AN AWESOME READ!!! This book had my emotions on a high like that ride over the Stratosphere Casio in Las Vegas. I don't know where she gets here storylines, but a lot of writers can learn from it. The plot was FANTASTIC, the character interaction was AMAZING and the flow was PHENOMENAL. To say things like what goes on in the family stays in the family is an understatement. You will not be disappointed with this read. Just make sure you have tissue, a bottle of wine and someone else reading it at the same time to discuss it. It is that good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, 5 STARS.

I checked this book out from the library after falling in love with this author's historical romance Passion's Furies. Unfortunately, this book is written with a completely different writing style. I felt distanced from all the characters in the story and thought the story was rather predictable. The dialogue is believable, emotions believable and I liked the description. I just couldn't get into the story.

This was an amazing novel. Rich, unexpected. There is a thin line between love and hate, AlTonya proves it in this family saga. You feel the hate, the anger and the love. Great job, AlTonya!

This story was way different from what AlTonya normally writes. I gave it 5 stars because it was well written not due to the subject matter. That was taboo for real.
