Use It: Turn Setbacks Into Success

Rate this book
As eighteen-year-old Cheryl Hunter escapes rural Colorado for the bright lights of Europe, she does so with nothing more than an over-packed suitcase and a dream. Once there, her mind is bent on solving one problem alone: how does a small-town cowgirl pull off the feat of becoming an international supermodel? When Cheryl is abducted, raped and brutally beaten instead, she is faced with solving a much bigger problem: how does she survive?

Using her journey of rising from the ashes as fuel, Hunter delivers a step-by-step method that can be applied by anyone who has ever dealt with less-than-favorable circumstances. In a world where—let’s face it—life often hijacks our personal agendas, Cheryl shows you how to immediately take back the reins, design a life you love, and become the unstoppable force of nature you were born to be.

I enjoyed this little book it is a quick read. The stories were good. I liked best the stories where people did change their lives :- Vincent moves to Hawii to be an artist
Helen becomes a public speaker
Joyce learns to love her husband's new wife and re unites with her family.
Hunter's slogans : 1)You are responsible for everything that happens to you
2)Your thoughts are not your friends
3)You are designed to survive, not thrive
4)You will never be happy or fulfilled until you are the architect of your own life
5)You only keep what you give away
I disaggree with 1). There are huge exceptions, E.g holocaust victims, children in poverty, cancer victims. However, I think she means we can be responsible for making the best of how things turn out
2) means : educate yourself to be positive
5) means : If you want love- give love and so on
