Catch That Santa
When widow, Sara Marks, hears her Grams has gone on the lam from Happy Acres Residence on Christmas Eve – on Santa’s arm, no less -- she teams up with sexy stranger, Francisco de la Vega, to chase the couple down with one thing in mind. a long snowy night of delays and worry effect their time together. I gave this a 4 star. A very quick read, that is riviting. Thank God it was a short read, cause i'd be loosing sleep to finish it. lol

I really liked this fun Christmas novella. It had me chuckling right from the start with Grams running off with Santa Claus to get married in Vegas. The fact that they lived in a seniors residence, so they were no spring chickens, made it even funnier. But Grams granddaughter and Santa's grandson didn't think it was funny, at all. So they took off after the couple hoping to stop the wedding. Since it was an 800-mile drive, they had lots of time to get to know each other. Going through a blizzard made the drive even harder and longer. It didn't take them long to go from not liking each other much, to falling in love.
If you are looking for a quick romantic Christmas story, I recommend Catch That Santa.

I received a free kindle copy of Catch That Santa by Karen Docter from an Amazon promotion in exchange for a fair review. I gave it five stars.
It's a sweet romantic story with a few twists. I like a 'feel good' story to read between some of my more intense reading. This one satisfied that need.
A gold '57 Ford Fairlane convertible is the vehicle of choice for Grams & Raphael in the escape from a nursing home to elope in Las Vegas. Left behind is a set of instructions & a beautiful dress for Sara Marks to wear when she gets to Vegas where she will join her Grams. Sara is a widow with a young daughter.
Francisco de la Vegas was the one they planned to escort Sara. He is the grandson of Raphael who Grams had known many years before.
He's in a relationship with the bossy, manipulative daughter of the man who he has submitted his proposal for a major architectural project.
Will Sara & Cisco catch the elderly couple to prevent their wedding? Will Cisco learn that Sara could be the catch of his life? Or will he be trapped in a marriage of convenience?

Sara Marks never expected to hear the words that your grandmother Janie ran away with Santa to come from the orderly at Happy Acres yet that's exactly what happened. Sara is not sure she's going to do about Grams except to find her. Francisco(Cisco) not Franny as Monica calls him is looking for his grandfather Raphael del la Vega at Happy Acres only to discover that he's missing. Cisco doesn't know what to think let alone do about this. It's up to Sara and Cisco to find the elder couple before they marry in Las Vegas. Cisco really doesn't want Sara along because of her seven month old baby named Lanie but Sara makes other arrangements for her. Together Cisco and Sara, they both realize that something is missing in their lives. Sara is afraid to get burned again by love thanks to her dead husband. CHRISTMAS ADVENTURE
ok i just have to say i really enjoyed this book- it was first i have read by this author and i will be looking for others that said- this was a fun- fast paced book that starts when lanie (who is a widow) arrives with her daughter to visit gram- and finds out gram has run off to vegas with santa to get married-- while she is being told this frisco comes in to hear that his gramps is the santa in question- a note is found and next thing we know- lanies daughter is left with caring friend and she and frisco take off to drive in the worst snowstorm in denver history to stop the elopement---along the way they start to figure out that gram and gramps have carried the torch for years for each other and that the seniors might be doing a little matchmaking of their own - this was a fun tale with a second chance at love with 2 different romantic couples as well as a devious lady determined to stop frisco thrown in- a perfect feel lighthearted christmas story that can be read in one sitting as it is only 60 pages

And now the order, Buddy, from Happy Acres Residence is telling her that her grandma has run off to Vegas with the Santa Claus. How did this happen? Her grams is pushing eighty and hasn’t even mentioned any man. And it seems that Grams expects Sara to come to Vegas as well.
Francisco de la Vega don’t have time to chase his grandfather down. He has to get to the Burton’s and sell his soul to get the contract for Burton’s building. He has to wonder when the success of his company started depending on him considering marriage to get a contract. And now he finds out grandpa wants him to take Sara from Denver to Vegas for their wedding. And he does.
This book is a nice short read but a full story. A fun story with these two as they go on an adventure that will change their lives….forever.

