Things to Talk About Before You Get Married

Rate this book
For couples thinking about taking the plunge into marriage, this book covers a number of different questions you should ask yourselves before making a lifelong commitment. Things like "How will we balance different religions?" or "Will we home school our kids?" can turn into heated battles and, although they might seem like small issues when you're "in love," disagreement on these issues can eventually end in divorce.

So if you're thinking about getting married or you know someone who is, take the time to talk about important issues BEFORE you say "I do."

This book hits on all the general points any pre marital counselor would hit on. It says to talk about sex, finances, children, family and religion. I don't know many people who went into marriage without discussing these hot topics. There was not but one or two small discussions that I haven't had with my fiance. Such as who should pay for the cost of college for the kids and the death of a child, we haven't really discussed these things but everything else we have discussed and are comfortable with. So really I felt this book just gives the same old advice and topics to discuss that most engaged coupled already know about. Though I will say it has a smooth delivery, The book wasn't bad just nothing new.
