Permanent Marker is the second installment in the Kinky Truth Series. In book one, we meet Dacia and her men, David and Kress. Through the course of that story we know Dacia has a difficult relationship with her father who is a senator. Well, Dacia and her father overcome their issues, but I didn't expect to see the father get his own book. Permanent Marker is Senator Mark Moore's story.
Mark Moore has retired from being a Senator with hopes of the presidency after reconnecting with his daughter when her life was in danger. The love of his life died from cancer and he closed himself off in his grief. Now he is ready to let go, but not expecting to find anyone, nor is he looking for anyone to fill the void in his life. When he shows up in Nassau to conduct training on some corporate recruits headed to help Iraq rebuild, he doesn't expect to fall for the first woman who stirs his desires after six dormant years.
Rose Fabian is looking for a second chance. After being left at the alter and being torn down by her family, she just wants to find something that fulfills her. People can be cruel and when Mark steps in to defend, her submissive nature she has been trying to hide flairs its head. But the age gap between them as well as both their social standings, has her warding her heart against him over and over again.
Honestly? I didn't know how I would feel reading a story of an older man who loved his dead wife so much he kind of gave up on his daughter. Dacia I guessed to be in her mid-twenties so I guessed Mark to be in his late 40s early 50s. Now he is ready to let go of his dead wife, but he is also a Dominant. When Mark and Rose share their first kiss, he can feel her submissive need to surrender to him, but she runs and he isn't going to let her run.
I didn't totally buy that saying some naughty things to her fiancé caused him to run or even what she said could be misconstrued as it was. Gee, what couple hasn't dabbled in a little tie me up or kidded about spankings? Being that Rose is from a rich family, she is set as an outcast. Her brother is such a dickwad! He tries to control her and her mother, but neither the brother or mother ever says anything nice to Rose.
Rose really had some issues to get over and Mark takes her in hand and won't give up. Once again there isn't any talk about limits but at least this one didn't push me all the wrong ways. Mark gives he a safeword and expects her to use it.
I really liked this story or redemption. Redemption of Mark from loving a wife so much he gave up on his child almost till it was too late. Redemption of Rose from living under the yoke of society and her family. The two balanced each other in ways that made even my heart sing.
Angel's writing continues to grow as the series goes on. I recommend this book to anyone who wants love to triumph over all no matter of age or sexual kinks. It's a good look into going after what you want, with a spanking thrown in for good measure.

Ms. Payne's writing is phenomenal in PERMANENT MARKER.
Mark Moore mourned his lost love for so long that he forgot what it was like to be happy. He thought his Dominant soul would never again respond to the tender cries of a submissive. He resigned himself to a life in politics, which he had recently given up. In his new gig as a corporate trainer, he hoped that work would occupy his time. What he hadn't anticipated was Rosalind Fabian. She walked into his training class and set him ablaze with a fire that had been extinguished years ago. However, his Dominant could not deny the submissive vibes that emanated from her.
Rosalind "Rose" Fabian has never been lucky in love. With a domineering mother and overbearing brother constantly at her back, making her relive her shortcomings on a daily basis, she only sees herself an abject failure. When she walks into Mark Moore's class, she's not only taken aback by his obvious magnetism, but something inside her seems to awaken. These renewed feelings give her pause, making her think it's just some silly school girl crush. Besides, what could she offer such an older, accomplished man or any man for that matter?
Their undeniable chemistry pushes these two to act upon feelings that neither can deny. Rose blossoms under his masterful hand, and Mark finds his Dominant spark once again. However, Rose can't stop from living in the past and opening up the old wounds that have scarred her for life. But Mark is not one to give up so easily. He sees a light in Rose that he only wants to get closer to. But will his relentless pursuit cause Rose to retreat into her shell, killing any chances of a future together?
The intensity of Rose's submission to Mark is so well written that it played out like a movie in my head. I fell in love with both of these characters from the very beginning. I was totally invested in this story and couldn't wait to get to the next page. The BDSM aspect of this story was nothing short of fabulous. Ms. Payne has a wonderful grasp of this subject, and the writing was simply beautiful. I can't wait to read the next installment in the series. Bravo, Ms. Payne, bravo!

