5 SHINING STARS

This book's review is ONLY for the novella Light Me Up by Cherrie Lynn.

I have not read the other three novellas in this anthology.

I really enjoyed this glimpse into Brian and Candace's future (Rock Me). Light Me Up was a delightful and steamy little gem that reminded me why Brian is one of my all-time favorite swoonalicious heroes. As for Candace, well, I adored her in this novella. She finally became the girl Brian deserved. I absolutely love these two characters, their relationship, and this novella. I will most definitely be reading it again for the smile I know it'll put on my face, and, of course, for more Brian.

Review only for Light Me Up by Cherrie Lynn
I have not read the other novellas.

Candace and Brian are attending a Christmas party at her parents' house. Dear Candace is sweating quite profusely and it has nothing to do with her dress. Come to think of it, let's play a little guessing game. What do you think would make her sweat? Bingo! It's Tsk-tsk…mean, mean Brian. *waggles eyebrows*

"I loved watching you light up whenever I did that."
"Wanna light me up some more?"
"You have no idea."

I'd say it was to be expected that they would get it on in Candace's parents' house. It goes without saying that their sexual interlude was pretty hot.

"Finally where I've wanted to be all night," he said, the corner of his mouth tilting up sardonically.

As always Brian is a real sweetheart. He is such a gorgeous, considerate, anticipatory, thoughtful and encouraging man. Moreover, Brian's present was so incredibly romantic. You should be reading this hot little number just for the sake of his Christmas gift. *Le sigh*

"Remember when we were in here before and you told me to light you up? I don't think I've ever seen you as bright as you are right now. I did a good job, right?"

Yeah, Brian, you did a fabulous job.

Photobucket

Anthologies are not really my cuppa, however, I'd like to encourage you to read A Very Naughty Xmas. You can never have enough Brians in your reading life, right? Oh, and wonders never cease coz I even liked Candace. *Baba beams*

Light Me Up is such a feel-good story. Simply put, I couldn't stop smiling.

"I think things have a way of working out the way they're supposed to. We'd have found each other some way or another."

Is it just me, or does the guy on this cover look like he's SO not thrilled to be in the picture? I think I know why. Someone stole his puppy. This generic looking picture is screaming to have a puppy with matching Santa hat.

This review is for Light Me Up by Cherrie Lynn. I may or may not go back and read the Sole Regret story at some point, but I'm not caught up with that series at the moment.

The fans begged for more Brian and Candace time and we were HEARD. My deepest apologies go out to Ms. Lynn for the mess we made at her house with all of that toilet paper. Everyone was doing it, and I caved to the peer pressure...

This was the perfect little short story to give me some alone time with Candace and Brian. I still adore Brian with a fierce loyalty, and Candace was actually tolerable in this small dose.

I can't tell you people anything other than there were a couple of verrah nice sex scenes and one absolutely sweet scene that brought this couple's journey to a nice little end scene for their story. I'll just say that creative Brian = win. For those who have read the scene with the portrait and what was on it, I think it's safe to say that there was probably a collective sigh going out all among the readers.

Was anyone else having Titanic flashbacks during this scene where Brian makes an artistic rendering of Candace in the nude?
"Put your hand here, like this," he said, moving her hand so that it was against her cheek.

It was probably just me.

I'll have to revisit this little short story after my next re-read of Rock Me. Brian was one of my first romantic-a loves back in the day, so he'll always hold a special place in my heart.

3 Smutty Stars

This book contains some seriously hot, nasty and borderline porn stories inside. If you are still interested then here’s my review:

Jingle Ball by Cari Quinn - has a threesome amongst two male bosses and their female secretary. (use of Christmas tree ornaments and candy canes) An HEA amongst two of the characters and a Merry Christmas.

Christmas is Coming by Raven Morris - has a foursome between happily married couple Jack and Deb and their friends. Jack and Deb both surprise each other with a third person to the bedroom and bam it’s a foursome all tied in a bow.

An Indecent Proposition by Stephanie Julian - has a threesome amongst two weathly friends and a beautiful woman who has caught their eye. This is an interesting story, I would have liked to have read more. The one male is disfigured due to an explosion and with the aid of his best friend he comes out from the shadows.

