Goodreads summary:
Love and destiny wait for no one.
Skyla Messenger is in the arms of death.
While Skyla awaits the verdict of the faction war, she makes some troubling discoveries. Covenants that were sealed in the past come back to haunt her, and she must make hard decisions that will effect all those around her.

My Thoughts:
First off, I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Paragon with Skyla-the faction war, the "love quadrangel" with Marshall, Gage and Logan, and then all the other secondary characters I'd grown to care about. I devoured each book as it came out, eagerly anticipating the next. With this one, there was a bit of trepidation, seeing that this is the last of the young adult books of Celestra before Skyla's adventures move on to the "new Adult" category.

This particular installment did wrap up a lot of the loose ends from the other books and answer the looming questions on the "why's" in Skylas past which I appreciated. I do think that the book being split into two parts just made it too long however. As another reviewer stated, most of the novel was spent with Skyla flitting from one boyfriend to the next and then feeling bad about her momentary choice later. The ending was a bit unsatisfying, but as I think on it,there's really no other way for it to have ended.

This is all not to say I disliked the book. I enjoyed the humor and the depth to the characters that Addison Moore always delivers on. I do reccommend it to those readers who enjoy unrequited love, treachery, and love triangles with a bit of humor and a touch of sadness thrown in.

I'm sad to say goodbye to this part of Skyla's journey, but she does have some interesting days ahead!

Addison, Addison, Addison. You are a great writer, but me and you just do NOT have the same concept of the word END.

You see the first ah I don't know, shall we say 6?, books in the Celestra series were GREAT. Yeah the love quadruple was more than a little annoying but since I was enjoying the Celestra ride and still on a high from book 1 I was lenient. But then after that the love quadruple was sickening, painful to read and so over the top.
But as any loyal fan, I couldn't give up hope that the ending was going to be worth the mental stress of reading Skyler's flit from one guy to the next, being completely selfish, ungrateful and a total head case.
But no instead of giving us a satisfying conclusion we have no real end, finish, finale. I'll hide the next bit for those potential Celestra series readers.

Do not read this review if you have not read the last book. It contains many spoilers. Stop reading now.
Don't you think it's awkward for Marshall to be married to her (as a spirit wife) and Logan to be married to her (for real) while she dates Gage until he dies? They are supposed to be friends with her, even though she loves them all, while being faithful to Gage. Are they really going to be 'just friends' because you know Skyla will not be okay with Logan or Marshall dating anyone else even though she's with Gage.
Why would Logan come back and be around if 'this is Gage's time' knowing how Skyla feels about him. Is it really Gage's time if her two husbands are lurking in the background and still a part of her life because she 'can't live without any of them'.
The book says she's grown up and matured and isn't a kid anymore, she's a woman now, but she's just a selfish woman now instead of a selfish girl in high school. At one point I thought she was going to let Gage go because it's the right thing to do. To let him move on and get over her and find someone new who will put him first and they could have a real relationship, but no, that didn't happen. He's choosing to be in a relationship with her knowing Logan is next, her and Logan will have a child together, then when Logan dies it will be Dudley's turn.
It's just weird and I didn't like it. She should have made a decision and let the other two go.

UPDATE

I've had time to mull over this and...yeah, I'm done. It was a fun ride, but I won't be following Skyla into her NA series. I hate this because I was really looking forward to the new series. However, with as disappointed as I am in how things ended or will continue or whatever, the books just won't have the same appeal as before.

Don't let this deter you from reading any of the Celestra books or the upcoming NA series! Ms. Moore is a very talented writer who will suck you right into the worlds she creates. This is just my own reaction to how things ended, and fortunately there are so many others who loved the ending and how the love quadrangle was tied up. I'm just sad that I wasn't one of them.

Original review
I'm really not sure how I feel about Elysian right now. That is definitely a first for me, and it is very surprising to me because I absolutely love this series and have given all preceding books 4 stars.

Don't get me wrong, it was another one of Ms. Moore's entertaining and emotion-inducing books, and so many questions were finally answered. It was also crazy long, which is always a plus for me. I cannot yet, however, give it a star rating because I truly don't know what to feel about how the love quadrangle was wrapped up, as well as how Chloe was dealt with and the whole last portion altogether. I guess I'm still trying to digest it. It really is another high-star book for the content and how closure was given to most things, excluding what seems will be carried over to Skyla's new series, which is to be expected from this talented lady, but I don't like how conflicted I feel about the end. This sucks because I don't want to feel like this.

