For all 15 years of their lives, Ami and Noa have competed against each other for love with the same results: both fall for the same guy, inevitably scaring him away and leaving them boyfriend-less. But the vicious cycle is broken when the girls go to a party and each fall for two different guys! With potential love on the horizon, the sky couldn't be bluer...until Ami discovers that these two dudes are actually duds with ulterior motives. Determined to get revenge on these players, Ami vows to make her guy fall for her while she trys to protect an unsuspecting Noa!
Nami Akimoto (秋元奈美) is a Japanese author of manga.
Loves traveling to places like Paris, or Italy. Especially if they have museums there, because she likes to draw them in her manga. She also has a younger sister, who sometimes comes along on her adventurous exploits. Loves foreign tea, especially from London.
i was really surprised by this book, and frankly series. while i have only read up to book 5, it ended up possessing a corky charm.
this volume in particular went from boring me to tears and mentally barfing to laughing by the end. access to much of this series is rather limited for me, so it is difficult to assess how much potential this series hold. slightly shallow, but surprisingly straight forward despite all of the guys having ulterior motives for engaging in courting the lovely heroines.

Ami and Noa have wanted nothing more than to each have a wonderful boyfriend, but they both have always, always have the exact same love interest! Because of this, they always fought over him, made fools of themselves, and chased any guy, they would have had a chance with, away. But on a lucky day, Noa and Ami find different love interests while sneaking into a karaoke get-together next door to their joke of a group date! For the first time in all fifteen years of their lives, they just might snag boyfriends! But is this really how love should be started..? And could true love ever even bloom from this forced meeting at all?
I meant to add this review on October 21st, because that is when I read this a second time, but I didn't get the chance and this review was added on the 22nd of October. Oh well. Stuff like this happens quite often with me, haha. I'm pretty sure that I originally read this in one sitting, sadly, I didn't get to do that this time. However, I am in a completely different mindset, stability, and social life than I was back then. As a matter of fact, I'm almost a completely different person from the person I was when I read this the first time. I found this manga really fun and amusing because it supported my thoughts and I could relate to it, but now I can't relate to it at all except that I, at one point in life, was very familiar with these feelings and also, I know a handful of thirteen year olds that are acting and feeling the same way I did back then too (and the same way Noa and Ami are feeling). Anyway, on to the actual review. I gave this manga four stars not just because it's entertaining and funny once you get into the groove of it, but because it perfectly illustrates the mind of kids in their age group (or at least it does with me when I was around their age). All of the characters feel real too, and relatable. Tamon and Ami remind me a bit of myself and an ex that I had after reading this manga though... Hmm... But all in all, this is a great series, and I recommend it to pre-teens and teens alike, heck, even adults! For the tweens and young teens, it gives them something to relate to, and (I hope *never finished reading the series*) that by the end of the series, it will teach these young readers a lesson on how if you just go out looking for a boyfriend, it's ALWAYS going to end badly. Love has to happen from a friendship, over the course of months and years. Not seconds after you meet a person. "Love at first sight" may be real, but it does NOT mean to jump into a relationship with that person at first sight.
This was the first manga series I've read. Not my favorite, probably the worst series I've read.

Stupid! Shallow! Worthless! I mean can these girls be any desperate! Come on have some self respect! Oh wait Japanese Manga... for a woman/girl there is no self respect 90 out of 100% sheesh it makes me so sick and mad that this kinda stuff happens and what more our girls the ages f 8-13 read this garbage! I picked this manga up at the library because it sounded like another manga I read a while back. Shudder!
This was just so hilarious xD My favourite part of the entire volume is when Noa and Ami go on a blind group date with a bunch of total losers... "My body is so ichy, is it already time for my monthly bath?" Oh my, I love stereotypes <3 So this ended up being an amazing start to the series, and I'm excited to read more!
its a manga book ( japonese comic book) and it talks about ami that is a girl who really fail inlove with boys all the time and she haves an enemy all the time but then they fail inlove with different guys but... u have to read!!! =P
This series is so unreal to me. The characters are just so out of the realm of real life to me. I always have a laugh. Short, easy to read for when you feel too bored and you feel in the mood to read but not pay much attention. Honestly, just don't take it too seriously
Baru kali ini baca full dalam satu manganya. Dulu baca di Nakayoshi, dan termasuk salah satu favorit. Sekarang baca di mangascan, dengan terjemahan yg cukup hancur -,-
