EXCERPT Coupling Two (Midge by Willsin Rowe):
The phone rang a couple of times before Jen picked up.
“Hello?”
I put on a southern accent. “Hi there, little lady. Is your mommy home?”
“Yes, sir, she is. But she’s in my bed with Mr Ridge’s cock up her ass.”
“Dammit, Jen...how do you always know it’s me?”
“A little thing I like to call ‘Caller ID’.”
“Oh, that old trick...” I lost my voice for a second.
“Sweetie? Have those pilots been misbehaving again?”
“Aw, a couple of cowboys with more cock than pit. Plus a freak windstorm hit about midday. It was all I could do to keep ’em in the air.” I never see the faces, they never see me. So it’s abstract and impersonal. But on the bad days I swear I can feel the weight on my shoulders. The thousands of lives I hold in my hands. All depending on me to make every decision right. And today had been a bad day.
“Jen...I...”
“Did you try some creative visualization?”
“That never really took.”
“There’s that new yoga place. Give that a try?”
“Yeah...I guess...”
“Sweetie, if it helps...I just put a lamb roast in the oven.”
“That’s...” I couldn’t think about food. There was something I needed so much more. “Jen, would you...”
“Hmm?”
“Would you let me see Midge tonight?”
“Wow. That bad a day, huh?”
“Please? You know I love you, right? It’s not about that.”
“Of course. And I love you.” She didn’t sound hurt, or worried, which was a good sign. She sighed, and I could almost hear her head shaking. “Okay then, sweetie. Just...save some for me?”
“You’re the best, Jen.”
* * * *
I pulled into the driveway and killed the engine. My hands shook just a little as I stepped down from the cab. Jen had been at me for months to get rid of my big old beast, maybe get one of those hybrid cars. Truth was, I didn’t need a fucking behemoth like this, but if my father or brother ever saw me in a hybrid, they’d probably hold an intervention for me.
I knocked quietly, the way Midge prefers it. She called out in her sweet voice, telling me to wait a minute.
I pulled out my cellphone and turned it off. All part of the rules. I leaned against the wall as a minute turned to two. The sun’s heat was still in the bricks. It seeped through my jacket and into my skin. She’d come open the door when it was time.
Already I felt the tension easing. It wasn’t just the warmth on my back. It was the anticipation. I mean, don’t get me wrong.
Professional dirty word writer, gluten free baker, sock addict, fat wiener dog walker, expert procrastinator. That sums it up.

The Flintstone Experiment I received this from Selena Kitt in exchange for an honest review. So here goes. I have to say I really liked the basis for this story. So many times I have had friends come to me with the problem that their husband just doesn't understand what they want and that they don't trust them to make the right decision. This is the problem with Rick and Laura. So Laura, decides to drag her husband to a relationship seminar weekend, without telling him that this is the last straw. Communication is key people!!! We find out throughout this book that Rick does care and he does want to help Laura, but like all men "he isn't a fricken mindreader!!".
So I liked this story, with it's real problems and a sexy resolution. It's nice to read about "real" problems for a change and of course I love reading about relationship dynamics. This one was done really well. 3.5 stars from me.
The Cat Lover This one had me totally confused. I am still not sure if I understand what happened Anyway because of that confusion I give this one 2 stars. The kinky cat sex was really strange for me.
The dirty show Holy shit!!! wow, wish my husband would do this for me every anniversary. Dirty show really is that, a dirty show a husband and wife team put on to keep the thrill going in their relationship. Orgy style, but only the husband is allowed to have actual sex with her. 3 stars.
Like any anthology, there were standouts and others that were good. This anthology is about couples and how they make their sexual relationship work, fulfilling each other's needs, desires and fantasies. Maybe one of these stories is you and your partner? Enjoy!
My standouts:
The Dirty Show - Selena Kitt: Janie (Baumgartner) and Josh are celebrating their 10th anniversary in that special Baumgartner way - They've invited a number of men to come celebrate with them at an empty warehouse.
Midge - Wilsin Rowe: Marcus has had a bad day at work and has asked his wife, Jen, if her alter-ego Midge can come out to play with him when he gets home from work.
A better than average anthology. Check my tags for content.
***Received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads.***
I have to say, these short stories were thoroughly amusing! I don't think I've laughed so hard when reading an 'erotica' book before. The only story that was just way to weird and out there for me was the cat story. But that's just a matter of taste, not writing.
