Interesting history in the introduction and little bits throughout. However, half the projects are cross stitched patches attached to other things. I'm not a big fan of patches. They look wrong to me, not part of the object, like an afterthought. The rest is blackwork and more cross stitch with the exception of some embroidered lids of boxes that are quite pretty.
