Short story, contemporary romance, and a warning. What happens when complacency sets into a long term marriage, when one or other doesn't talk and doesn't explain the dissatisfaction with their sex lives? They give up, and the marriage ends or they get a timely shock and do something about it. Here Jack comes close to a liaison with a colleague but a close call with death makes him realise who he loves and the need to do something about it. Christine needs more than she has had in the past and finally gains satisfaction sexually, suddenly things change and many women reading this will wish it was their story being told.
Good three stars from me.

This was not my favorite story by Ms. Adams. It might be because I listened to 'Uncovered' first. That story was so good and very realistic my expectations were high. This was pure erotica without really a story.

I really liked this story about a couple that had to find each other again sexually, it is very steamy story. If this is the type of story you are looking then this is one for you.

Unlocked by Evelyn Adams was a well-written and utterly sexy tale about an older married couple of 16 years trying to bring back the sparks into their relationship. With a non-existent sex life, Jack is tempted to seek release elsewhere. However, an accident forces him to realize where his heart lies and who the woman he really wants is.
Christine is a middle aged mother who lives in ponytails and stained sweats. She's still carrying an extra 20 pounds and feels the exact opposite of sexy. So, she wonders why her husband would still want her. But, Jack still wants her all the same and is more than ready to prove it to her. And so they begin the journey of rediscovering the world of physical intimacy together which leads to some erotic, yet sensual and sweet lovemaking.
Ms. Adams did a wonderful job portraying a married couple reconnecting after many years of misunderstandings. I really enjoyed Christine and Jack as characters as they were realistic in my eyes. I loved that while Christine had insecurities, she overcame them and I loved Jack's loving attentiveness towards his wife (although to be honest I wanted to smack him in the beginning).
Instead of sparks, they brought back fireworks into their relationship and it was great coming along this journey with them. Overall, I very much enjoyed this short, steamy, and sweet story that Evelyn Adams has penned. I am usually more reluctant to read 'new-to-me' authors, but I'm glad I took a chance on Evelyn Adams. I look forward to reading more works by this author.

A short book about a devoted married couple who put some spice back in their marriage, but from differing points of view. Chrissy feels fat and unattractive while Jack is concerned about his wife's state of mind. They solve this dilemma in a very sexy manner with new pleasures when they get a night alone together with no kids or interruptins
Something that is worth mentioning in this book is Chrissy's problems, such as not having an orgasm during lovemaking or her depression are addressed and resolved in realistic ways and not over the top. I am a sucker for erotica when the couple has been together a long time and they are focused only on each other. This book is one of those stories and I enjoyed it very much.

Une petite nouvelle des plus agréable à lire.
L’histoire tourne autour d’un couple qui a des problèmes au lit. L’un pense que l’autre ne l’aime plus et l’autre pense pareil. Aie aie, encore des quiproquos.
Elle semble être mignonne cette nouvelle, quand on voit comment ça se déroule. Jack et Chrissie pourrait être mes parents à bien y regarder. Tout ça est une passage à vide qu’on la plupart des couples et un heureux hasard va détruire les pensées de chacun.
Franchement, il est recommandable mais en en même temps … il est préférable de passer son chemin si les trucs trop choupi ou de grande personne ne vous intéresse pas.

A very hot, sexy story about second chances. Jack and Christine have been married for 16 years and sex had become dull and predictble. But after an accident, the ball start rolling on a new adventure for these two lovers, that will ensure they'll never be bored in the bedroom again!!

A great story about a couple who love each other but have lost their intimacy. Jack contemplates taking a flirtatious co-worker up on her blatant come on but a near-miss accident makes him realize how much he loves and desires his wife. The rest of the story is their re-discovery of each other. Very sweet and sexy.

A short story about a married couple who finally realized that their sexless marriage was because of their own lack of wanting and creativity.
I was first concerned with how the story began and disappointed at how close one spouse almost destroyed the marriage. Then very quickly the story turned for the best.

This was an easy book to read, but I guess I wasn't that interested because there wasn't any conflict involved. The only issues were from the main characters themselves and were rather mundane. Still a decent book to read, just not may preferred style.

Wasn't much of a story here, mostly sex scenes which were good but I didn't really care about the characters so it didn't interest me that much. I was left wondering what happened with the other woman as that was never resolved for me. Would have liked to have more.