I do have to recommend reading it though if you have followed along with Skyla's journey. And if you haven't, then you need to get started on book 1, Ethereal, right away and the related Countenance series. It is an angsty, emotional, page-turning series, and I am so glad I happened to stumble on Ethereal when I was actually looking for a different book. I'm pretty sure that I never did read the other book I was looking for when I came across this series!

I hated the ending. I never like Logan, even from the start. I wish she hadn't married Logan and then went to Gage. I don't like how everything seemed to fall into place. I wish there was some heart break involved. Dudly and Logan should have never gotten a chance by Skyla. Gage should have been the one and only. I feel bad for Gage for being 2nd choice.

In the end, I also wish Skyla would have killed Chloe. I wish Chloe didn't suffer for Ezrina. Chloe should have died and ended up in the Transfer.

I wish there would have been more romance in this book. Instead Skyla spent the entire book deciding which one she wanted.

well, honestly i started reading and then i just said, oh fuck it! I skimmed until i got to the end. Now i know, i know this is blasphemous...but i couldnt help it!! I didnt want to read anymore about how much she loved them all. I wanted to know what the fuck happened. Anyway, it was ok honestly and I even skimmed the best part. Im sorry but this should have been wrapped up better and in some of the 8 freaking books she should have just picked and let it be.

I did not enjoy this book. I did not like Skyla's incessant inner ramblings. I can only take so much of Gage is so beautiful, no...Logan is so beautiful, no...Marshall is so beautiful! My God girl, pick one guy and be done with it. But she can't pick just one guy. She wants, no she needs to have them all. And they allow her to do it! Each of the guys would have been better off never having met her. She uses each one of them in turn. She also gets insanely jealous when one of them merely talks to another girl, while she is in the vicinity. Yet she is the only one that they are allowed to be with?! Ugh. Can you say double standard?

At one point I did enjoy this series. The first few books I guess. Then it all went downhill. I honestly don't know how fans of this series can be satisfied with Skyla ending up with her quadrangle romance. And that Logan, Gage, and Marshall are all satisfied with just being one of her few and are all content with sharing her like a piece of meat.

The way I would have ended it, would be: for Skyla to end up with Logan, Gage to be good-turned-evil and end up with Chloe, and for Sector Marshall to be satisfied with the skanks traipsing in and out of his mansion. Now there's an ending!

I don't really know how to feel about this book. It did clear up a lot of things that needed to be addressed and tied up a lot of loose ends. I do however feel obligated to give this book five stars because for one reason the ending was left on what I felt to be a hopeful scale. I loved Logan and Marshall in this book and Gage is just Gah!!! I like how things turned out and what Skyla was able to find out about her future.

Pardon my language but I will say one thing. Chloe is such a freaking bitch. Seriously I would have strangled her the moment she showed up. (Which I guess she kind of tried to do but still)

Her family is just really, really strange?!?!?! messed up I don't really know their just really, really weird. I did very much enjoy this book and think all that happened in it was necessary in order for Skyla's, Gage's, Marshall's, Logan's etc. Life to move forward. I'm still kind of rooting for Marshall though. Although Logan and Skyla and Gage and Skyla are just as good I suppose.

The same things

The author has no creativity in her writing. She reused the same lines over and over. I'm so glad this sort of finished things so I can put this horror behind me.

"It just feels so safe being like this with logan/gage/marshall." Blech. I swear this line just kept coming; made me cringe every time...

Book 8, but really 9 since 7 was two parts. The Celestra series was one of the FIRST paranormal series that I picked up when I got back into reading. There were times where Skyla drove me absolutely BATSHIT insane, there were other times where I felt like we were just getting jerked around in circles and that it would never come to some sort of resolution that was understandable. Even in this book I was so confused for so much of it... then Addison laid it out there and I was like this really is a magical series!

I am so excited to start Celestra Ever After since this was a resolution of sorts but still left many questions unanswered. One thing no matter my thoughts on the entire story that I have loved through out this series is the way that Addison Moore writes. She is hands down one of my most favorite writers. There is nothing like curling up with one of her books on a dark, rainy, day and getting lost in the gothic-biblical beauty in the way that she writes. I just cannot believe it's done.

