I love good fiction. And when I find myself realizing that what a fiction author has created could realistically happen, I consider it great. This is the category I would put "A Light Shining" by Glynn Young.

This book is the continuation of the story of Michael Kent, who we first met in "The Dancing Priest." He's now married, has a legal ward and settling in to his job at the church. As he continues to expand his church's role in the community through outreach efforts, he learns from his brother that their bloodline connection to the British royal family may be putting his life, and his family's life in danger. When world events and the Kent family meet, life will never be the same for the family again.

I highly recommend this book for those who like world events and strong character development.

I found both of these books (and think of them as one big book divided into two) to be sooooo good. You cannot quit at "Dancing Priest" because it continues and grows into even more in "A Light Shinning." The characters have such depth and the story line just keeps growing and growing. It starts out seemingly simple and builds into something I wanted to not have to end. I got so much more than I expected...and the best part was in not really knowing what to expect. Obviously no spoiler alerts here ...just read it and see for yourself!

This book has a little bit of everything including romance, suspense and politics all with an ending that is a twist on a fairy tale. You'll fall in love with the young priest, his family and friends and will wish for more. Glynn Young is an excellent storyteller who will have you up reading into the wee hours and at times close to tears. This is the second book in a series (Dancing Priest) and I for one am hoping for a third book.

I loved this book. I felt myself caring about what happened to the characters and what happened to them. And the story really picked up from the first novel in this series. That one was more of a nice love story, but this one picked up and ran with the storyline where Dancing Priest left off, it became less romance and more suspense, intrigue.
