Basic assertiveness techniques.
I had obtained this from my parents, and have put off reading it for 30 years, and then find out with skimming it that it mainly is basic assertiveness techniques, taught in many communication courses and sessions now throughout the corporate environment.

Amazing book. Did anyone who read this book find that standing up and talking back only works with people who have aggressive personalities? I don't know about you, but my belief is that standing up to certain personalities doesn't work. Anyone it has worked for?? love to hear how you managed it.

My dad got me this book in 6th grade because I was acting out at school. he wanted to show me that I had a choice in how I could respond. I really liked this book and it helped me to stop being a victim of my emotions.. It is pretty accessable for a young reader.