3.5/5

I'm heart broken with this story. as with most fellow readers we have fallen in love with Paragon and each of its characters... whether it was lust or love to hate, we had a reason to want to see this through. I felt extremely let down with the lack of conclusion. After what, 9 or 10 books, some of which were 2 in and of themselves...We could have covered more ground.

the last few chapters here were rushed, whereas the rest of the book was so drawn out, I wanted to scratch my eyeballs out! don't even get me started on the Skyla spinoff. we really didn't get anywhere other than we know the order in which Skyla will sleep with whom. think about it. I'm right.

What can I say? This was an emotional roller coaster. I was laughing, smiling, crying... It was a bittersweet ending as I wanted a resolution to the series, but I didn't want it to come to an end either. Well- I guess not really an ending since there is supposed to be a new series which I will very impatiently wait for. The ending was everything I wanted and more- I was torn as Skyla was between Logan, Gage, and Marshall. Although- my heart leaned towards Logan and I have a feeling Skyla's does, too.

Amazing series. Wow this is one book you can't predict what's going to happen. There is literally more going on in this book than almost any other book I've read, but it is a good thing, because I love it. I'm glad that the story will be continued on for those who want and there was a little closure for others. I will be following along because I want to see exactly how all this plays out!

Thank you Addison Moore for giving us such a complex book that is entertaining with every page turn and keeps giving us surprises.

I can found it difficult give a star rating because thing were not quite wrapped up for me. I also find the three suitors thing difficult to stomach, I guess because I am team Gage through and through. I did think that the writing in the Logan- Skyla moment was beautiful..without giving a spoiler to those who haven't read it

Last book in the series and your certainly on the roller coaster with skyler. Who will she choose, how will she choose, how can you choose one from three perfect men. This is one ending I didn't see coming. Great conclusion to a great series. Can't wait to read about her new adventures

This is the last in the series and I wanted to wait until I finished the whole series to give my review. First let me preface by saying it took a long time for me to read this whole series. Not because of the writing, its a wonderful series. I just have a very busy home life and I dont always get to read when I want.

I loved this series. It was a take on Nephilim lore I havent read before and I enjoyed it. The main characters were well developed and some were complex and I love how a few of them had motivation that didnt become clear until the last book. Thats a great way to keep the readers interested. I know I was dying to know what some of them were up to and why.

I appreciate how Addison incorporated actual teen life. I know its not a good thing but making the readers aware of high school drinking, parties, sex, and teen pregnancy. The characters made it seem cool and that part I didnt like but I appreciate the fact that Addison didnt leave it out. It made the book relatable.

I think the characters were well written and all had a depth to them that made them easy to relate to. Not for me as I am in my 30s but I can look back on my life and relate to some of the things. There are some things that I didnt like about the series' main triad. Our protagonist was a bit of a pushover in the beginning and some of it still remained throughout the series. It drove me nuts how she continued to let Chloe humiliate her on EVERY level. I was waiting for the scene when Skyla would have enough and just beat the daylights out of her and I was upset when I didnt get it the way I envisioned it. Chloe, the series' antagonist was every girl Ive ever hated in ever stage of my life. I wanted her to die in this series so bad. Terrible to say about a character but her this is my review and I can feel how I want. She was spoiled, spiteful, vindictive, and just an all around ahole!

Logan was easy to figure out as primary love interest for our protagonist. I appreciate the triangle that was setup but it was too obvious. Just once, I would love to see the protagonist choose themselves and leave the love part out of it. Sure it can be there as the story progresses but leave it alone.

The rest of the characters, I cant really call them secondary but they kind of are. Secondary is the way I describe them because even though they had huge roles to play in this series, I feel like the story could have gone on without some of them. Maybe not Marshall. He was my favorite. He was funny and smart and naughty lol. I love how he inserted himself into Skylas life and never left. How he never made it a secret that he was in love with her. He was unapologetically him and thats why I liked him so much.

Okay I will shorten the rest as I am super sleepy.

Drake-Loser (Sorry Brielle)
Brielle-Why was she even in the book?
Emily-Skank. You dont sleep with your friend's baby daddy. (Yes I went there)
Michelle-Weirdo from Planet Desperate
Lex-Why was she in the book?
Nat-Wanna be tough girl. Why were you in the book?
Kragger family aside from Emerson-Alpha males that should have died.
Ellis-Pothead turned good guy! (I approve)
Dmitri-Creepy but I was secretly hoping for him and Mrs. Landon (didnt pay attention to her name).
Mrs. Landon-Idiot. Tad is a loser. And the extra nipple thing? Ewww
Ethan-Yeah another pointless person in my opinion.
Gage-Good time. I was skeptical of him at first but he redeemed himself.
Candance-I wouldnt nominate her for MOM OF THE YEAR thats for sure.
Mia & Melissa-Ugh! I wanted a fem to rip their heads off. Just uber annoying.
Dr. and Mrs Oliver-Sweet loving parents.