Share Me by Olivia Cunning - is the prequel to the books One Night With Soul Regret and there is pretty much an orgy in this story. All of our favorite band members are in it. When two girls follow the bands tour bus after a charity concert to meet them. The roads are bad and they find the opportunity to cross off the top names from their bucket/f** list.

Light Me Up by Cherrie Lynn - we get to spend the Christmas holidays with Candace and Brian. They get pretty hot with toys and bathrooms. This story was a good read as the couple not only get hot during the holidays but they bring their relationship to the next level. Congratulations Brian and Candace!

Released today and I got my copy!!!! I absolutely LOVE Cherrie Lynne... She has developed such great characters with the Brian, Evan and Seth (Ghost) I absolutely fell in love with Brian and Candace from the first few pages of Rock Me.. Cherrie Lynne has done it again with Brian Ross in Light Me Up!!! Brian may me a bad boy, all tatted up and have piercings, but he has such a genuine heart and loves Candace unconditionally.... I can not wait for more books with Brian, Evan and Seth!!!! 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!!!! What a great novella for the Christmas season!!!!

All the short stories had very hot, nasty, nitty gritty sex. If your looking for some good ol smut then this is for you.

Jingle Ball by Cari Quinn has menage, some m/m action and some regular great sex with a boss, his best friend and their secretary.

Christmas is Coming by Raven Morris...oh boy oh boy oh boy! Jack and Debra have a very healthy marriage along with great sexual appetite. There's some bondage, menage, light f/f, hint of light m/m and then a quartet of hot sex. This read was a good one.

Light Me Up by Cherrie Lynn goes back to Candace and Brians relationship that we saw in Rock Me, the second book to the Ross Siblings. I absolutely loved this read. It was funny, dirty and ultimately sweet.

An Indecent Proposition by Stephanie Julian has m/f and good ol menage between two wealthy men, one who is scarred due to a fire accident, the other who is trying to help his best friend come back out of his shell and a waitress who needs the money to help out with her mom. My least favorite but it was still good.

Share Me by Olivia Cunning is the prequel to the books on One Night With Soul Regret and OMG what a night it was! Two girls get the ride of their lives with all the band members plus bus driver. It's raw and caliente. There's m/f, menage, f/f, light m/m(sigh)and laugh out loud moments.

This rating is based on all stories in this anthology.

Light me Up by Cherrie Lynn>
If I could, I would probably rate this five stars JUST because of my lust for the luscious men of Dermamania and the truly lovely (and smokin hot) Christmas story from Cherrie Lynn.

Ok, I’ll admit I fell in love with Brian Ross back in Unleashed as Evan’s misunderstood younger brother, and Rock Me firmly cemented my feelings for Brian and Candace, so I knew that any story featuring them at the holidays would be a winner. Cherrie Lynn did not disappoint.

Light Me Up is a sweet story that picks up on a theme started in Leave Me Breathless (released Nov 2012), regarding Brian’s and Candace’s long term plans with each other. And of course, it wouldn’t be the holidays without family interactions, and in this case it includes Candace’s uppity, meddling mother, a remote controlled toy and some smexy times in Candace’s childhood bedroom.

In spite of the holiday hoopla, the jewel in this piece are the private moments between Brian and Candace.

It was nice to see a more mature Candace, still madly in love with Brian. When she says, "You know my answer is yes. My answer is always yes to you." you just know she is still head over heals in love with him.

And Brian? Well, Brian regained his place in my heart as #1 hottie in Dermamania (sorry Ghost) with this line-- “In fact, this is how I love you best, I think. PJs, hair up, no makeup... the way only I get to see you.”

Light Me Up was exactly what I want in a holiday story--favorite characters in a sweet and sexy slice of holiday life. Very nice.

I’d buy this anthology for this story alone.

Share Me by Olivia Cunning
I love the guys from Sole Regret and I really like what Olivia Cunning is doing with her “One Night with Sole Regret” series, but Share Me falls a little bit short for me. What I enjoy most about Olivia Cunning’s stories and characters is the way she combines awesome emotional writing with a heaping dose of hot sex. In this story, there’s little emotional connection between the girls and the band, so if you are looking for sex without any messy entanglements, then you might like this one.

I did like learning more about Owen and Kellen, and not just what they like in the bedroom.

Owen was the only one to project anything remotely like holiday cheer in this story, and that was a saving grace. I absolutely loved what he did for all his band mates to help celebrate. I wish Santa had really had something in his sack for Kellen though--he could have used a visit from a Christmas angel, that was for sure.

