"I've lived in twelve states and had twenty different jobs," says Patricia Chandler. It was in Oregon, though, where she was the director of an art gallery, that she first began to write. "We lived in a small town," Patricia recalls, "and it was dead all winter. Not a single person came into the gallery. So I just sat there, working away at my typewriter. That's when I realized I could do it - become an author." Currently, Patricia lives with her husband in Arizona, where she plans to stay put for a while. She has two grown daughters and four stepsons. (from Deception Bay jacket cover)
The setting (Havasapai Indians who live in Arizona canyon) is very rich. their lifestyle different and fascinating; this is an unusual novel in that its about a Korean-born american-adopted protagonist (not many novels about Asians in romance lit), and its told mostly from a man's prospective (so the guy is the one being insecure, going through most growth during plot), which makes it doubly interesting; a quality romance read
