"I'll be on all fours howling at the moon while you're eating sweet potatoes with marshmallows and sipping spiked eggnog."
Sylvia's parents have just dropped a bomb on her. A big one. A colossal one. When they told her she could open an early Christmas present, she never expected ears and a tail, especially not connected to her person. Sylvia is just fine with being boring, thank you very much, and she would certainly prefer not to spend Christmas howling at the moon. With the most important date of her life tied to the holiday, Sylvia's going to have to decide if she should tell her high school sweetheart the truth: I'm a werewolf.
Includes full prologues and chapters of eight other works in the back!
C.M. Stunich is a self-admitted bibliophile with a love for exotic teas and a whole host of characters who live full time inside the strange, swirling vortex of her thoughts. Some folks might call this crazy, but Caitlin Morgan doesn't mind - especially considering she has to write biographies in the third person. Oh, and half the host of characters in her head are searing hot bad boys with dirty mouths and skillful hands (among other things). If being crazy means hanging out with them everyday, C.M. has decided to have herself committed.
She hates tapioca pudding, loves to binge on cheesy horror movies, and is a slave to many cats. When she's not vacuuming fur off of her couch, C.M. can be found with her nose buried in a book or her eyes glued to a computer screen. She's the author of over thirty novels - romance, new adult, fantasy, and young adult included. Please, come and join her inside her crazy. There's a heck of a lot to do there.
Oh, and Caitlin loves to chat (incessantly), so feel free to e-mail her, send her a Facebook message, or put up smoke signals. She's already looking forward to it.
I loved this story, yet I hated the main character. I felt like a lot of the stuff could have been avoided if she had just listen. It was really annoying and unnecessary.
Title: A Werewolf Christmas Author: C.M Stunich Genre: Young Adult Paranormal Romance Format: Ebook Pages: 128 Rating: 4 Heat: 2
Thoughts: This was a really quick read but so funny. The characters are so adorkable and cute. I love Sylvia's family. Josiah... AWESOME!!! He is the perfect book boyfriend (even though he's too young lol). I look forward to reading more!
Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work and chose to write a review.
Sylvia has a plan this Christmas is going to be perfect, Christmas eve with her family and dinner with his. How could their family meeting possibly go wrong. It all started to spiral out of control when her parents dropped the bomb on her that she was going to turn into a werewolf, by the full moon which just happens to be Christmas Night. Can Sylvia still have the Christmas with her boyfriend she wanted or will she end up revealing her furry side to everyone?
I like Sylvia she's adorable with her keen fashion sense, and determination to have the perfect Christmas even if it means taping her tail to her leg. It's hard to not like her as her charm is infectious. I like Josiah he's perfect for her as he has a little werewolf addiction she's almost like a dream come true for him.
I had this one on my holiday reading list but didn't get around to it till now. I like the concept for the werewolves they have a unique twist which I found refreshing. I like the characters they are easy to connect with you can't help liking them. A quick fast paced story that was hard to put down till the very end. I enjoyed stepping into Sylvia's world as she takes on being a werewolf over the holidays. This is my first book by the author but I look forward to reading more books by her, as her style is interesting.
I have had the novella sitting on my kobo for quite sometime and I finally had a chance to get to it. I have read and loved other works by C.M. Stunich and A Werewolf Christmas fit right in. This was a fast- paced, hilarious and romantic YA read. I found the story very original for a werewolf story. Who know that only parts of you would turn to a werewolf at a time. I almost peed my pants reading of how Sylvia had to shave her furry back before her date. And can you imagine growing a fur moustache in all of 2 seconds LOL? I loved this book and I would love to learn more about these characters. I would recommend this novella to werewolf lovers.
P.S. I think that turning into a werewolf would be the best Christmas present ever!!
Excellent short story (novelette?). The story was well-written the suspense kept me interested from beginning to end. I read it in one sitting, couldn't put it down! The characters had personalities, even the minor characters. There was just enough "weirdness" in the parents to make you NEED to see what was going to happen next. Great read for high schoolers and up!
A werewolf christmas was a fun short story to read. A teenage girl that finds out on Christmas eve that she will become a werewolf, in the process of having to see her boyfriend and not wanting to talk or listen to her mother, she infects her boyfriend and he excited about becoming a werewolf. He has a love of anything werewolfs. He was there to help her out when her body parts would change. They have their night together running through the woods as wolves. If was a fun read for me. And of course being a teenager and finding out that werewolves mate for life.
What a cute short story! Very entertaining. I'm not much into short stories, but since I knew this was going to have a follow-up soon I went ahead and jumped in. And I'm glad I did.
It may be a short story, but you can tell its not just thrown together. It's detailed yet to the point, cute and sweet, with a little humor thrown in that had me smiling and chuckling.
If you're looking for a quick read and you like werewolf stories, give this one a go. I think you'll like it.
To think nothing would’ve happened if the MC had listened to her mother. The symptoms are amusing, didn’t like the grandma. Liked the boyfriend. Short and fast paced. The next book sounds interesting.
I truly loved this short story. Anytime CM writes a book, no matter what it's a must 1 click. Sylvia just finds out that she will turn into a werewolf and accidentally infected her boyfriend. I loved every minute of this book and the characters (minus the grandma) I loved. Sylvia worry over her boyfriend Josiah dumping her because she is a werewolf but Sylvia doesn't know is Josiah is obsessed with werewolf. Amazing story that I can't wait to read the next book in this series series
This is a cute short story that I feel would have made a great full length book. Sylvia is a fun heroine that made me laugh out loud with her crazy antics, such as shaving the rough werewolf fur off her back.
The love story was cute and Josiah's reaction to Sylvia's "condition" reminded me so much of how my geeky husband may react to such news. This made me laugh that much harder at the hilarity of the situation.
Overall this is a fun short story to fill in an empty evening.
This is a cute new take on werewolves. I think younger adults/teenagers would love this book. Sylvia was enjoying her Christmas vacation until her mother tells her she will turn into a werewolf on Christmas. Trying to escape reality Sylvia runs to her boyfriend Josiah's house. Without thinking she actually turns Josiah. Cute story with a refreshing twist on weres. WaAR
I was gifted this book and honestly didn't know how I'd like it. I've never read a werewolf story I didn't think I would get into it, Oh boy was I wrong. CM draws you in and clearly sets the whole story up in your head. It's very descriptive Very detailed Very good I flipping loved it I will now and forever be a "were" reader Well at least CM' s Can't wait to read more!
This was an excellent short story. CM Stunich had me laughing and feeling the same emotions as the young girl in this story. I also felt for the mother in the fact that she should have divulged the family secret long before she actually did. I did not want to put this book down after I started and I wished that it was a longer read then it was.
This was a great short story!! I loved the characters and the story! I tried to imagine my mom telling me the same thing and it just didn't go that way for me!!ha ha... If you want a great short story about the fabulous werewolves then this is for you!!
I enjoyed this short and VERY funny read and now iam excited to read the many works of C.M. Stunich that she was so awesome to put in the back of this well they are teasers but good enough for me. I loved the humor in this story and I hope it is present in her other works
