiling point like Bared to You.

Now onto the negatives. There were some aspects of this book that was unrealistic. While I admire the authors for creativity, some of the jungle scenes were unbelievable. Not a big deal though. However, the "love" that was portrayed btw the hero and heroine was not something I can comprehend. For example, the hero is very closed off and have trusting issues. He never speaks about himself when heroine ask him about his background. And the way he freaked out and proclaimed his "I Loved you" to her during the betrayal confrontation makes my eyebrows raised. There was a mismatch of how the character was depicted and the way he communicated. I can't FEEL the love btw these two. Sure, i can understand the attraction and the infatuation but certainly not love. The story lacks events that would allow these 2 to get to know each other and eventually a build up.
Another unrealistic moment was when the heroine chatted with the "D" online. She's an independent, smart woman...a reporter for gosh sake, but she managed to tell a complete stranger of who she is, her family's member names, where she went out, her workplace, her occupation, etc. I understand she is naive and wants to understand what entails a submissive, but by giving your 411 to a complete stranger is not something I would imagine coming from a woman with a strong personality like her.
I hate how the book ended. Not a cliffie (thank freaking gosh), but it left many questions unanswered. I love the thriller aspect of the book and wish the authors spent more time delving in them.
Overall, I did enjoy this book. It was tasteful and a good read, but it fell a bit short. I especially love the first half when they get to know each other. I feel the book was a bit rush towards the end. However, I am certainly waiting for book 2 to see how the story plays out btw these 2.

So this book will draw the inevitable comparisons to 50 Shades of Grey and Bared to You because of its BDSM elements, but it's much more. Oh yes, we have the tortured, alpha-male hero but our heroine is not meek nor damaged. And it's her strength that makes this story so exciting, in my opinion.
Abbie is a sharp and intelligent journalist who isn't afraid of being chased down and threatened by gun-toting drug smugglers or dirty politicians in order to get her story. So when Jack awakens in her desires that would have seemed inconceivable, she approaches her need for knowledge the way she'd approach any story. Yes, her search originally began as a way to punish Jack, but ended in learning much about herself along with creating an indestructible bond with Jack.
Jack, a man who's been running from his past, seems to have it all. He's rich, successful...but lonely. And he finds in Abbie the one person who makes him want to be better, to share all of himself in a way he thought he never would. He never thought to find a woman whom he could share all of his life with, all of himself. It's not an easy road these two travel. There are misunderstandings and trials to overcome. But in the end, love conquers all.
Overall, I was completely enthralled with this novel. My only complaints are that the story Abbie is working on when she first meets Jack is never resolved satisfactorily for me and that the supporting characters aren't as fleshed out as I like. When we first meet Abbie, she's in Honduras working on an investigative report about drug smuggling. There are some truly suspenseful moments in the story where I think something is going to happen with regards to the people who are trying to keep her from telling the story...but it just never happens. The element of Abbie's devotion to her job and her skill at it drew me in to this story and I felt the authors kind of let it fall to the side in deference to the love story. Don't get me wrong...I enjoyed the love story. I appreciated Abbie's desire to learn all she could about this lifestyle she might lead and I enjoyed she and Jack's journey into and through their relationship. And the sex was scorching! I just felt like a piece was left unfinished as far as Abbie's career. I mean, Jack's career is more settled (following scandal) than hers and it was her job that had me thinking "yes, this isn't just a 50 Shades knockoff." Also, although I liked Kit and Kevin, I felt as though they weren't quite as well explored as I'd have liked. (Y'all know I like strong supporting characters!) It is these things that keep me from giving it 5 stars.
Abbie is a sharp and intelligent journalist who isn't afraid of being chased down and threatened by gun-toting drug smugglers or dirty politicians in order to get her story. So when Jack awakens in her desires that would have seemed inconceivable, she approaches her need for knowledge the way she'd approach any story. Yes, her search originally began as a way to punish Jack, but ended in learning much about herself along with creating an indestructible bond with Jack.
Jack, a man who's been running from his past, seems to have it all. He's rich, successful...but lonely. And he finds in Abbie the one person who makes him want to be better, to share all of himself in a way he thought he never would. He never thought to find a woman whom he could share all of his life with, all of himself. It's not an easy road these two travel. There are misunderstandings and trials to overcome. But in the end, love conquers all.
Overall, I was completely enthralled with this novel. My only complaints are that the story Abbie is working on when she first meets Jack is never resolved satisfactorily for me and that the supporting characters aren't as fleshed out as I like. When we first meet Abbie, she's in Honduras working on an investigative report about drug smuggling. There are some truly suspenseful moments in the story where I think something is going to happen with regards to the people who are trying to keep her from telling the story...but it just never happens. The element of Abbie's devotion to her job and her skill at it drew me in to this story and I felt the authors kind of let it fall to the side in deference to the love story. Don't get me wrong...I enjoyed the love story. Eccomi di fronte ad un libro a due facce e ad un giudizio fastidiosamente spaccato.
Questo “The Pleasure of Winter “(in effetti preferivo il titolo originario, che giocava sul cognome di Lui) ha una prima parte avvincente e davvero divertente, con la giornalista che si ritrova nella jungla, dopo un disastro aereo, insieme a due sexy fustacchioni irlandesi e a una moltitudine di pericoli, dai ragni ai serpenti velenosi. Uno dei due ragazzi, poi, è pure Mr. Hollywood, un attore noto per la sua prestanza fisica (“Bicipiti di granito, muscoli scolpiti nella roccia, labbra carnose” – serve altro??) e per il suo caratteraccio.
Ovviamente, tra lei, annoiata dal retaggio della ricca famiglia e dal fidanzato magrolino e noiosetto, e lui, sbruffone e molto più vivace, non può che scatenarsi la scintilla.
Poi tutto si complica, e Abbie, in una settimana, perde fidanzato, lavoro e reputazione.
Già mi preparavo dunque a un proseguo di dialoghi corrosivi e continui scontri dialettici, senonché – è proprio la moda del momento – anche qui c’è il risvolto BDSM.
Eh sì, perché Jack Winter, a quanto pare, è pure un Dom e riconosce a prima vista una Sub (in linguaggio tecnico, una sottomessa) nella malcapitata Abbie, la quale scopre a sua volta di divertirsi come una matta stesa sulle ginocchia di lui a farsi sculacciare il lato B.
Mah! I gusti sono gusti, e in giro c’è (probabilmente) di peggio, ma l’onnipresenza nelle trame di questo lato oscuro e tormentato che deve essere compreso e “guarito” dalla lei di turno comincia lievemente ad annoiarmi.
Insomma, sono credibili dialoghi come questo?
DISCIPLINARIAN: Mi aspetto che tu ti colleghi ogni sera alle dieci in punto, a meno di precedenti accordi in senso contrario. Rispondi a domande dirette con risposte dirette. Non imprecare. C’è qualche punto con cui hai problemi?