I know there are so many other characters in the series that I am forgetting to mention which goes to show that they didnt need to be included hahahaha. I recommend this series. HIGHLY! It was well written. I, for one, am a huge fan of prolonging to get the story finished in a satisfactory manner. Thank you, Addison Moore for that!
Ive read some reviews where the readers were upset with the ending and I am not one of them. I loved how it ended. I would change one thing and that would be what happened to Chloe. Im not going to go in to details but I wasnt satisfied with that.

If youre looking for a great supernatural/fantasy/paranormal romance and you like series, I suggest to give Celestra a read!!!!!!!!!

Errr...

Its ok... The only part i like about it in whole up till this book is the only constant the author have wrote about the special sector. At least he is the only consistency throughout and unlike all the other main characters that seems so melodramatic. And the destint of the chosen one is... Well... Slightly not to what i thought i would get to read. More of being shocked instead of surprised... The content itself is very complex already, at times the way the story works just doesn't seem to get it together at all. Yeah and thats the best rating i can give.

Maybe promise, no execution

The author is all over the place. Overly flowery language, no continuity, and a world that probably only makes sense in her head. The protagonist is a clueless, indecisive cheerleader thrown into a war that makes no sense. every platitude that you've ever heard of is there as the moral of the story. I read the entire series, hoping it would get better. But it failed in every way.

So this one I like a little more then the last 3 book, however it was still the same old thing going on as in the last 5 books. Okay I got that she loved all 3 guys, that she could choose between them, how did I see that she was eventually going to be granted a life where she is with all three of them eventually! I mean come on, isn't she a lucky gal. But really I feel like Gage has gotten the short end of the stick the whole time and he was the one that was specifically put in Skyla's life to be destined for her, I mean the guy save himself completely even his kisses for her and she constantly was throwing him under the bus, running to logan when he was around and totally tearing him apart the whole time, but he still stayed faithful to her and now he even gave life 1/3 of his life away so logan can come back and be with her for a period of time. I mean come on he deserved to have a nice girl be granted into his life and have Skyla not be the girl for him because how he acted was exactly how he should have been granted in return, but no he get to be skyla's "first husband" for a few good years probably, they sadly will have no kids and then she will move to logan, have a child and then who knows she may have a child with marshall as well, when their "time" comes. She was also blessed I guess with having a sector love her since now she will not age a day because Marshall of course will want to enjoy her in her youthful state. Goodness. Then theres the whole parents having a baby thing, with her mom still swooning for the fem, I mean really! Talk about teaching people its okay to willing flirt and flaunt over another man who is not your husband, then theres the horrible example or using no protection with Drake in pregnanting 2 DIFferent girls! I mean really and freaken Skylas mom and step mom taking pretty much full custody of the first grand baby and Bri totally okay with not seeing her own child. WHat kind of F**ked up message was that!? A "Oh if you have a grandma figure who wants to take care of your kid because you decided you still want to be a teen and not take care of your own flesh and blood by all means leave him there and act like he's not your responsibility." The only good message that was really given was when Logan and Skyla got married before they had sex. I mean I love that they waited, finally a teen book where the main characters wait, emphasize on main! since all the other characters were going at it like bunnies in heat. But I am glad that they got married first, though I was super sad that Gage was not her first, I felt with all that he saved and did for her he at least deserved to be her first. But her mommy dearest apparently had a stronger poll and Logan won that. Thats what makes me sad, because logan did not wait for skyla or anything, he was a womanizer before she came, but I guess he also did not have the gift of knowing to keep in at bay to wait for the right person. Oh well... this book also ended just like I thought it would with no ending and leaving it off for another book, although in this case she is making a new series. Sadly I kind of want to see what the new series wil be like. I don't agree on the adult part, I feel Skyla will not grow up till shes like 25 with how she was acting this whole series. But I would like to see what life is like with each of her guys, the ups and downs with each relationship and if her and Gage are blessed with a child as well. God I hope so and I hope they get his black hair and blue eyes!
