Jamaica the land of fun and sun becomes the one place Della-Lee needs to escape. Wrapped up in a web of murder, sex and betrayal she seeks to escape the man that took her from her little ghetto in Montego Bay to the lush hills of St. Andrew where wealth was on display.
Della-Lee spent her life dreaming of one day becoming the Queen and Mark made that dream come through. But the price that she now needed to pay had become dangerously high. Mark now wanted blood – much too high a price to pay for Jumping Carnival.
A colourful read that chronicles Della-Lee’s journey to her dreams and nightmares. It is also a reminder that not all that glitters is gold. It’s hard to say more without giving away the story. Well written, the plot develops beautifully, keeping you engaged for the life of the read. The characters are well developed allowing you to visualize and get into the psychological state of each character. I can’t wait to see were Marisa takes Della-Lee next.
