ऐखाद्याला समजुन घेण, म्हणजे नेमक काय करण असा सवाल आधी पडायचा आणि आताही पडतो, कधीकधी.
प्रत्येकाच्या मनाचा गुंता सोडवत बसताना, आपलहि मन आहे आणि तेही धडपड करत राहत, सतत आपल्यालाही कोणीतरी समजुन घ्याव या एका आशेनेच, याचा विसर पडुन जातो. अशा वेळी समुद्र किनारी जाऊन बसुन राहव फक्त, रित कराव आपल मन त्याच्या खोल डोहात आधी. आणि मग ऐकाव समोरच्याच, तेव्हा नक्की लागेल थांग त्यांच्या मनात चाललेल्या असंख्य हालचालिंचा आणि आपोआपच सुटत जातील प्रश्न, अन सापडत जातील न विचारलेल्या प्रश्नांचीहि उत्तर.

Read a good Marathi book after ages. It starts off slow (Or maybe because I was rusty) and just when you feel it is going to be a dull read; author introduces a twist.

The story is about middle-aged long married couple, how their relationship evolved over time. The mental turmoil both of them go through and how they handle it, is definitely the highlight of the book.

Definitely a good read, maybe not for everybody!

समंदर मिलिंद बोकील के मराठी उपन्यास समुद्र का हिन्दी अनुवाद है। उपन्यास का अनुवाद पद्मजा घोरपड़े जी ने किया है। अनुवाद अच्छा हुआ है और उपन्यास पढ़ते हुए आपको कहीं भी नहीं लगता है कि आप एक अनुवाद पढ़ रहे हैं।
उपन्यास भले ही सौ पृष्ठों से कम है और भले ही इसमें केवल दो किरदार हैं लेकिन उपन्यास आपको सोचने के लिए काफी कुछ दे देता है। पढ़ने के कई दिन बाद तक मैं भास्कर और नन्दिनी के विषय में सोचता रहा।
उपन्यास एक बार पढ़ा जाना चाहिए।

Good start to 2023 with a 4⭐book!
I actually listened the audibook to utilise my commuting time & found this gem on Audible.
A short story about a wife who cheats on her husband & later justifies with some hogwash which doesn't make much sense & still the husband forgieves her in the end. Storyline might not be that great, but the narration & the setting is something I really liked.
Also, the book was originally listened on January, but with my wedding & all, couldn't write reviews & fell behing on the reading part. Let's buckle up now :D