My main problem with Share Me is that I couldn’t connect with the two female groupies, Lindsey and Vanessa. Maybe it was that “crackin a moistie” line..,

So overall, a very erotic story, but it lacked holiday cheer for me.

Jingle Ball - Cari Quinn
This office romance puts a bit of a twist on the boss-secretary relationship as what gets started as a menage turns into a happy ending for two of them. Okay, Des’s arguments for why he holds back on his feelings for Wendy seem a little strange, considering the two partners are fairly permissive about what goes on the workplace, but it’s easy to overlook. Instead, I found myself rooting for Des to get his head out, and for Wendy to get what she wanted for Christmas.

This holiday story had lots of steamy sex and an HEA wrapped up in a bow.

Christmas is Coming by Raven Morris

An erotic story featuring a happily married polyamorous couple, Jack and Debra, and the gifts they give each other for the holiday season. There’s lots of hot, hot sex in this one, starting on the very first page. Kudos for creative gift giving and toy-sharing!

An Indecent Proposition - Stephanie Julian
After Erik is damaged physically in an accident, his sexual escapades with his best friend and business partner Keegan come to a halt, until a lovely young lady catches Erik’s eye at a party and Keegan seeks to help his friend overcome the emotional scars of his accident with an indecent proposal. But Julianne catches on quickly, and does much more than just help Erik get sexual release.

I liked this story, even though the holiday theme was sparse. There was plenty of emotion and hot sex, and when I got to the end, I wanted to know where this threesome might be going next.

So overall, a 4 out of 5 rating.

Review only for Share Me by Olivia Cunning

Okay, so I think I have a 'thing" for Olivia Cunning's rocker boys...unfortunately, some of her stories...not so much. This short is a prequel to the Sole Regret's novellas. I was really hoping it would be about a future romance but that doesn't seem to be the case. Instead it's an all out orgy...even the bus driver gets involved. Thankfully, we don't get the full details about him.

Mainly the story has to do with two girls who watched a Sole Regret benefit concert and decided to follow the bus out of town. The bus pulls over due to a snow storm and the sexfest begins. One bonus is that we get more of Owen and Kellen who haven't had their novellas yet but of course, Shade gets involved. Everyone else does too, we just don't get all the details. There is bondage involved as well as ménages, some 'sort of' m/m and some f/f.

I really enjoy the guys and like their relationship with each other. Reading about Owen playing Santa was especially endearing. But like Owen said:

"He might have considered calling her if she hadn’t slept with every last one of his band mates. Oh, and his bus driver."

Just change the 'calling her' to 'liking the book'.

Brain and Candace's story was 5 stars for sure! The rest were between 3 and 4 stars for me! Some of these stories were super hot and smexy, a few were a little on the raunchy side, but it was a very naughty xmas read indeed!

When you get a Christmas gift that includes 2 of your favorite authors (Olivia Cunning & Cherrie Lynn), what more could a girl ask for??? An introduction to 3 more authors. Yeah! Merry Christmas to me. Now I just have one question . . . is the story continued in another book for "An Indecent Proposition" by Stephanie Julian? Some of the author's stories say at the end that thier stories are continued and give you the book titles. Stephanie's list some of her other books but not specifically one continueing this story line. So, I am reading all her book descriptions looking for my characters. I want to read more!!!!

Light me up by Cherrie Lynn.

We get to visit with Brian and Candace at Christmas time.
This short story was as sexy as you could wish for, but that was to be expected when Brian Ross is involved.
The story start with the couple at Candace's parents annual Christmas party. Brian has decided to liven things up by convincing Candace to wear a remote controlled vibrator.
Much fun and sexy times follow.
The ending was sweet and was a perfect read for the lead up to Christmas.

I have not read any of the Sole Regret books, as I was waiting until they were all released so I could enjoy them back to back, but with this steamy prequel. I don't know if I will be able to wait to start seeing these sexy men in their own stories. This short story has me intrigued.

I will admit that the two females in this story did not really appeal to me. I read for romance and happy ever afters, and that was not what I found with this story, but I did still enjoy reading about these sexy as sin males.