Permanent Marker is the 2nd in the Kinky Truth series it can be read as a stand alone but there will be minor spoilers if you read this before book one "Three Part Harmony".
Six Years is a long time especially when you are mourning your love, your wife, your subbie and a huge part of yourself. Mark Moore lost his wife to cancer 6 years ago and with her he lost the Dom part of himself. He has had no desire to be with anyone since her death. That is until he meets Rose Fabian in a training class he is teaching. Rose has always been made to feel she is the cause of anything and everything bad that ever happens in her family. When her fiance leaves her standing at the altar she finally decides to do something she wants to do and takes the chance at a job going to Iraq to help with the rebuilding efforts. She is in awe of Mark her trainer in class and when they come together she has to learn to understand her need to submit to him like she craves.
I totally fell in love with Mark in this book, a man who had been so devoted to his wife and then is lucky enough to find a woman who is a natural submissive and fascinates him to no end. He is my perfect Dom, he has his amazingly understanding and tender side and he has the wicked pirate side of him who is amazing with a flogger.
Rose I understood but she made me want to shake her for trying to walk away from something and someone as amazing as what she had with Mark. I wont post any spoilers but I will say it all works out in the end.
With a cameo appearance from Dasha, David and Kress Permanent Marker is an amazing ride that will leave you breathless and your panties soaked! I can't wait for the next book in the series (which will be reviewed here on Jan 17th) I loved Three Part Harmony and if it is possible I love Permanent Marker even more.

An insanely intense (in a great way), emotional and erotic BDSM read that will leave you wanting more of the story, characters and the authors writing. Permanent Marker is a definite MUST READ to all fans of the genre. Especially those that enjoy an amazing build to a soul deep relationship.
Rosa is a beautiful, intelligent woman that has very little self-confidence. It’s due to the fact that she’s been put down by those that mean the world to her for a majority of her life. Her confidence begins to change for the better once she meets Mark. He teaches her many amazing things, most of them about herself.
Mark is one intense alpha male/Dom the leaves no room for argument in any given situation. He lost the love of his life many years ago and has just started to live again, to feel. He’s not looking to replace what he has long lost, but when he lays his eyes on Rosa, he feels an instant attraction, a pull and many other feelings that he never thought to feel again.
I plan to read EVERYTHING this author releases and has released. I absolutely love her writing style. I was literally pulled into the story as if I was one of the characters and was not released until the very end. This is one of those stories that stays with you and wants to be reread so you can experience it all over again :)

This book is full of lust, love, need and internal conflict. I am a HUGE Titanic fan. I immediately saw the titanic influence in the book and then to find the author later confirm it was like OMG I KNEW IT !!! Lol…. Yeah I like when I’m right.. Who doesn’t.? I’m also a HUGE GWTW fan so to see a Rhett and Scarlett reference also EXCITED me. I love that the author went outside the AGE rules and gave an age difference to the characters. Mark is not looking for love neither is Rose so when they find each other it’s LUST AT FIRST SIGHT ! Rose can’t control herself when she’s with Senator Sir (Mark). Mark can’t seem to control himself either. When they finally hook up it’s EXPLOSIVE AND MIND BLOWING. Honestly I read a couple of the sex scenes more than once because well they are just THAT HOT. I love when I get so into a book that I block EVERYTHING out. I was that into this story. I started it and when I ended it I was like WHAT I JUST STARTED….. Didn’t realize that I read the entire book in like 2 sittings. This is the second in this series and CAN NOT WAIT read the next installment… GREAT JOB ANGEL!!!!

As soon as Rose walked into the room Senator Mark Moore felt the attraction between them. Was Rose the submissive this dominant man had been waiting for since the death of his beloved Heather?
When reading PERMANENT MARKER, I first felt Rose to be weak, with no self-esteem. A trait I don’t normally like to see in the books I read. Although after reading the book it worked well in telling her background story and explained all the problems she had with family and mostly the men in her life. Her weakness proved a pivotal part of the story in her transformation into being a submissive. A good read.

My Book Addiction And More

Mark was a very sexy and romantic character. I loved how he pursued Rose and tried to win her over. Rose was a good character, but I wished she'd shown a little more gumption where her family was concerned. This was a very sexy and emotional story that really touched me.

De eerste 150 blz had ik geen idee waar het over ging. Daarna begon het verhaal een btje te komen. Because of deel 1 heb ik dit deel toch uitgelezen. Matig, heel matig; 3,5* afgerond naar... 3. Hopelijk is deel 3 weer als deel 1.
