This poetry unhinges the sensible cultural body and activates other oscillations of the sensible, which chime with acts of love and political subjects resuturing what are given to be facts. The poems are verbal machineries of encounter, brain music in relational life.
Samuels' work is always amazing--and each book is better than the last. In Wild Dialectics the author is at the very top of her game, having figured out how to make the lyric zoom, scatter, vanish, haunt, and again come (electrified) back. She's got feeling up to the speed of thought and thought turning to face its own slow intimacies of visions and revisions which a moment will reverse... Brilliant!