In ogni caso la narrazione è godibile e regala una piacevole lettura. Se poi vi piace il BDSM, Jack Winter è un gran pezzo di Dominatore. Avrei voluto dare di più, però il gran finale, dopo tanta esibizione di fruste e corde, scivola un po’ troppo nello scontato, e perde mezza stellina per strada.

I got this as an ARC from Netgalley.
This was more like a 2.5-2.75 stars for me, but I'm rounding up and dreaming of the day when you can assign partial stars.
I'm perplexed by how I feel about this story. Parts of me enjoyed it, parts of me were confused and wanted more, parts of me were completely offended - but I guess that's my fault for reading a book that was described in part by "If you liked Fifty Shades...". Bad Risbee...bad bad Risbee.
Anyhoo...this is the story of secret Dominant movie star Jack and unknowing sub reporter Abbie. Thrown together by chance, their relationship ignites after a plane crash that strands them in a rain forest for 4 days.
Pretty cool premise, but then it gets so random that I'm not sure where to take my review. There is non-consensual spanking that is totally not okay even though Abbie eventually decided that it turned her on and Jack realizes that she is a submissive (how convenient). Throw in a wimpy fiance, overbearing family, a best friend who just happens to be a relationship therapist, mysterious bad guys that are chasing Abbie, evil politicians and an Aunt/Uncle who (again, conveniently) happen to live in Ireland which is where Jack just HAPPENS to be from...and that's pretty much the story.
It was just too...contrived to work for me.
That being said, it was BETTER than Fifty Shades. Abbie does have a bit of a backbone, she is career driven and actually questions what Jack tells her. Aside from the initial spanking incident, Jack takes things relatively slow with Abbie, explaining and making sure she understands all aspects of a D/s relationship.
I'm not sure if this a stand alone book. It could be one, but there were ways it could branch out - Kit and Kevin's story, who's chasing Abbie.... Jack's sister. There were so many things going on that weren't resolved...pieces were just missing in the puzzle. I'm a big fan of less is more and in this case, there is too much "more".

