1959. First Edition. 190 pages. Illustrated dust jacket over blue cloth boards. Gilt lettering. Contains black and white plates. Clean pages and plates with noticeable tanning and foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Moderate sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Gilt lettering is darkened. Visible wear marks to boards. Unclipped jacket. Panels and spine have light edgewear with tears and creases. Visible wear marks to spine and panels.

I enjoyed this book for two reasons:
1. I used to work with an ex-sub guy who told me lots of stories about service on a sub.
2. I attended a mechanical seal training school led by a machinist mate who was on the nautilus on this mission.