(★★★1/2) An octogenarian escaping her retirement home to elope with the visiting Santa? And the grandkids are left to be the responsible ones? How can you resist? ^_^
Despite being predictable, CATCH THAT SANTA was a lovely "feel good" read with my hot chocolate (smothered in marshmallows, of course). An optimistic story about a second chance at love (in two different meanings), Karen Docter did a wonderful job of weaving a coherent story, creating relatable characters, and conveying emotional depth in such a short length. So I can't help but wonder how much better the story would've been had it been longer. Nonetheless, CATCH THAT SANTA satisfies the reader with the perfect ending.

Christmas weddings...
Lanie and Cisco meet when they find out that their grandparents have ran off to Vegas to get married in the worst snow storm that Denver has seen in awhile. They take off to try to stop them but in the storm there are no flights so they have to drive, it's over 800 miles.
What did I like? A believer of love at first sight, I loved the thought of them falling in love. By the time they reached Vegas I was sure they were goners.
What will you like? A truly fairy tale story filled with unbelievable magic like every woman wishes she would find. Written beautifully and well deserving 5 stars, you'll fall in love with each of the characters. A sad story turned magical all on Christmas day.

This is the first book by Karen Docter I've read, and I get the feeling she toned things down for this holiday read. The excerpt at the end of it is "Satin Pleasures" so I suspect I will not be reading more of her titles since they appear too "hot" for my tastes. But I certainly recommend "Catch That Santa" for a pedal to the metal Christmas romance. The whole plot is a chase within a chase and a romance within a romance. It's well done and would garner more stars from me if I weren't a little tired right now of lust=love stories. Ms. Docter is definitely a talented writer.

What would you do if your Grandmother ran away to get married in Vegas. Why you go after her to find what in the world is going on. Our heroine, Sara Marks does that. Only not alone. Along for the chase is the Grandson of the man her Grandmother ran off with. Trap in the SUV for a long ride. Really fun story.
Great story between the hero and heroine. And it's just not the young people, it's the oldest too.
Highly recommend for a quick fun read.

Karen Docter writes wonderful contemporary romance. This was a fun novella, with a Christmas theme. The romantic couples were endearing, and you liked them from the start. If you want a fast fun romantic read, and in the mood for a Christmas story, then Catch that Santa is perfect for you.

This is a sweet story, just perfect for Christmastime. Two individuals, a grandson and a granddaughter, meet when the grandmother runs off with the Santa visiting the senior facility for a Christmas party. There is the prerequisite snowstorm and car trip and happy ending. Short and sweet, perfect for Christmastime.

I got this book from RomCon for a fair review.
I love Christmas romances, so this story was right up my alley.
Overall, I enjoyed it, but even for a novella parts of it felt rushed. I liked the characters. I just would have liked a bit more development of the romance. I did enjoy the author's inclusion of a chapter a year later. That helped a bit.

OH, my what a love story!!
Two people connected by the love of their grandparents, find themselves chasing their grandparents to Las Vegas, what a wonder 12 hours could do! Coudl they finally find happiness with one another or will the obligations of life win out? Great and quick read!!!

Short, sweet story about two people whose love for their grandparents bring them on a wild ride. Just in time for Christmas, this story is sure to delight while you're listening to Bing Crosby and sipping hot cocoa!

I loved this story. It was a fun read for a short story. I thought she did a great job developing the main characters. By using their point of view throughout the story I got to see who they were. The grandparents who totally delightful. I was so glad that they had their HEA finally.

Loved this sweet short story! Sara goes to visit her Grams at Happy Acres were she lives, only to discover she's gone missing. I note is left behind that she left with Santa and are on their way to Las Vegas to get married. As Sara is reading the note from her Grams, Cisco comes into the room to discover "Santa" is his grandfather. Will Sara and Cisco catch their Grams and Gramps before they reach Vegas? What will happen between Sara and Cisco on their 15 hour car ride? OMG love the plot, the setting is wonderful, and the characters so true to life. A MUST READ!!