I enjoyed this story. The characters jumped out to me right away and I felt they had a connection on the pages. I am not sure I would compare it to Fifty Shades of Grey as the synopsis (sorta) does because yes it does have D/s BDSM but there is completely different feel to this book then Shades.
The characters are very real and while Jack has money he is not portrayed as the millionaire CEO like most of the BDSM books seem to do. Yes he is rich but he is an actor. I imagine him as a George Clooney type. There is nothing haunting about Jack but there is something charismatic about him. I also liked that Abbie was not a pushover. She is strong-willed and curious but she is a reporter not afraid to go after the hard stories.
Some things that I had a hard time with: first the author is obviously foreign so some of the wording or phrasing did not transfer to read fluently but that was something that is noticed but can be looked over. Second the character of Abbie while in the jungle she is strong willed and independent I had a problem when she was first learning about her submissive side. The first email conversation with the “Disciplinarian” she told him everything about herself including her name, her families names, job, etc... No reporter (or anyone I would hope) would give all that information away to a stranger online. It really made it hard for me to enjoy that portion of the book. Plus for a reporter Abbie seems so dense about the emails. I mean really the emails use the same wording that Jack did in the jungle but she doesn’t think anything of it?
But that is the only parts I had a hard time with. I believe anyone who enjoys this genre will truly enjoy this book. It has everything a D/s story could want.

Abbie Marshall leads a pretty vanilla life outside of her dangerous reporting career. She’s the daughter of wealthy parents and the fiancée of a perfectly boring man.
Jack Winter leads the opposite of a vanilla lifestyle. He’s a Hollywood bad boy with a secret sexual side. He enjoys being the dominant in BDSM sex with submissive partners. That sort of lifestyle isn’t exactly accepted in the mainstream, so he keeps that part of his life private. When Abbie hitches a ride on his plane and they crash in a rainforest the two forge a bond that lasts long after they are rescued and has Abbie rethinking her life and what she really wants out of a partner. Jack is all she can think about.
Jack introduces Abbie to the ins and outs of a Dom/Sub relationship and through that he and Abbie’s relationship grows.
What I loved most about this story, I mean besides the incredible hurts so good sex scenes, was that Jack and Abbie’s relationship, from the start, was so much more than the passion the two evoked. There is that invisible connection that keeps pulling them together and the reader has a front row seat to all of it. Too many times in erotic fiction authors sacrifice plot, storyline, and character development for pages filled with screwing. I need story and emotion with my bedroom game books. This book had plenty of everything.
But, back to the sex…my Goddess, the sex. Sexcapades delivered with a bit o’ pain by a beautiful Irishman. Yum! Everyone should roll around a bit in the Pleasures of Winter. Wickedly Delicious!

Abby works for The New York Independent, she was working on a high profile story when things started to seem not so good and she was in danger. In order to get her home safely, her editor pulled some strings to get her on a private flight with the one and only Jack Winter. The only snag was that she had to interview him...america's golden boy actor...ugh..she was less than thrilled at the idea, but the alternative could be deadly. the plane goes down and Abby and Jack are left to fend for themselves until they are rescued. That is when Jack starts getting under her skin. She starts to fall for him, but Jack has demons and they definitely come out in the bedroom. Abby has to debate on whether she can live with jack's demons or if they are too much for her. All the while, the love she has for him is painful to think of breaking. This was a really great book! The story was like Fifty, but also had it's differences. Jack Winter is hot!!! And I know that I will reread this title again and again!

The Pleasures of Winter was a terrific book. It is a BDSM story, but it is so much more than that. It surprises me every time a read a book of this genre how each author approaches this subject in a different way.
This is a story of a successful young reporter who even with an exciting career was complacent and quite content with her vanilla personal life. Until a series of events shook up her vanilla world, would she set out to find out who she really is. With the help of a friend she would find out so much about herself.
Jack is a Hollywood superstar with a past; had no problems with who he is and what he wanted. Confident, successful, somewhat cocky and only required that his privacy was protected. He will be exactly what Abby needs to discover who she is.
This is a story of self-discovery, love, and trust. The snappy retorts between Jack and Abby from the beginning to the end will have you laughing and smiling from ear to ear.

I was reminded of this because a new book in the series was released for Spring. I never reviewed this and I'm bummed because it deserves one. I suppose I just might have to reread it, which would not be an imposition. It was pretty unforgettable, two strong MCs, a plane crash, she "misbehaves" and gets a spanking and is shocked and outraged, but, of course, she's turned on. Upon being rescued the MCs go back to their lives, but fate has other plans for them and they get their HEA. I wonder why I gave it 4 and not 5 stars. Oh, and there's a short but sweet after story, too.
Anyway, this is a roundabout review, but I highly recommend it.
