[Erotic Cowboy Ménage a Trois Romance, M/F/M, light consensual BDSM, spanking, HEA]
Paula Watkins fears dominant men after surviving an abusive relationship. Working at Dixie Chix, she becomes interested in two brothers. One flirts with her like crazy and the other thinks she’s too young to play his sort of games. Rumor has it that Matt and Tyler Depolis are practically Doms and they demand control and submission.
In a trial run, they expose Paula to the prospects for such a relationship, and she’s interested. It will take some convincing for them to prove that they mean no harm, just pleasure. But they’re not the only ones interested in one of Dixie Chix's main girls. Someone is stalking her and about to claim Paula as their own.
Matt owns a construction company, and Tyler is the fire inspector and arson investigator for Delite. When Tyler, Sheriff Parker, and local detectives figure out that their arsonist and murderer is also Paula’s stalker, it may just be too late.
Note: There is no sexual relationship or touching for titillation between or among siblings.
People seem to be more interested in my name than where I get my ideas for my stories from. So I might as well share the story behind my name with all my readers.
My momma was born and raised in New Orleans. At the age of twenty, she met and fell in love with an Irishman named Patrick Riley Dwyer. Needless to say, the family was a bit taken aback by this as they hoped she would marry a family friend. It was a modern day arranged marriage kind of thing and my momma downright refused.
Being that my momma’s families were descendents of the original English speaking southerners, they wanted the family blood line to stay pure. They were wealthy and my father’s family was poor.
Despite attempts by my grandpapa to make Patrick leave and destroy the love between them, my parents married. They recently celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary.
I am one of six children born to Patrick and Lynn Dwyer. I am a combination of both Irish and a true southern belle. With a name like Dixie Lynn Dwyer it’s no wonder why people are curious about my name.
Just as my parents had a love story of their own, I grew up intrigued by the lifestyles of others. My imagination as well as my need to stray from the straight and narrow made me into the woman I am today.
Another great story, of course. I don't care too much for the BDSM element but with Dixie's stories I'm able to over-look that. This one was action-packed from the first chapter, which was enough to keep me reading. Either these stories are getting shorter or I'm becoming a faster reader because I had this done in one night, before midnight. If you enjoy Siren Publishing than any Dixie Lynn Dwyer is a high recommendation from me.
I liked this one a bit more .. The characters had more development from the last book.. I just wish it was longer so we could have a full story.. I want to feel the HEA but it's hard when it's such a short book
2.5 Stars. I did not like this story. Tyler was the biggest jerk. He was so mean and nasty in the things he said to Paula and that I just couldn't forgive him. I couldn't believe Paula would want to be with a man like that after what she had been through before. Matt was the only likable one.
Another fantastic cover and book in the Sinful 7 series! These books are incredibly delicious with plenty of shy, skittish women and men that know how to treat them. Im looking forward to more in this series and cant wait to catch up on the ones i missed.
DNF seriously this was horrid! You've got a female MC who was in an abusive D/s relationship and suddenly she's totally cool with being in a relationship with not one but TWO D's?! Are you kidding me? With the premise and writing being absolutely horrid, I couldn't make it past the 50% mark.
Even though this books have small stories, they are such goodies that I can't just get enough.
The town of Delite, Texas is such a free minded town, without any mind judgement and prejudice, that I wouldn't mind getting on a plane and running away to it. I think that what I most like in this books is the lack of prejudice from the society and that's why this place comes from the mind and imagination of someone that writes stories for us daydreamers.
In this book, we are going to find a step further into the sex drive of this men that inhabit this town, the BDSM elements that are so appealing to alpha men and in a measure to us women that find that a little control and kinkiness is good in the "sack".
The dixie chic we have in this book is Paula. After having an abusive relationship in the past, she has reservations in getting involved in another relationship, especially when it comes to Matt and Tyler. Rumor has it that they're Doms and after having been hurt, Paula is in no way open to risk another heartache.
Matt and Tyler are hard, dominating men, and they had they're eye on Paula for a while. Tyler thinks that she's too young and probably is not what they're looking for but Matt doesn't think so, he thinks that his brother is already over his head and his heart is already fallen for this dixie chic.
When Paula begins to receive letters from a stalker and is put in danger, the men enter in protection gear and together protect the woman they love.
