In the wastelands of America silent predators stalk their victim. For a survivor in these ruins they must learn to run and hide. Except for one lone man who would rather be found. Armed to the teeth he finds it easier when people don't know his name. For one lone survivor, she will learn to become his voice.
This book was just horrible! The characters are just not interesting and there is really nothing in this book that makes it redeeming in any way shape or form.

One character is introduced to another and it's just horrible. One character sits down in a car and someone just starts talking to her. We're not told that the character who sits down sees someone in the car, no one says hello, we don't get a physical description of the person and we don't even get an acknowledgement that they even know someone is there. We just all of a sudden have a dialogue started and suddenly the main character is talking with this person. I've seen this done before and one of the characters jumps in surprise because they didn't know someone was there, but this was not the case.
Later we are told this character's name is Casper. Casper is shot by one of the other characters, whose name I cannot say here because it is a very vulgar term. So this guy then shoots Casper because Casper coughed. The other character states Casper had the zombie virus. That's a pretty big leap of faith based on just a cough. What if he had some dust in his throat or had a sore throat?
This book was just horrible and I can't recommend it to anyone. The author clearly has no talent and should really take some creative writing courses at a community college or something, because this isn't even worthy of being called fan fiction.
The Character, who is nicknamed Ghost, is basically a scared little mouse. I had a strong dislike for Ghost throughout the whole novella. I just don't understand the "I give up" Mentality she gives off.
There was very little action going on for such a short book and the fact that this was a zombie book. When reading a zombie book, you expect horror, action, thrill, suspense, or something of the like. Not the monotone monologue that is coming from Ghost throughout the first quarter of this book.
There were some grammatical errors, and while novellas are usually great when world-building at the beginning of a series, I felt that this novella lacked world development. There was zero name creativity going on in this book too. A** Whole? Ghost? What kind of nicknames are those.
This book could have been a bit longer, so it didn't feel so rushed. Also, a slightly longer book could have allowed for better world-building for this series.

AFTERMATH: FOUND (at least this piece of it) is a sample from a larger work. It's a quick 8 page read, and I have to say that it grew on me and I may actually spend my cold hard electronic cash to obtain a copy.
Initially, it got off to a rocky start. The 'voice' of the main character was a bit stilted and there were some grammatical errors (at least that's what my inner ear told me), but soon the author got his footing and the action drew me in.
I'd say this story/author/book has potential. This piece was well formatted with only 1 typo.
If you're into the Zombie genre and looking for you next Zombie read, you should check out this sample.
Our protagonist, a nameless white chick, encounters a stoic black guy, whom she calls Asshole due to his pleasant personality, tries to survive the ZA. The writing and ideas are smart, but the editing is sloppy and decreased my enjoyment of the story. I'll still try the second in this series regardless.
