*This is a prelude to the Alexa's Travels series. It is 100 pages.
They came from the West Seven fighters to the end One stunning blonde warrior Leading six hard-ass men
Long years after the war of 2012 devastated America, a group of survivors has come out of the radiation zones in the West. On an impossible quest to find those who came before them, these warriors follow the remnants of Safe Haven... and let nothing stand in their way.
Alexa is a leader of men. She culled her companions from the dwindling herd of mankind because she sensed they alone might have the strength to make the journey and each battle fought at her side tightens their bonds. For her, their quest is about more than finding a safe place. It's about the search for her missing family.
This is a post-apocalyptic book which shows promise, it's a short read but I liked all the main characters Alexa and her team plus the world in which they find themselves. This is the first book I've read by this author and the decision I have to make now is do I continue on and read Bone, Dust and Beginnings or do I go back to Life After War.
This is a short book to bridge between the Life after War series and Alexa's Travels series. This book lacked the intensity and depth of characters found in the Life after War series. Perhaps it is expecting too much too soon. What I can say is that I am now on to Book 1 of Alexa's Travels.
Has continued her look into life after the United States has become a nuclear waste land. The lead character is the daughter of Safe Haven, of the Life After War series.
Not what I expected. Fantastic Story. Loved the characters. Kept me turning through the pages to see what happened next. Intense. I was wanting more the second I started reading.
I started Angela White's series from a free book offer (kindle) and it hooked me enough so that I have read several (most this year). If you like dystopian works you will probably enjoy the series. Stretches the imagination in parts, but it holds together and being an Indie fan I was willing to over look a few flaws in the first couple books. Both the editing and writing has improved with each book. the scene on the Island (not this book) was intense.