Paula is a woman that could be like any one of us if we had that bad experience. The fear that she feels is real and I do understand why she has ran away from this two men, it's not a fact that she's young but yes, the fact that probably she will be in over her head, or should I say over her bed. My pull towards this character was a positive one, she was real, balanced and at the same time bold.
Now, the two hot heads, Matt and Tyler. Matt is the sweet and hot, always the understanding one. It could be our best friend or confidante, but when it comes to making love, his needs are real and demanding, so .... read the book girls, you'll like it. Tyler is the boss or should I say, is the one that we would droll and not over but pretend that we're not looking. His way is harsh and not very nice most of the time but when the mask comes off, well he's a honey. When this two come together, sexually speaking, the heat is on.
Again, we find that the story is balanced between the relationship, the sex and the action, that pushes you to keep turning the pages until the end.
As I already said, I love this books and love this series. I want more!
Her double inferno is book two in the sinful seven of Delite series. I really liked this book but as I said in my review of book one of the series, every story of Dixie’s is very nearly a carbon copy of the previous. Not that there is anything wrong with similar types of stories in series, I just wanted Dixie to give the story at least a slight shake up. I wanted something new, something that had me thinking ‘’wow none of this happened in the previous books’’. I guess I am just getting disappointed with the predictable storyline. Will I carry on reading more of Dixie’s books? YES I will. I still enjoy them and I’m a sucker for a ménage relationship storyline.
Even after a horrific past of abuse, Paula is still willing to push herself to date. The guys she wants? Matt and Tyler Depolis. Matt wants Paula, he is ready for a relationship with her despite the age gap, his brother on the other hand, is too stubborn to go after what he wants. Tyler thinks that Paula is too young and not the right type of woman to be able to accept that he and his brother are Doms and into BDSM. But when Paula starts getting obsessive letters, Tyler and Matt are determined to protect her from her stalker, but with an arsonist and murder on the loose, its up to him as the fire inspector to find him. It isn’t long until the stalker/killer/arsonist gets his hands on Paula and it fast becomes a race against time to save her.
I really did not like this story. Paula, the heroine, is not fleshed out, and is very cookie-cutter. She pretends independence one second, and I think, yay, she has a backbone! And then every time, she is seduced into giving in. She has the personality of a limp noodle. The heroes, Matt and Tyler, seemed like villains to me. A good alpha control is fun, but these 2 seemed to cross the line to abuse. She can't talk to men, can only wear what they tell her to, must follow their orders quickly, not do anything that could be misconstrued as flirting, can't go to work... To them, she is, of course, to blame for the stalker since she didn't tell anyone sooner, any time a cowboy makes a move and doesn't take no for an answer (this happens every other page, it seems). We get little history of the heroes, and they are not believable characters in any form. I liked the beginning, but it went downhill fast. The bad guy is obvious, and you know who it is from page 1. I like this author well enough, but cannot in any context recommend this book.
I loved the hotness of the sex scenes of course!!!
What I didn’t like
How obvious the arsonist/murderer was as I guess it quite quickly and wasn't a surprise when it was revealed.
Characters
Paula has overcome an absuive relationship to become the woman she is but the past does affect her trust issues with Matt and Tyler and making their relationship moved forward.
Matt and Tyler are both strong alpha males who like to dominate their woman in the bedroom and they certainly sounded yummy on paper.
Overall
The book was good but I am getting bored of the damsel in distressed scenario which is affecting me fully enjoying these books. Might have to a break before reading the next one in the series.
This book was better than the first, the narrative is much clearer.
I like that each book is about one pairing but has snippets of other girls as well. I am loving the hints at their futures. It is also nice to get a bit more if Susanna's story as it felt incomplete.
The way they harped on the age difference you would think it was twenty years not a measly five and six.
The steam was hot when it arrived. BDSM was handled nicely and mostly worked for the story. Loved the shower scene!
The mystery was a but of a bust because the bad guy was obvious. I wish there had been a twist.
Overall a good read and pulls you more into the series.
Really enjoyed this sexual play Dom/sub kind of relationship that had Paula craving Tyler/Matt control over her body and heart. Love the big family feel with all the women like sisters. Great HEA.
I'm so happy when I discovered this series. The stories of each lady in Delite are really different. I like the way the author portraits the characters. I will recommend this series ...