88888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888

Jingle Ball by Cari Quinn

A steamy little m/f/m story that sadly didn't give me enough information about Des, the main male character for me to truly enjoy this story. The ending was sweet, but I was left feeling like I needed more to truly enjoy this. It didn't really work for me, but Ms Quinn's writing style was enjoyable, and I will be trying some full size works of hers in the future.

Christmas is Coming by Raven Morris

A story about a married couple who are very happy to experiment in the bedroom amongst other places. They both bring in another person as each others present and the real fun for them begins.
No real story line to be found with this one, but it was definitely a quick, hot read, with a touch of humour.

As of right now this review is only for Share Me

When I read about Lindsay in Tell Me and about this whole group debacle she and the band got themselves into, I couldn't help but admit my curiosity was piqued. I went into Share Me telling myself that this "situation" happened way before the boys were all tied down and stamped with "unavailable."
Ok, we all know what this "situation" was...an epic orgy between all the swoon worthy guys from Sole Regret and two obsessed fans that got down right lucky one night. Just trying to keep the suspence. (Fail)
During my read with Tell Me, I was a bit put off with Lindsay and the way she was acting, especially since she crossed the line by giving my book BF Gabe the evil eye, but was filled to the till with curiosity about their one night steamy encounter and was beyond excited when I found out there was in fact a little novella exactly about that particular night.

The night takes place with Lindsay and her sassy friend Vanessa, and focuses primarily on the raunch between Lindsay, Kellan and Owen, which was HOT. The ropes...ugh. (Fans self dramatically) The ending of their little tryst confused the hell out of me, (between the three of them, well...more like the two of them...lol) if you read it you know what I'm talking about, which was hot, but still utterly confusing.

I also kind of liked the fact that this read was strictly about sex, and there wasn't a drop of romance in sight. It is a nice change up from my typical reads where usually there's a lot of lovey dovey mixed with the naughty naughty. Still, I much prefer the latter, but as I said, this read was a nice change up.

If you love the Sole Regret boys and are interested in this group orgy they partook in, definitely give Share Me a go. I will say I was a wee bit disappointed that I didn't get to really experience Gabe's encounter, but maybe it's for the better..who knows. All in all it was a fun read that quenched my thirst for that one very snowy night on the bus with the Sole Regret boys.

This was definitely a collection of very naughty novellas (the title does not disappoint). I bought this because I am a huge fan of Cherie Lynn and Olivia Cunning and wanted to read more about Brian and Candace and the hot rockstars of Sole Regret.

Share Me is a prequel to the series. There were definitely some steamy moments and I had to fan myself a few times because the temp in the room seemed to have increased. I have to say that I liked Lindsey and Vanessa at the beginning of the book, but by the time I got to the end, I was disappointed in the girls. That decreased my rating. I do have to say that Olivia Cunning can certainly deliver.

Jingle Ball had a good storyline but the execution wasn't what I expected. I liked the ending but I didn't know what to feel about the first half of the book. Yet another novella with some great steamy reads.

Light Me Up was by far my favorite book. I absolutely love Candace and Brian and am so happy for them. This book was right up my ally and was entertained by Brian at the Christmas Party.

An Indecent Proposition took me by surprise and would actually like to read more about Erik, Keegan and Julianne. A tragedy for Erik has lowered his self esteem and Keegan, his best friend, would be willing to help him out. Julianne is daring and I took a liking to her.

Christmas is Coming was the book that I could not read all the way through. I actually skimmed the majority of the book and didn't feel like I missed anything is the novella when I did pick up and read a page or two. I'm glad that they have a healthy sex life and there wasn't a lot of development for the characters (which at times is to be expected), but I really wanted to at least get some info on the characters. Definitely some HOT moments.

ok....I don't really know how to review or express my feelings on this book. I originally purchased this book because of Cherrie Lynn and Olivia Cunnings stories were in this book. I have to say I haven't read a lot of anthologies and I think I know why. The stories are too short. I have read many novellas, but for some reason these just didn't do it for me. I realize naughty was in the title but WOW these books took sex to a whole nother level. The first story really pushed my limits and I don't consider myself a prude but I got a really bad vibe about the sex in this story...at least in the first half. I have also read menages before but there was something wrong with this one. I guess my biggest problem was the lack of a storyline in each individual story, it seemed like it was just about sex. Sometimes that is just too much. Anyway maybe I will go back and finish this book....when I need a sex fix ;)
